Conjure up Mediterranean dishes, plan your activities in peace and quiet and round off a long day in the sun with a relaxing games evening or a good read.

First thing in the morning, you can stroll to the sandy beach for a refreshing swim before enjoying the view of the water over breakfast on the terrace. Fire up the barbecue at sunset and chat into the balmy summer nights with wine and candlelight.

Add variety to your beach holiday. Cycle through the picturesque coastal landscape, hike in the Sila National Park and stroll through the narrow streets of Tropea. Sample local specialities in cosy trattorias, discover hidden bays on a boat tour and visit the historic monastery of Santa Maria dell'Isola. For the more adventurous, take a day trip to Capo Vaticano with its spectacular cliffs and snorkelling opportunities.
