The wide sandy beaches of Oostduinkerke are also just 8 kilometres away, ideal for a day at the seaside. There is more than enough to discover in the surrounding area. Visit atmospheric Veurne (10 km) or enjoy peace and nature in the beautiful De Blankaart domain (14 km), where you can take lovely walks among water, reeds and meadow birds. Ostend airport is also conveniently located 24 km away.

Diksmuide is known for its breathing space: vast polders, green villages and peaceful landscapes. Put on your walking shoes and discover the quiet bowl fields in Lampernisse, the Viconia Kleiputten in Stuivekenskerke, the De Blankaart nature reserve in Woumen and the provincial domain IJzerboomgaard in Kaaskerke.
