The idyllic, detached wooden house (“Winnetou”) is on a park-like site, in the little town of Haschaberg at the foot of Bleschenberg. It is quietly situated on a side street with little traffic. The owner lives in the annex, which also has a sauna, fitness area and solarium that you are welcome to use (extra fee).
There is play equipment in the garden for all ages, including a swing, table tennis, grill area, ball games, bicycles and in winter an LL-ski and sledge. The terrace provides garden furniture and a parasol, a grill and a campfire space for outdoor festivities. There are swings for children and goal wall shooting for older children and adults. Table tennis and badminton, as well as beach games, are provided. You can park on site (car, motorbike, bicycles). Two bicycles are available for use free of charge. The house has been classified as four-star by the DTV, for occupancy with four people (valid until December 2016).
The ground floor (ca. 35m²) has a fully-equipped little built-in kitchen, with a range of electrical appliances (e.g. egg boiler, coffee machine, toaster, microwave) and tableware. Next to it there is the living room with an additional sofa bed, satellite TV, a corner bench, chairs and table for dining. From here you can access the sunny terrace for breakfast and sunbathing. Next to it there is a little hallway, with a bathroom with a shower, WC and washbasin. The attic, accessed up a little wooden stairway, comprises two charming bedrooms, each for two people, with double beds and bedside tables.
Owing to the proximity to the forest, you can gather mushrooms or go on a jaunt with the hunter. You can go fishing in the Schwarzach, about 1km away, and at the lakes (Perlsee, Silbersee, Eixendorfersee). In winter you can go skating on the carp and trout ponds and sledging on the slope, cross-country skiing and alpine skiing in the Voithenberg ski resort about 7km away, by the Czech border. You can go on extensive walks and hikes from the house and go swimming about 5km away. Every town and village has restaurants. Within 1-3km you can find a butcher and bakeries. The town of Waldmünchen with around 8000 inhabitants has a good range of shops about 5km away, so you can also walk or cycle there. You can also go on lovely tours in the Bohemian Forest by e-bike.
