About this property
"Der Kornspeicher" mit Terrasse by Interhome
size of property: 132m². year of construction: 1900.
This property, which is more than 100 years old, was converted to a holiday let in 1998 and is located on Scotland's north-eastern coast, halfway in-between Aberdeen and Inverness. The Lecht Ski Centre is one hour by car.
The enclosed site offers beautiful views of the surrounding fields. The 1,900 m² garden is ideal for families travelling with children. The terrace is furnished. The property offers secure parking for up to four vehicles on site. There is a wooden balcony by one of the house walls, with a table and chairs. This is a place to relax looking out over the landscape.
The two storey house of around 134m² with modern furnishing accommodates up to six people. On the ground floor, you will find the living room with a fireplace stove. The walls are covered by wood panelling, made by a local carpenter, exuding cosiness. Make yourselves comfortable in the armchairs and enjoy entertainment provided by the satellite TV (English and German channels), Wi-Fi and a piano. The spacious kitchen with a dining nook is equipped with a dishwasher, a washing machine and a very large fridge/freezer. There is also a wide sofa, where you can relax. Additionally, you will find a bedroom with an ensuite bathroom on the ground floor. The other bedrooms and a large bathroom with a bathtub and a shower are located on the upper floor. The two large bedrooms are furnished with a double bed each (specially made). Each of the rooms also has a single bed, for children. There are two clothes stands and some washing lines for drying laundry. Some are under the balcony, so they can also be used on wet days.
It is 800 meters to the nearest road. The sea is about one kilometre from the property. The area is ideal for bicycling, golfing, mountain biking but also visiting castles, restaurants and the beach. Buckie, the largest town in the area, is about five kilometres from the property and offers shops and supermarkets. There is also a swimming pool and numerous restaurants. The area is called Morayshire and is twice the size of Luxembourg. It is the centre of whisky production. Many distilleries offer tours and tastings.
Upon request, a highchair and a child's cot can be provided.
