What an amazing getaway! This place was perfect for our annual family vacation. We were so thankful for all the extra things such as a stocked kitchen, tons of kid toys, games, and so many surprises at the waterfront. The place is cozy and so sweet. We are coming back!
Beautiful home on the lake. Lots of space for the whole family. Really enjoyed the large deck and screened porch. Water was clear and caught lots of fish. Definitely plan to return.
A beautiful retreat in a beautiful setting. Some family and friends gathered to ski Birkie events and celebrate various milestones. The cabin was top shelf, and the nicely equipped kitchen was great for hosting group dinners. The views inside and outside are stunning
Great home with excellent amenities. Located on the snowmobile trail and plenty of room to park trailers on the road. Highly recommend renting this property.

Thanks for the great review Jeff! We’re so glad your family and friends enjoyed the snow and time together!
Our trip to the cabin was wonderful. We had a group of 16 ranging in age from 18 months-67 to celebrate a 40th wedding anniversary. The place fit everyone comfortably and had awesome accommodations for all ages. We especially enjoyed our evenings on the screened in porch, cooking on the blackstone, and the large yard/beach for yard games and plenty of sand castles for the kids! The kitchen had everything you would need, on top of space for everyone to gather comfortably when the weather was yucky. Highly recommend this spot!

Thx so much for the nice review Danielle! So glad your family enjoyed your time together!
I would recommend this to anyone! It was a great stay again. I’ve been to other VRBO homes and none compared to this one for cleanliness great communication with the host, and enjoyable stay! It’s worth every penny to make memories with your family here!
We brought our entire family on our summer stay...our three adults children, their spouses and our seven grandchildren. We rented a pontoon and jet ski from The Main Store in Webb Lake. The younger children loved the small beach and wading area. Panfish were abundant and we had a yummy meal.
House was just as shown in listing on VRBO. The open floor plan allowed my sisters, nieces and I the opportunity to all be together to play games, eat meals, enjoy the lake, have bonfires and play yard games together. The host was available as needed and responded to my questions in a timely manner. Overall we enjoyed our time and look forward to booking it again sometime!
We rented this beautiful lake home for a family birthday party. We had my granddaughter (4) up to my mother (77). The location was peaceful, the lake like glass, the kitchen well-appointed and the beds were comfy. And what a great layout for everyone to have their own space when needed! And the use of a canoe and kayak was a special treat. What a perfect getaway. Thank you so much for hosting us! P.S. It was so cool to hear the creatures outside at night.
We (four adults, two teens, and one 10-year-old) greatly enjoyed our long weekend in this beautiful property. It was very clean and well-stocked, having everything we needed. The paddleboat and kayak were nice additions and we also rented a pontoon to further enjoy time on the lake. We spent a lot of time at the firepit and, when the weather did not cooperate, the screen porch and pool table were great alternatives. Barb was very responsive to our questions before and during our stay. We highly recommend this property!

Thank you so much Pam for your kind words! We are so glad your family enjoyed your stay!
My family of 16 had a great time at this waterfront house. Plenty of room for all of us and my favorite place was the screened in porch. North woods theme was beautiful! The house was very clean and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We really enjoyed the waterfront patio and wicker chairs. We also had fun with the paddle board, and swimming mat. Barb was easy to communicate with and quick with a response. Thanks for letting us enjoy your home!
I stayed at the Bear’s Lair with 12 of my high school classmates. It is the perfect place to relax and reconnect. The house is SO well stocked with everything you could possibly need. The slope going down to the lake and campfire chairs is gentle and bricked. We enjoyed watching the fish swim in the crystal clear lake and campfires at night. The screen porch is also a big plus! If the bugs get bad it is the perfect place to escape to. We all said we would definitely book it again for our friends and families. Barb is so easy to communicate with and gave us excellent suggestions for activities and dinner.
This was our second stay at Bear’s Lair; everyone in agreement that we’re glad we returned. The dock with it’s lily pad and new, big floaty are a hit with the kids, as well as fishing off the dock. Water is crystal clear, but there is seaweed in the area. Doesn’t stop paddle boarding, canoeing or swimming. The campfire area has plenty of seating and there was firewood right there for our use. Equally great is the well-equipped kitchen, screen porch lots of seating and a cozy ambiance. Barb is fantastic and quick to communicate.
GREAT family vacation home!!!!. Our 3 sons and their wives along with our 8 grand children had so much to do, swimming, boating
(kayaking , paddle boat, canoeing) and the daily used lily pad. There was room in yard for whiffle ball games, touch football and ladder golf. The beach area is very shallow, our 2 year old could walk out several feet at only waist level. Inside the home there was room for all to be together or all to have some space to themselves. We hit a home run when we found this spot. Our grand-kids ranged in age 16 yrs to 3 months and there were activities both indoors and out for all. With three tvs available I can say that the only time any one was on was for the baseball all-star game (for about an hour). Too much to do without those. The house is stocked with anything you could think of and was so clean and decorated beautifully. Thanks to the Prins family for a great week.We can hardly wait to come back.

Thank you so much Tom and Lori. We’re so glad your family enjoyed your stay and had some great family time together!!
This was our first stay at Bear’s Lair; we enjoyed everything the house, lake and area had to offer for our extended family of kids & grandkids. The kids loved fishing from the dock, playing on the lily pad and the sandy shore, and yard games. The adults could also enjoy the lake, multiple outdoor seating areas, hammock, paddle board and kayak. We do a lot of our own cooking and appreciated the well-equipped kitchen, and outdoor grills. The screen porch was ideal for setting up our family puzzle, reading and playing indoor games. Also handy on rainy days. Quiet neighborhood, quiet lake! We loved it and will be back next year!
We loved staying up north again this year. We all had enough room but not enough that we didn't see each other. Great house and lake to enjoy the great outdoors as a big family. The big table in the kitchen was great for card games. The lily pad was a fun addition. We can't wait to go back again.
This was a perfect place to stay with family. Room for everyone. Very comfortable. We loved the Sandy beach for the kiddos and the water being shallow near shore. We were able to easily rent a pontoon boat to enjoy on the perfect size lake.
Barb was excellent to work with and answered all our questions.
We have been searching for the perfect place for our family from grandparents to babies. And this was it! We will definitely be back!
My family had a wonderful week! Our group included adults and young kids and the property was such a great place for everyone. It’s so nice that the lake is so close to the house. My young kids loved playing in the sand and wading out into the water. The screen porch in so lovely—it is surrounded by trees so you feel like you are in a treehouse! We even heard barred owls calling back and forth to each other one night while sitting in the porch! One thing that I think is unique about this property is that it has a wonderful waterfront, a beautiful home, and it is in a forest so it feels rustic. Thank you to Barb for sharing this special place!
Very pleased with the property. Lots of space both inside and outside for the 13 family members. Highly recommended!

Twin cities family who loves the cabin!
Why they chose this property
Lovely flat wooded lot overlooking the quiet lake. We love how private the lot is, and gathering around the fire pit which is right down by the water is our favorite family time. The flat lot is great for games and the dock with benches is always a morning favorite, perfect for chatting over your coffee♥️
What makes this property unique
The privacy, the wooded view is from every window! There’s space for everyone, the screen porch is an huge favorite, and a lower level gives kids their own space. The bunkhouse over the garage adds another great gathering spot for cards or hanging out, the the flat yard, and large dock seating is the best spot of all to fish or relax or watch all the fun on the lake!
