The Laugaland House incorporates traditional Icelandic architecture with grass-covered roofs. It features a modern design with black exposed concrete, plenty of solid oak, and an interesting floor plan. The interior design was carefully planned. Features include a stunning, fully equipped solid-wood kitchen, a hot tub with a view of the ocean—half of which is open to the elements—and an audiophile stereo system with a library of over 20,000 tracks. In addition to the heated garage, a private laundry room is part of this home’s upscale amenities. The old Laugaland house once stood on this lot; unfortunately, it could no longer be renovated and was therefore replaced by two modern homes.
The house has just been completed. The photos are being updated regularly.

You could not beat the view here and the house was very well equipped. Make sure to read the entire package the owner sends as it has a lot of very specific information. It was a great end to our Iceland trip. We especially loved the Forest Lagoon nearby.
