Visitor’s Tax/Overnight Stay Tax of the Hanseatic City of Wismar (5%):
The Hanseatic City of Wismar levies a visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax of 5% on the travel price of the booked accommodation. This is not included in the travel price and will be billed separately upon booking. Since the visitor’s tax/overnight stay tax is not based on the number of guests, visitors to the Hanseatic City of Wismar will not be issued a visitor’s card.

Our holiday home, Ostseeglück, is located on the outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Wismar, just a 7-minute drive from the city centre and about a 15-minute drive from the Baltic Sea. Wismar is a city that exudes Hanseatic charm and is situated between Lübeck and Rostock. Since 2002, the Old Town, with its imposing brick churches, has been an UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Old Harbour is just a few minutes from the city centre and attracts visitors with its promenade, traditional sailing ships, fishing boats, and sightseeing vessels, as well as numerous cafés and restaurants. The island of Poel is just a few minutes’ drive away, where you can go swimming. You’ll find quiet and idyllic natural beaches, as well as long, wide sandy beaches.
