Our accommodation can accommodate up to nine people and is ideal for hikers, tour groups or professional bookers (construction workers). It has two cosy bedrooms, a modern bathroom with shower, a hallway and a spacious living room with kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for a delicious meal: a cooker with four induction hobs, a fridge with freezer compartment, a microwave, a kettle, a coffee machine, a toaster, plenty of crockery and cutlery and a mini oven for baking bread rolls. The extendable dining table seats up to nine people.
Imagine sitting in front of the crackling wood-burning stove in the eat-in kitchen after an eventful day in the great outdoors and enjoying the cosy atmosphere. On cold days, you can also warm yourself with the infrared heating in the bedroom and bathroom. WLAN is of course available. As our guests, you also have access to an idyllic garden (over 3000 square metres). Here you can refresh yourself under the garden shower or sweat in the sauna (for a fee).
Our domicile is located in the middle of the forest, but with a railway connection and good transport links to the motorway. Paulinzella Monastery - an important and rich abbey
Paulinzella Abbey was founded around 1102 by the Saxon noblewoman Paulina as a double monastery. She was the daughter of Truchsessen Moricho from the court of King Henry IV. The monastery was an important centre of the Hirsau Reform and owned rich property in the region. The monastery was dissolved in 1542 as a result of the Reformation and was transferred to the Paulinzella office. A small hunting lodge belonging to the Princes of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt was built on the monastery grounds.
