Home away from home! The loveliest rental home ever. Beautiful and very comfortable furnishings, super comfortable beds, big side porch, everything you could possibly need. Everyone in our party agreed that it was like being in someone’s very nice home - it doesn’t feel like a rental. I couldn’t recommend more highly!!!!

Wedding weekend stay

This property was so accomodating for our large family gathering for a wedding weekend. The spacious outdoor patio space, with woodburning fireplace, was particularly welcoming and provided adequate cover from the mountain storms.I would highly recommend this property for a large group of people, with comfortable beds for all, plenty of bathrooms, and cozy living spaces.

We all loved the covered deck. Perfect for catching up, playing games and enjoying the fireplace. We didn’t expect rain all weekend but it didn’t matter. Plenty of space throughout the house. We’d definitely recommend to others. The grand finale was a visit by a huge mama bear and her three cubs. Could not have scripted it any better.

Perfect spot for a girls weekend!

We could not have picked a better place to stay. The house was spacious and well equipped. The beds were so comfortable and the back porch with a fireplace was to die for. It was very close to town and to local restaurants. We would highly recommend to others!

Great location. Shared living spaces were awesome, especially the porch. We had a large party and there was plenty of room for all to gather together. The only complaint is the beds in a couple of the rooms were uncomfortable.

Family Spring Break

We stayed at Twig & Nest with our two teenagers and two teenage friends. Barbara's home is very warm and inviting and there is enough space for everyone to be together or have quiet time when needed.

Beautiful Experience

Barbara was a great host. Check in and instructions for the house were super clear and easy to follow. The house was perfect for us (8 adults). The covered outdoor area and fireplace were amazing for evening fires and conversation. And we loved the close proximity to downtown Highlands. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Twig and Nest house. It is a lovely property situated in beautiful woodlands conveniently located a short drive from town. It is very comfortably furnished, and the outdoor deck and fireplace were a delight. This was the perfect place for a warm reunion of lifelong friends. The hostess' communications were most helpful, and she provided spices, laundry detergent, and everything we needed for our stay.
