The Space:
Morning light filters through the forest canopy as birds trill and you sip freshly brewed coffee on the front‑porch swing. The scent of pine mingles with the gentle murmur of two creeks that converge into a private pond just steps from the house. As evening settles, the outdoor living area invites you to gather around the fire‑pit for s’mores while the stars peek through the treetops.
Sleeping arrangements
- Master bedroom on the main floor: king bed, en‑suite bathroom with deep soaking tub, smart TV, forest view.
- Bonus sleeping area on the main floor: twin trundle bed with access to a full bathroom and a smart TV.
Total beds: 1 king, 3 queens, 5 twins – comfortably sleeping up to eight guests.
Indoor living
The home spreads across three levels, each with its own living space and a 65‑inch smart TV. A cozy indoor gas fireplace anchors the main‑floor sitting room, while central air, heat and two mini‑splits keep the temperature just right. An office nook and a children’s playroom provide quiet corners for work or play.
Outdoor living
A covered pavilion with an oversized wood‑burning fireplace (currently out of order) overlooks the forest backdrop and rock wall. Comfortable couches, captain’s chairs and a 16‑person dining table create a relaxed setting for meals al fresco. A separate fire‑pit area is perfect for roasting marshmallows. The property spans two acres, offering creeks, a pond, and ample space for kids to explore salamanders, crawfish and birdlife.
Kitchen & dining
The fully stocked kitchen includes every appliance and utensil you might need, a coffee bar with Starbucks drip coffee, a mixology bar, Insta‑Pot, blender and kids’ plates. A breakfast bar seats three, while the formal dining room accommodates eight. High‑speed internet is available throughout the home.
Neighborhood
A two‑minute drive brings you to Blue Bike Café for a spectacular breakfast, and Main Street’s finest restaurants such as Wolfgang’s Restaurant & Wine Bistro and Ristorante Paoletti. Charming local shops—including C’Orrico, Annawear, Bear Mountain Outfitters and Wit’s End—are also just minutes away. The home is close to popular wedding venues, Old Edwards, The Farm and The Hutchinson House.
Pet policy
Dogs under 20 lb are welcome with prior written approval and a $250 fee per pet (maximum two). Service animals are exempt from this fee. Cats are not permitted.

We had a lovely first trip to highlands made even better by this well stocked and massive home! We were two families with 4 kids 4-9 years old and they loved all the different areas to play inside and out! The host was incredibly communicative and accommodating.
Comfortable, well stocked house in great location. We enjoyed the firepit and the gas fireplace during our stay. Host responded quickly to any concerns.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The house was so clean and inviting upon our arrival and the owners were very responsive to any questions. A family favorite was the outdoor fireplace, it was so cozy. The short drive downtown was also a nice perk. We are definitely hoping to come back and stay again!
Wonderful location, close to downtown highlands without feeling like it. The house was wonderful, cozy, clean, plenty of space for 3 families with kids. Lots of room outdoors for everyone to enjoy. The kitchen was very well stocked. Communication with the renter was easy ans they were very responsive. The local property manager was very helpful and even found my son's shoe we left and mailed it to me. Would 100% recommend and we will stay again!
We loved our time at this house. It was super comfortable and clean, fully stocked with a great layout for our family.

Thank you for your review! So glad you had a wonderful time, and found that the home had everything you need. We would love to have you stay with us again!
The home is gorgeous and appointed with absolutely everything we needed and wanted. It was our first visit to Highlands, and this house was a luxurious home base from which to explore. We loved our stay and hope to visit again in spring to see the rhododendrons.
Absolutely beautiful home, immaculate, and super comfortable- loved all the seating areas inside & out-we had a wonderful visit & cannot wait to return!
We had the BEST week at this house!! The property was absolutely incredible!! Well stocked, the comfiest beds, the cleanest house, the best amenities, and overall the greatest experience with a rental! We will definitely be back!

The house and property you are located just minutes from downtown Highlands and easy drive to Cashiers in surrounding areas. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need for preparing mealsand there’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out in the remaining part of the house. The linens and towels are all very nice and the decor is very updated. we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our visit.
This was the best property we have ever stayed at. It felt like a home with so many little touches that made a huge difference- extra blankets, spices, a great coffee maker, lots of rooms to hang out in. The home is gorgeous, has something for everyone, and the communication was excellent. We are already trying to figure out when we can . go back!
Such a beautiful and peaceful place. The home is exquisite and had everything we could possibly need for a comfortable stay. No detail was overlooked-truly a stunning and welcoming home. We greatly enjoyed hearing the stream while sitting on the porch and my toddler loved feeding the fish and exploring this beautiful property. We were happy staying in, but the home is very conveniently located to town. Already planning our next stay. Thank you for a wonderful weekend.

Thank you for your kind words! It sounds like you had a lovely stay at the home and enjoyed all of its amenities. It's great to hear that you had fun exploring the property and feeding the fish! The home really is a great place to get back in touch with nature. We would love to have you back anytime!
We recently sold our family vacation home in Highlands that we had for about 50 years. We were scouting for a property that would work even when we had a larger family gathering. Just 5 of us went up and every single individual just loved this property. The house is very large with beautiful rustic decor. The multiple bedrooms across three separate floors affords great privacy. The kitchen and laundry were incredibly stocked well beyond anything we've seen at this type rental. Great outdoor covered area with stone fireplace that can accomodate 10-15 people easily. We'll be back for sure.
Beautiful house with lots of room.
For large families I would recommend to provide more shampoo and cleaning supplies.
I would also recommend to provide more cleaning for those guest that bring pet. We experienced lots of dog hair all over 1st floor

Hi Sussan, Thank you so much for being our guest. We appreciate your feedback. We have steam cleaners scheduled this week. Unfortunately, they couldn't make it prior to your arrival due to back-to-back stays. Wish we knew about it during your stay, we would have had the housekeepers come back. Thanks again for the feedback. Have a wonderful holiday season!!
We had such a wonderful experience with this property! Before arrival our questions were all answered very quickly, and the house was beautiful. It was stocked with everything we could ever need, and then some! The house felt very clean, except for animal hair on some of the rugs but we live with animals so it didn’t bother us. I’m only mentioning to justify my 4 out of 5 stars. My family consists of my husband and I and our 3 little kids, and my mom and dad were with us as well. There was plenty of space for all of us, a wonderful little nook for my two older kids to sleep in, and lots of games for us to play on rainy days! Overall I can’t say enough great things about the property and the entire process!
