Pleasantly Surprised

After reading some of the other reviews we were hesitant with this place but we ended up happy with our stay. We had no issues at all and the place was fairly clean and awesome for what we needed. Perfect location was a plus.

The house was nice. Exactly what we expected. The renovation is nice, colors beautiful. The beds were hard and not too comfortable but overall the house worked for ys.

Great Location for Price

Stayed with my family (5 people slept comfortable could fit 3 more). overall experience was good, location was extremely nice. short walk to beach/boardwalk, we used the 7/11 on the corner and the liquor store which was 2 blocks down(a plus). only concerns/negative is the place is a bit abused, could be a bit taken care of more. They did clean the place before we checked in because we smelled the bleach.sheets were changed but found some stains, and bed frames seems a bit unsteady on one bed(we happened to not use that one) however if you only need a place to crash and go back to freshen up, it’s a good spot, we often walked back to the house to use the restroom since the public bathrooms were further down the boardwalk.

Management outstanding- house is not

I will start off with the positive that James, the manager, went above and beyond to handle my complaints. He was very kind and didn't give me any hassle. We chose to not stay and had to book a hotel. The house unfortunately is unlivable in my opinion. The list can go on and on of what is wrong with it. The pictures do not represent what the house currently looks like. Sadly it was disgusting filth. I will say the staff and James were so kind and understanding which made it a smooth transaction of refund since we did not stay. I will also add I did see a cleaning crew in there later that day after our complaint was made. Sadly, I think it would need all new everything, but at least they took annitiative to try and clean the surafce.

Save your money and don’t book

Save your money and don't book here. We brought our 3 toddlers for our first family vacation and I'm so disappointed. Check in time was 4, we couldn't check in till after 430 because of staff issues and they were behind cleaning the house we rented. We got in and the house was FILTHY so not sure what they actually cleaned? And they actually sent someone to inspect it first. Messaged the owner because the front desk was miserable when we checked in. He sent the maintenance man who redid the floors and said he would waive the $50 cleaning fee (still hasn't been refunded) after that the fridge wasn't working, called front desk to be put on hold forever, walked up and they weren't even doing anything. The man came in again to check fridge and said he'd be back in 10 minutes and never did. We actually checked out a day early because it was so disgusting. There's dirt on every surface; walls, microwave, vents, fans, you name it! Cigarette butts all over porch, nails sticking up in the floor that actually cut feet. Music blasting all night, people smoking weed at all times. In a time where they should be taking extra precautions due to COVID i don't think they care at all. Told front desk at checkout she didn't apologize at all just said she'll tell management, never heard from them

Cute home not clean and party area

This house is so cute-3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and full size washer and dryer which was great! Upon checking into the home it was not clean at all. We called the front desk and were told “sorry”. My husband and I went to Walmart to purchase cleaning products and sheets and a blanket. I strongly suggest bringing your own towels sheets blankets and cleaning products. When we checked out the front desk person was extremely apologetic but that’s about it. The area is perfect for a younger crowd as you are right by the boardwalk. The house itself was so cute.

Everything was nice, dishes were clean , beds were clean. The only issue was the freezer did not work and the floors even after being cleaned multiple times were still dirty. But overall my friends and I were very happy and comfortable there for a week .

Great house and supper clean! Looks just like the online pictures. Great house and supper clean! Fresh linens were included too! Conveniently located within walking distance from the OC boardwalk which is less than a ten-minute walk. Very good selection if traveling with the family or a group of kids and on a budget. Pool area is open after Memorial day but there is local indoor pool that the kids can also use off season that's within driving distance. Had a great time!

Safety and Cleanliness Issue with Madison House

We rented the Madison House on the property from 8/30 to September 3. The dining room table had a nail sticking out which promptly cut my child's leg. The couches in the house were filthy. According to Summer (the front desk manager) the steam cleaner was supposed to come 2 weeks ago but cancelled. After walking around the house for 30 minutes our feet were black from the dirt. We ended up mopping the floor ourselves because it was that bad. The dining room table was also sticky and dirty so we cleaned it ourselves. We showered in flip flops because we could not clean the bathtub enough. We also had to clean the a/c vents as they were covered in dust bunnies. I told Summer (the front desk manager) about our concerns and she said she would talk to her manager and come speak to me the next day. She never did. I contacted James (property manager) and his response was that I should have left if if was that bad and why did I not bring it up when I was there. I said I spoke for Summer and she said she would bring it up to him, his suggestion was that I should have tried harder to contact him. Because apparently telling 1 manager isn't enough. I have to spend my vacation chasing managers. When I asked James if he would shower in that tub, his response is that he has never been to the property, even though he is answering the phone at the front desk.

We loved our little beach house. The location was perfect; we loved walking to the beach, boardwalk, and restaurants. The staff was super friendly and were always willing to help or give advice. This was a bonus that you don’t get with normal house rentals because the house was on the grounds of a motel you have all the motels amenities and service. We made many friends from our cute little front porch. The porch in completely closed off, so safe for kids to be on. The inside of the house is so cute and has everything to need for your vacation stay. We had 6 adults and always had room to roam. I would definitely stay again.

Ocean City stay

Pros: Close to beach, seven eleven right around the corner, close to route 50 (shops nearby), close to the amusement park, nice decor, washing machine and dryer in unit, and staff was super friendly! Cons: The place is small but cozy I guess. The place needs a deep clean and a repaint and the couch sinks in with no support and is dirty with stains. Noisy. Not enough cookware or utensils. This cute house is rented out and managed by the motel. It's got cute decor and going to the beach is a 3-5 minute walk away. It would have been nice if the place was just a bit cleaner.. the couches were stained, the corners of the room were dusty, the walls and doors were scuffed and dirty as well. These were just small things we noticed.. for others it might be deal breaker. It was noisy at night. It's on a busy street so there are tons of cars driving by all night and people walking by. The first night was the toughest and then we were so tired that we slept through it. haha! I would consider staying here again.. it's affordable and the cons for us were just small inconveniences. Also a little bit peeved that we were told we could park next to the house only to have the owner's daughter park there.. then we were told we weren't allowed to park there anyway because it was a fire lane. Yet the owner's daughter remained parked there for the rest of the day. Guess she didn't want to move her car for the guests..

Fair for the Price

Pros: -The price is very affordable for Ocean City in general. -The place is cute, has some new updates that give it a more modern touch. -The location is convenient if you're looking for a place to be able to walk to the boardwalk. -Dishes, linens, etc. all provided -You do get two parking spots with the house. -The front desk staff is super friendly. Cons: -Cleanliness - after walking around for 15 mins the bottom of our feet were black, kinda gross. Something a good mopping and vacuuming would be sure to take care of. -The motel surrounding the house seemed a bit sketchy -Kitchen supplies - if you're planning on using the kitchen to cook/bake be prepared with your own stuff. They have a few pots and pans, but there is nothing there to put in the oven. -Wi-Fi, yes there is free wi-fi, however I don't think it quite reaches the house as it should...it was super slow and intermittent. Had a hard time loading any pictures or videos on my phone All in all, it's a fair place for the affordable price.

What a location, this place was right where we wanted to be, and everything was perfect. From the size of the rooms and number of beds, to the newly renovated bathrooms and kitchen area. Our family, small kids and a teenager were able to enjoy. Will be coming back soon

Great vacation bungalow

This house was the perfect place for my family and I to stay during our time in Ocean City. Everything was new and up to date in the house. Also it was very close to the beach which made it extremely easy to walk to the beach and boardwalk every day and there was barely a need to drive anywhere because everything was close by!
