Spacious villa with pool and gardens, close to Sesimbra 40 Km South of Lisbon

The Villa Quinta da Vala, set in a 5 acres private property to which guests have exclusive use, is located in the Parque Nacional da Serra da Arrabida, 5 Km away from beautiful beaches and 5 Km away from Vila Nogueira de Azeitao- a small historic town surrounded by the national park and well known for its vineyards and wine cellars open to the public. Arrabida beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal, and boasts a natural bay with calm waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. the area is also famous for its food so it won't be difficult to find high quality well priced local restaurants as well as top quality ones. Taste the delights of the region from the traditional cheese, deemed to be one of the best in the country, to the Torta de Azeitao, a much sought after local pastry, and the famous Moscatel wine, a sweet wine served as an aperitif. The local specialty is of course a great variety of fresh fish dishes.


House facilities and description: The large well proportioned sitting room is tastefully decorated and overlooks a large patio area with a stunning view over the mountain, ideal for outdoor meals or reading a book in absolute silence. A paradise for children.
Satellite wide screen TV with international channels, Wireless Broadband internet access, iPod sound system, DVD with Surround Sound and a large collection of films to watch are available for guests' enjoyment. The Villa has 5 good sized bedrooms, a sitting room, a dining room and a fully fitted kitchen. There is also a service area with an additional small room and WC. Facing the house, a wide lawn dominates the background. At the end of the path surrounded by vines lies the swimming pool with its own patio area. This is the ideal place to enjoy nature, bird watching and for long walks in unspoiled surroundings, all in close proximity to spectacular beaches.

Boat rental and beaches: The magnificent bay of Portinho de Arrabida, with its clear quiet waters, is ideal for water sports; boat rental can be arranged on request.
The local white sandy beaches are as close as 5 Km and the Arrabida beach is known to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal. With its calm waters, its ideal for swimming and snorkeling.

Scuba diving: Some of the best scuba diving in Portugal can be done from Portinho de Arrabida, a few km away. There is a local scuba diving center where wonderful dives can be organized.

Prices are quoted for up to 8 people. Add €100/week per additional person. Maximum 12 people.
