Dear family, what most surprised me about your review was the drastic change of heart you had after checking out (which was earlier than expected, thus not waiting for my arrival) and the report of the obvious damage I found. You see, charging a guest for damage is always unpleasant, even for the host, especially someone like me who has decorated the house with such passion and carefully researched furniture and furnishings, spending lot of time and money. You acknowledged this in your friendly messages during what, until then, seemed to be the "best holidays of your life" and above all, you, Mrs. Daniela, seem to have forgotten that you fell in love with that house, the magnificent view, the sunset, the garden, etc., etc., because none of this is mentioned in your terrible review. Suddenly only negative memories.... Very strange and, above all, very unfair. That said, I'm certainly not here to gain any advantage from a damage complaint, because fortunately I don't need one, and seeing the armchair (only six years old and used mainly in the summer) in ruins really discouraged me. I also felt cheated, because, you see, damage can happen, but guest have to be honest in reporting it before the host notices. The sofa cover, like the armchair covers, is replaced with each new guest for greater hygiene, certainly not to cover up defects. Hosting is a pleasure for us, and I believe I've shown it with all the necessary courtesy and more. But I just can't stand reading about you taking advantage of guests by charging for "old" items and other falsehoods! We are HONEST people, and I'm truly sorry this situation arose at the end of your wonderful vacation! One last thing: the several kilometers you mention are actually only 1.5 kilometers of paved country road (we're in the hill as indicated in the add and photos, parking too), and I see nothing strange in the garbage truck picking up trash from the residents of the area. Dear "TRUST PILOT Agent," first of all, thank you for calling me "dishonest" (after 3 weeks of friendly text mex) simply because you didn't wait two more days, as specified in my last message and on the website where you booked the house (the refund period for the deposit is 14 days from check-out if no damage is reported, and it's the booking website that retains it, not the host), but you preferred to vent your frustrations by writing falsehoods that fortunately disagree with what our other guests wrote (9,8 EXCELLENT)! What can I say or add? As a Trust Pilot, you should do your research beforehand, reading the detailed description the host includes in the listing (it's classified as a country house, not a villa!, so rustic finishes, not luxury! Have you ever stayed in a mountain cabin? Are the floors and ceilings made of reinforced concrete or wood? It's normal for wood to creak, especially in hot weather because it's drier) and review the extensive photographic documentation, so as not to get false expectations. As indicated, the house is suitable for active people, lovers of trekking and that access is only via stairs that pass along the hiking trail in the woods and therefore since we don't own the entire hill, but only 2000 square meters completely fenced and clearly visible, it's normal that we have other land owners around and if you walk around naked, it's possible that someone could see you..... The house, as indicated on the access sign, for greater security, is under video surveillance ONLY at the entrances, not in the garden or terraces, so don't worry because I didn't see anything! 😅 The mattress is a good 25 cm high and made of foam with a layer of memory, therefore hard???? Is yours perhaps goose down? 🤔 and I don't quite understand how many sheets, bedspreads, and blankets you needed in addition to those you found in the beds, but in this case, you just had to ask me (as you know I'm always reachable)...... As for the toaster, perhaps you didn't look carefully among the quantity of dishes and appliances the house is equipped with (in extra wide cabinet 180cm and 210cm high, more than the kitchen wall units), because you would have found it! Luckily, at least the boiler and air conditioning were to your liking, perhaps because they were Vaillant, a GERMAN BRAND😂?
