This 47-square-meter apartment, last renovated in 2019, is located on the ground floor of the “Windjammer” building on Steinwarder. It features a spacious living and sleeping area with a comfortable double bed (2 × 90 × 200 cm) in the back, a cosy sofa area with a flat-screen TV, and a dining area for four people. From the living room, you can step out onto the south-facing balcony with a view of the inland lake. The open kitchen area is fully equipped for your holiday needs. It includes a coffee maker, a kettle, and a toaster. There is plenty of dishware and silverware. Additionally, an oven and a dishwasher are available for your use. The adjoining children’s room features a bunk bed and is also suitable for teenagers.

The “Windjammer” house is ideally located for a holiday on the north side of the inland lake! The beach is just a few steps away. And overall, the house is a great starting point for everything you might want to do on holiday:
Restaurants, a playground, a skate park, and kiosks are all in the immediate vicinity. A bakery, bike rental, a mini-golf course, and—for the more athletic guests—a fitness centre are also just under 800 metres away. There’s a great hiking trail leading to the cliffs—depending on the season, you might spot Galloway cattle and their calves there.
Our charming old town is about 2 km away—the best way to get there is to stroll along the lakefront promenade right into the heart of the city. With its traditional fishing harbour, numerous shopping options, delicious restaurants, the “Graswarder” nature reserve, the lovely beach, and the longest pier on the coast, our small harbour town has a lot to offer.
You can conveniently park your car in the house’s car park—and feel free to leave it there. In the summer, in addition to the regular buses, the Heiligenhafen “Bimmelbahn” (tourist train) runs, allowing you to quickly get into town or to the harbour, or you can simply rent a bike from the local bike rental shop. This gives you great flexibility. In general, Heiligenhafen is a great starting point for all kinds of bike tours: you can reach Großenbrode in just over an hour—a bit faster on an e-bike—or enjoy the unique view from the Fehmarnsund Bridge and bike straight to Fehmarn.
