The Space:

The apartment is located on the ground floor of a historic Wismar townhouse – one of the city's charming narrow "Handtuchhäuser" – right in the heart of the UNESCO-listed old town. With your own private entrance directly from the street, arriving feels effortless.



The cosy bedroom features a high-quality boxspring double bed and faces the quiet courtyard – ideal for a restful night after exploring the city. The living and dining area offers a pull-out sofa (sleeping option for one additional guest), a Smart TV with Waipu TV, and a dining table for up to three people.



The fully equipped kitchen has everything you need: ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster and filter coffee machine. The modern bathroom comes with a shower, WC, sink and hair dryer. Fast Wi-Fi included throughout.



There is also a charming shared courtyard – with seating areas, benches, tables and chairs, perfect for relaxing outdoors. Bikes can be safely parked there as well.



Guest Access:

The key is in a key box in the entrance hall of Neustadt 35.



1. Go to the main entrance of Neustadt 35.

2. Press the number pad on the door handle until it lights up → enter code 1008 and confirm with #.

3. In the hallway on the left wall: key box "Neustadt 35 EG Ladenwohnung" → code will be sent before arrival.

4. Leave the building through the main entrance.

5. To the left of the main entrance, directly at street level: that is your entrance.

6. Open the door with the key.



The Neighborhood:

Wismar has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2002, together with Stralsund. The apartment is located right in the heart of the historic Neustadt quarter – the Old Harbour is just a ~1-minute walk, and the grand Market Square with its historic Wasserkunst fountain is about 5 minutes away.



Right in the old town: restaurants, cafés, bakeries and small shops. Highlights: Sprotten Hannes (fresh fish at the harbour), Eiscafé Bütow (directly on the waterfront). Weekly markets on the Market Square on Tuesdays and Fridays.



Nearby: St. Nikolai Church, St. Georgen Church, Fürstenhof, Schabbelthaus Museum. Day trips: Poel Island (~25 min), Schwerin Castle (~30 min by train), Baltic Sea coast.



Getting Around:

Wismar is easily reached by car. Free parking at Schiffbauerdamm (~400 m away). Paid parking: Altstadt/Westhafen (~400 m, approx. €4/day).



For unloading, briefly stop in the Neustadt (residential street), then move to an official car park.



Wismar train station (~10 min walk): direct connections to Schwerin (30 min) and onward to Hamburg/Rostock. Local buses serve all parts of the city.
