Charming villa at the foot of the hills and by the sea, located in Marinhas 3 km from Esposende.
Esposende! very pretty little seaside town, with its passadiços (Footbridges) which runs along the sea and leads to the caminhos (path) of St Jaques de Compostelle. that's wonderful.
Costa Verde. Picturesque location, seaside, comfortable villa, balcony, large terrace, barbecue. pergola of vines, where the barbecue is installed, the garden is magnificent, it is a peaceful haven, this villa is relaxing due to its geographical location. Located 30Km from Guimaraes Medieval City where Portugal was born, this region is rich in History and very beautiful, the town of Ponte de Lima medieval city, a marvel! Braga, Porto, the large Barcelos market, the largest in the Pais, the natural park of Gérez, a wonder of nature!

We loved the totally immaculate property and apartment. Lucilla was a pleasure to deal with and was extremely hospitable. The only single issue we had (there were 3 of us) was the beds were not comfortable. It would be 5 review if there had been better beds. A few new mattresses would go a long way. Otherwise a wonderful spot away from the bigger cities.

Lovely area

House was very clean and comfortable. Host was amiable and helpful. Area has decent rock climbing, nice beaches very close by. Porto is only 40-45 min drive away. Close to many sites in northern Portugal. We also found a great favourite restaurant nearby (Restaurant Buraco).

Silent Paradise

A pleasant apartment with everything you need in a small village, 30 minutes from the beach. The apartment has a beautiful balcony with a view of the lovely orchard and the rooftops of Marinhas. On a clear day, you can see the sea.By car, you can reach Esposende in 10 minutes and beautiful beaches within half an hour. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. I would love to come back!

Excellent

We spent two nights in August at this villa and would have liked to stay longer. It's well equipped and very comfortable, and although there were only three of us there is plenty of room for six people. The villa is about a 20 mins walk to the beach if you don't want to drive. Lucilia, our host was there at the same time and made us feel very welcome. Thank you for your hospitality - the confiture was delicious!

Very nice apartment in a quiet residential area. Basically, it's the full first floor - huge. Everything clean, nice furniture and tasteful decoration. A beautiful garden, and very well maintained with lots of flowers.Conversation with the landlord always friendly. Also, nice location of the house, directly on the pilgrimage route from Porto to Santiago de Compostella. Some hikes can be undertaken directly from the house.

Misleading Beachfront Advertising This property was booked through Expedia, with VRBO handling the reservation. The listing clearly stated it was non-refundable and advertised the home as beachfront with direct beach access and easy access to the sand. It also described the location as being in a picturesque village. After booking, the owner sent a separate contract in French with additional terms. Near the end, it stated that the property is not actually on the beach. Upon arrival, we found the property is about 1.5 km from Praia de Rio de Moinhos. Getting to the beach requires a 20–30 minute walk, including crossing the busy N13 road, or a short drive. This does not match what most travelers would consider “beachfront” or “direct access.” The main listing photo prominently shows a sandy beach, reinforcing the impression that the home is directly on or next to the beach. If the owner acknowledges in the contract that it is not beachfront, the listing should reflect that accurately. The “picturesque village” description is also misleading. The home is in a modern residential area of Marinhas, not a traditional village setting. To be fair, the property itself is very nice—clean, spacious, well-equipped, and comfortable for six people. The issue is not the home, but the accuracy of how its location and beach access are advertised.
