We had a fantastic time and it was the perfect getaway for my wife and I. Lopez island is a true gem and this property is at the perfect location, close to multiple trails. Ingrid was very quick to respond and I would come back again, highly recommend it!
We had an excellent stay at this cabin while on Lopez. My husband and I stayed for 4 nights and the cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Ingrid and Bret were very communicative prior to our stay and check-in was easy. Cell service is limited on the island so Iโd saving the check-in info ahead of time so youโre not searching for bars like we were trying to find the entry instructions :)The kitchen is well stocked and we were able to make meals in the kitchen and enjoy them on the beautiful back deck. The bathroom is also nicely updated and has both a shower and bath tub. The cabin was clean when we arrived and the host even left us a bottle of local wine and some coffee. It was just the two of us, but this cabin could accommodate up to 4 people pretty comfortably. Weโd absolutely stay here again on another trip to Lopez!
We love this cabin. It is always such an inviting and comfortable place to spend a peaceful weekend on Lopez. The hot tub was amazing. All needed amenities were provided. Ingrid is always responsive if we have any questions. We were able to relax and enjoy and loved every minute of it.
The home has some great features, including a beautifully updated kitchen, a large deck, and an excellent BBQ. However, there are several things I wish we'd known before booking.A few days before our stay, we were notified that the hot tub (one of the main reasons we booked months in advance) might not be operational. By then, finding another comparable rental on the island wasn't realistic. The only accommodation ultimately offered was waiving the extra guest fee for our child. Unfortunately, the hot tub appeared to have been out of service for some time, as it was not in usable condition. The listing is also described as a two-bedroom home, but it is really one large open space with partial divider walls. Neither sleeping area is fully enclosed or private. The primary bed is visible from much of the living space, and the second sleeping area offers little privacy as well. Our teenage child actually chose to sleep in a tent outside because it provided more privacy. The property was also an active construction site during our stay. To the owner's credit, work ceased while we were there, but it's something prospective guests may want to know. Finally, be aware that exterior security cameras monitor the entrance and the deck. This detail is missing in the description. Overall, nice property if you know what to expect, but I think the listing should more clearly describe the layout, ongoing construction, and available amenities so guests can make an informed decision.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate all feedback and would like to provide some additional context for future guests.
We're glad you enjoyed the updated kitchen, large deck, and BBQ.
Regarding the hot tub, we understand your disappointment. Unfortunately, an unexpected equipment failure occurred just before your arrival. We immediately ordered the necessary replacement part, but once it was installed, a second issue was discovered that required another part. As soon as we became aware of the possibility that the hot tub would not be available, we notified you before your stay and offered to cancel your reservation so you could find alternate accommodations if you preferred. You chose to keep your reservation, and we also waived the additional guest fee as a gesture of goodwill. The repair was completed shortly after your stay.
We also want to clarify the cabin layout. Our listing describes the cabin as an open European-style studio with only the bathroom having a door. It includes one queen bed and two twin beds in the same open living space. We strive to describe the layout accurately so guests know exactly what to expect before booking.
The neighboring cabin under construction is a temporary project. Out of respect for your stay, we stopped all construction activity while you were at the property. We also recently completed a full remodel of this cabin and had not yet adjusted our pricing to reflect those improvements.
Regarding the security cameras, they are exterior cameras only and are used solely for the safety and security of the property. They do not record or monitor the interior of the cabin under any circumstances. They were installed after repeated incidents involving unauthorized visitors entering the property and using the hot tub, leaving it contaminated and unusable for arriving guests despite recent maintenance. The cameras help us protect both the property and the experience of our registered guests. Their presence is disclosed in our listing.
We work hard to provide a great experience, and we're proud that the vast majority of our guests have rated us 10/10. While we're sorry that circumstances beyond our control affected your visit, we appreciate your comments and will continue looking for ways to make our listing even clearer for future guests.
Check in was made very convenient. The cabin is inviting, perfect for a young family or a couple for a relaxing stay in a private area with lovely nature views. Access to kayaking nearby to stunning views

Awesome Getaway, price was good and house was clean. Great place to stay!
We enjoyed the coziness of the cabin, the lovely view from the deck, and the relaxing hot tub. Everything was clean, the kitchen was well equipped, and Ingrid was easy to communicate with. They are in the process of building addition to the cabin, but no construction work was done during our stay. It was very quiet and peaceful the whole time.
This is our fourth time staying at the cabin and we are very pleased, as usual. The hot tub is so nice and the property is perfect for a relaxing weekend for two.
Sweet little cabin on the south end of the island. Easy check-in and quiet location. Perfect for relaxing!

We love this little cabin--it's the two of us and we enjoy doing our own cooking. It's cozy and there are delightful sitting areas both in the sun and on the porch.
This is our fifth stay at the cabin, which I think speaks for itself. We love this property. Hot tub is welcoming, kitchen is equipped for some cooking, and the towel warmers and heated floors in the bathroom are so nice this time of year. Perfect weekend watching bald eagles fly by from the hot tub, watching movies, reading while listening to the rain and venturing into the village.
Nice cabin in a quiet meadow. Beware there is no internet on the island ! Be sure to download driving direcyions and code for lock box prior to your trip. Onlyb phone calls we could make ( with Verizon) were emergency only. We also could never get the tv or dvd player to work.
Ingrid is a phenomenal host! We have stayed here twice and are thrilled with our experience each time. The cabin is spacious, has great amenities (hello, hot tub!), and Ingrid is very communicative, helpful, and friendly. We love our escapes to Lopez Island and the cabin is the perfect home base for hikes and great food. We canโt wait to return!

Thank you for the kind words, I am so happy to share my little piece of heaven! Hope to have you again soon ๐
Cheers! Ingrid
Lovely cabin, pratical and convenient with nice amenities.
Very comfortable beds. It might be a good idea to add blinds or curtains to the three large sets of glass doors to afford a bit more privacy.
As advertised except the pictures show a beautiful leather couch and the actuality is a not so gently worn faded coral fabric. Hot tub was wonderful to return to af
My husband and I and our 11-year-old grandson stayed in this delightful little cabin while we attended a gathering of boaters and bicycled around Lopez Island. We loved the quiet location, the well-appointed living & sleeping spaces, the hot tub, and the blackberry bushes, just ripening in August ๐. I would rent this home again and, in fact, may look to reserve it for a ladies cycling group in the future.
