Where the cabin was secluded with three large bedrooms, the place was dirty, mice droppings and cockroaches. Yuck

Hi Joni, while we take your concerns very seriously, we went to check on these concerns after your stay and could not find these issues. Thanks for your stay.
Accommodations were very nice and very clean. The place provided everything you needed. Beautiful scenery yet so close to everything. A wonderful experience! Tank you!
This is a perfect remote getaway where you want to be away from people but close enough to run to the store in 15 mins for dinner supplies. We rented this cabin while visiting our soldier graduating basic training at Fort Leonard Wood. The cabin was perfect for our 4 adult children and us. All he wanted to do is hang out and relax and this was the perfect place to do that. Great communication, very clean home, fully stocked, WiFi and nothing but space for the kids to play outside or inside. If I’m ever back in this area, we will return to the same place. Thank you for opening up your home for our family to create more memories in.
Probably best cabin we have ever stayed in!! Interior very well laid out: 3 bedrooms, 2 baths. Kitchen and dinette separated from living room. Grounds were awesome, plenty of space for short walks. View across the river to the bluff was especially great at sunset. We saw an armadillo, and two deer. Couldn't be better.
Our family stayed here for our son's graduation from BCT/AIT at Fort Leonard Wood. We brought him back for family day and were able to easily enjoy meals through the day, grilled for dinner, and hung out in the living room. The house is very cozy, has everything you could possibly need, and a great location for FLW. We were very happy here and highly recommend!
Great property. Very clean. Unfortunately there were many torn screens that made it impossible to use the screened porch as we intended.

Hi Jennifer,
Thank you for taking the time to review this property. We would like to apologize about the issues with the screen porch. We have since repaired all of the screens and would love to have you back in the future. Should you make your way back to this area, we would be happy to offer you a discount on your next stay.
Thank you
I have no complaints about this house other than a dog that I believe had been dropped off and scratched both of our vehicles, but that is no fault of the owner. The rooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to make my daughter's requested meal of venison roast with vegetables from our garden. We saw turkeys, deer, rabbits, and even an armadillo! The driveway and landscape reminded my daughter of our home in West Virginia and that made me very happy. I give this place 5 stars.
Perfect unless you need reliable use of technology
The property is fantastic both inside and out. Very clean, superb accommodations, fully stocked kitchen with pots, pans, spices and more. Closer to Fort Leonard Wood than I thought it was going to be. I first booked three hotel rooms at Candlewood on base but then found this property. It was perfect for our family of seven coming to town to see our soldier graduate from basic training and prepare to stay another two months for AIT. Instead of crowding into a hotel room or being in a public place to spend our time both days, we had this beautiful home to relax and visit.
Our soldier requested steak for dinner the second night. There was a wonderful grill to cook the steaks on. It rained most of the time we were there but we still enjoyed the outdoor space from the screen porch and many large windows throughout the house.
I would have easily rated this five stars but the instructions provided in the packet to connect to the internet did not work. At first the property manager was very responsive to text but that fell off. Our soldier was able to get us online but it was not stable at all. Phone reception on the property was not dependable. I called the property management office on my cell phone but could not get a decent connection to request assistance.
This property was everything I wanting in selecting a location to spend the day with my son and our family during Family Day right before his graduation. It is very secluded, yet just minutes from Fort Lenard Wood. Accommodations were very spacious both inside and outside. The side porch is a very relaxing area. There were plenty of linens, pots/pans/bakeware, dishes, and utensils to use without having to buy disposables (paper/plastics). The gas grill worked well and had plenty of propane. My son was beyond excited to be able to “relax” in a “home” environment without the cramped rooms of a hotel. He enjoyed the “family meal” even more so. This is an excellent rental and I will seek it out on any future trips to Fort Leonard Wood.
If I may, I would like to make a couple of suggestions to make the stay even better. First, there weren’t enough drinking glasses. So, I did get some disposable cups. I think if you had a full service of regular glasses that would have made the table setting even more like home. Second, the shower in the master bath has a very slow drain. I was worried it would over flow into the bathroom floor. Fortunately, it did not, but you may want to get that fixed for future stays, because I can only imagine it getting worse and potentially causing problems with the flooring. Third, the grill was really dirty with leftover burnt on food. It took us a while to get it cleaned and prepared for use. I always just turn the grill on high once I’ve finished grilling and allow any remaining food residue to burn off. Lastly, the wifi service is terrible. So bad that we were able to work better with only one bar on our own service than using the wifi. That was frustrating because I could have brought my own portable wifi and it might have been better. Unfortunately, I did not because I made the assumption that having wifi meant having good wifi.
Nevertheless, I was extremely please with this rental, and as I stated before, I will definitely reserve this location again for any future visits to Fort Leonard Wood. Thank you for having it available for our special event.

We hope to have you back in the future!
Sincerely,

Could have been a nice stay minus the dead rodent smell, fruit fly infestation, broken coffee maker, caved in master bed mattress, non-working WiFi and lack of sincere assistance from the property management company to help resolve the issues. Definitely not what I expected from a property with 4.9 stars.
This property was beautiful. The house was immaculate & we had a wonderful stay. We were there to see my son on family day & to attend my his army graduation. When asked what he wanted to do on family day, he said “go to that house you rented & take a nap & not get yelled at.” Hahaha. He loved the screened in porch & the hammock outside. We’ll definitely book again next summer while he’s there for AIT.
We live in a big city. This place is exactly what we needed to escape and relax from our busy schedules. The views are amazing, hearing and seeing the wildlife while sitting in the screen porch was just an experience. We will definitely stay here again when we go on our yearly float trips! Thank you for inviting us into your wonderful space!!
Pulling up, the beauty of the property left me speechless. We stepped inside and could not believe how clean the home was. I have never seen a weekend rental of any type this clean. The kitchen was great. There was just about anything you could ever think you MIGHT need in that kitchen!
I do not have enough great things to say. The three of us are healthcare workers and we needed to get away from the world for a few days. This property is just what the doctor ordered. I am already asking for a refill of this prescription!
What a wonderful place to stay for FLW Graduation!!!
Just perfect for us. We drove in from Florida and Louisiana for family day and graduation. We couldn't have asked for a better location. It wasa great place where we could relax and enjoy our time together. The place was spotless and comfortable. Even with snow and sleet the roads in and out of the house were no problem for our trucks and SUVs. Too bad it wasn't summer we would have enjoyed the outdoor spaces more. Had a brief issue with heat and management was very responsive and got us fixed quickly.
We stayed two nights at this home while in town for basic training graduation. Our soldier was able to leave post and spend a few hours at the house so that we could enjoy a relaxing meal together. The screen porch was perfect for enjoying the summer evening sounds, the kitchen was well stocked with crock pots, good pans, spices and utensils. Everything was great, but we were glad that we had a vehicle with higher clearance to navigate the driveway as some areas were a little washed out.
We had a great time at the cabin. Well-stocked kitchen with plenty of pots, pans, utensils, and some pantry staples (oil, spices, salt, etc.). Nice mowed trails through the woods and a great location. It is relatively secluded but close enough to the town that you can pick up anything you forgot.
