Welcome to Mildred's place ! Our recently refreshed 1.75 acres property is under new ownership!

After 30 years of visiting the island we understand what is important to make for a comfortable stay.

The 5 bedroom, 4 bathroom home includes central air in both buildings and plenty of space to spend time with family

Enjoy the pastoral view with visits from ducks, geese, deer, turkeys, peacocks and other wildlife. Our deck allows for plenty of space to view beautiful sunsets and grill on the Weber grill.

Walk out the front door and book a ride on a horse right next door at rustic rides to Dories cove and ride along the beach. An island favorite attraction. Tell John you are staying with us and you get a $5.00 per person discount!

We are within walking distance to Green Way Trails, Cooneymus Beach, and adjacent to Rustic Rides horseback riding farm.

Our home is located on the west side offering a quieter setting and beautiful star gazing at night while still being 10 minutes from town.

Updates include: Brand new memory foam mattresses, fold out bed, high end appliances

Recently updated kitchen includes New stainless steel french door refrigerator, stainless steel 6 burner professional grade stove and microwave. All new kitchenware, new toaster, coffee makers (drip coffee, keurig, Nespresso espresso machine (pixie model) and french press provided),

Our barn is equipped with a brand new oversized couch to fit your whole family, kitchenette and 75 inch Smart TV with all apps to enjoy your favorite shows and movies after a long day at the beach. The barn offers a perfect space for kids to play + dinners with the family (table seats 15+)

New Starlink WiFi in the house and barn providing reliable internet service!

The main house has 4 bedrooms including a master with cathedral ceilings and two full bathrooms. The barn has two full baths (one with tub) second floor in the barn includes a queen bed, sofa and newly renovated bathroom. Beautiful spa like outdoor shower with rainfall showerhead.

Beautiful location

For anyone considering visiting the island in September. It is a must! Robert and Zhara's home was perfectly located. Spacious for our family and easy to access from the main roads. This home is ideal for any family gathering.

Some disappointment

House was well equipped. It was lovely having ac but this was difficult to regulate. The house is situated next to Rustic Rides and seeing turkeys and horses was fun for the kids. However, the yard was littered with random trash (socks?) and construction debris, making the backyard dangerous. When the grill did not work, the owner was responsive in getting a new one delivered quickly. I never received my security check back and the owner did not respond to my email inquiring about it. Therefore, I felt I had to issue a stop payment on it, costing me $30.

Perfect spot

This was a perfect location for a group! Easy 10 minute drive from the ferry with plenty of space and bedrooms. The property had everything we needed! Towels, sheets, utensils - it was a fully stocked home. The owners were extremely responsive and helpful leading up to and throughout our stay! Thank you for a fabulous weekend.

What makes this property unique

This property is central to everything on the island but nice and far away from the maddening crowds.
Pond in the back, horseback riding next door, Rodman's Hollow a mile away(the best nature walk on the island) and an underused beach at Dories cove that you can call your own.The beach is rocky but swimmable. Coneymus cove is the beach on the other side of our property one mile away and is a favorite spot for nighttime beach fires. You and a known fishing spot. You need a town permit for beach fires. You have to go to the police station for an application
Then there are all the bigger bright spots that everyone knows. Be sure to go to Mansion Beach for the best swimming on the island. happy vacation
