Great place for our family

Clean, comfortable and updated property. Wonderful location for accessing Crystal Lake, Frankfort and everything else the area has to offer. Owned by very nice folks too. Worked out really well for our family of five.

Everything was great!

We enjoyed our week long stay here! Very clean and it was the perfect spot for our family of five. We loved the quiet street, the dock and boat ramp view from the balcony and it had everything we needed. We chose it over other places because of the two bathrooms, the washer and dryer, and view of Crystal Lake. We also enjoyed Sleeping Bear Dunes, the Frankfort Beach, kayaking on Crystal Lake, golfing and downtown Frankfort. It was a great trip!

Quiet and central location to the areas amenities.

We enjoyed our stay at this well appointed home close to Frankfort and Beulah attractions. Ideal as an “overflow” home when you have family and friends nearby like we do. Quiet. Comfortable and close to the lake… with nice views.

Great vacation spot!

We absolutely love Crystal Lake and the area and this house is the perfect location to enjoy it all! The 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms were great for our family and we will definitely be looking for this house again next summer! Everything was as listed and the owner responded quickly to our one question regarding our boat.

Perfect location, nice home

Very nice home just across from lake. Perfectly located right across from a private (shared) dock, and a boat launch. The home was clean (except for a mouse problem) and well equiped with all the needs

It's always difficult to keep mice out of a cottage in the woods. We are sorry to hear that you encountered a problem. We will take care of this right away.

Awesom

Great spot. Close to everything. Beautiful accommodations. Beach a little lacking if you have young kids, but easy enough to get to great public beaches within 5 minutes. Public boat launch literally across the street.

Convenient Location

We enjoyed our stay and host was very responsive to our needs. Internet was very weak and inconsistent as it was being extended from across the street. Would recommended if internet is not needed.

The cottage has a beautiful location on Crystal Lake’s south shore, with wonderful sunrise and sunset views from the spacious balcony. Having two bathrooms, laundry, and reliable Wi-Fi was helpful, and the host was very kind and responsive.Unfortunately, the property was worn, outdated, and not well maintained. There was a strong mold and mildew smell throughout the house, made worse by a plug-in air freshener. The pillows were stained, towels and linens were limited, and only three beach towels were provided. We also arrived to dirty dishes in a dishwasher that did not work properly. The bunk bed was very worn and did not feel safe or sturdy enough for adults or teenagers. We removed one mattress and placed it on the floor. The primary bedroom window would not close, so we could not block out noise from the neighboring rental about 20 feet away. Guests there were noisy until midnight several nights. There is no private dock, only a shared boat buoy. The front door lock was difficult to use, and there was no coffee grinder. The location is excellent, but the cottage needs significant cleaning, maintenance, and updating.

Manya, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are so sorry to hear that your stay did not meet your expectations. We take comments regarding cleanliness, maintenance and overall guest experience seriously, and have reviewed your concerns with our property management and cleaning team. We are continually working to make improvements and ensure the cottage is comfortable, well maintained, and welcoming to our guests. Regarding the shared lake access; there is a shared dock so I'm a bit confused that perhaps you didn't find the correct access area. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention. Kind Regards, Steve and Betsy

Perfect for our Ironman

We were racing IM 70.3 in the area and this property was only 10 minutes away from the main Frankfort strip and extremely close to the water. Not only that, we had a little beach across the street! The beds were super comfy, the kitchen was nice and spacious, and we even used the grill! This property had everything we needed. It was also so relaxing at night because we could hear the crickets around. Perfect for our race, and just an overall great property for a relaxing stay.

Lovely Cottage!

Our stay at the Crystal Lake Cottage/home was very pleasant! Had a tv issue, but got it fixed! Thanks Steve! Only drawback was a little bit of a drive from our friends on opposite side of lake. Alway saw deer on drive home at night! Be alert! Thanks for a nice remote getaway!

Crystal Lake 2025

The site is a good apartment setting with room for up to 4 adults. The master bedroom was very comfortable with attached bathroom. A minor note, the bottom sheet on the King bed did not fit.Adequate ventilation with appropriate fans. When entering, my wife noticed a musty/moldy odor on bottom level.Kitchen and laundry very adequate; however, no detergents available. Also, ants very noticeable on kitchen counters.TV in main room somewhat difficult to operate. One of the owners welcomed us and was very courteous and friendly. He told us to contact them if needed. Otherwise, they honored our privacy.Entry and checkout very easy.We enjoyed our stay.

We had a very nice time visiting Frankfort. The cottage provided fine accommodations.

The location for the cottage was excellent. The price was also a good value for the area. Betsy was great to work with. Only negative was there is no AC. Usually not a problem for norther MI but if you get some unlucky humidity or 90 degree days it gets a little uncomfortable at night.
