Looking for an off the grid experience? Or maybe detox, unplug, unwind from your daily grind? Stay in this unique property while visiting Historic Nauvoo or maybe just a romantic weekend getaway. This treehouse sits on 10 acres of private property 8 miles from Nauvoo perfect for those looking for a quiet, secluded, unique semi-primitive stay. This one room treehouse features a cozy living area with large leather couch, small half bath with hot water sink and composting toilet. The treehouse is climate controlled with heat in the winter and A/C for those hot summer months! Use the unique outdoor shower with hot running water! (Note: DEC - MAR winter months the hot running water may be shut off due to the cold weather, bottled water is provided for washing up, brushing teeth, etc. Please keep this in mind when considering your stay) The wrap around deck for views of the surrounding forest! This property sleeps 2 comfortably with a queen mattress in the loft, and maybe a family of 4 with the sleeper sofa and room for sleeping on the floor! This treehouse features a mini refrigerator, BBQ gas grill, microwave, coffee maker, BluRay player and 32" flat screen TV. Pets are welcome there is a $30 pet fee.

Very rustic including the awesome outdoor shower. But had ac so that was a bonus. The balcony was a joy to sit on and enjoy the breeze. The host Bob was very helpful and his dog Paris was a bonus visitor. The goats were fun to visit as well. I will go back and check out another treehouse cabin soon!

The 'Whitetail' was cozy comfortable. If you're needing peace and quiet, this is the perfect place.The owners dogs were a nice treat, as I lost my fur baby not too long ago and they spent alot of time visiting me. Will definitely come back!

It was a rustic experience for sure. The walk uphill from the car was ok with the wagon. I had flip flops on and was fine, walking down the hill in flip flops was slippery at times. The space was a cozy size that was perfectly ok with us. The porch rocker was awesome to enjoy nature. The outdoor shower was my first experience with one and I was grateful for the hot water and the space was nice and big. There were cob webs and I am allergic to both dust and dog hair so I had a reaction to both in the cabin. I dont necessarily blame the owner for this part because accepting pets and it being in the woods, I expected that. The comforter could use an upgrade as it was very scratchy. We both were able to sleep past 8am so that made the trip worth it as we were there to relax and unwind. I loved the eco friendliness of the place. I had never used a composting toilet but it was both interesting and not a problem for us at all. Lovely weekend getaway. Thank you for sharing your property with us.

A cute little cabin. The inside “fireplace “ heater worked wonderful. The outside shower was a new experience but was great. If you visit in colder months make sure to hurry in the shower because the hot water will run out. We visited early April. The ladder to the loft was a bit difficult for us (being a couple in our 50’s). I suggested bringing only what you need for your time in the cabin because it is kind of a difficult walk up to the cabin- especially if it’s rained. They do have wagons to haul your items up but that was a bit difficult as well. We had a fire in the fire pit and cooked food on the provided grill. It was a great night getaway.

Great Weekend!!

It was such a fun experience! We loved exploring the property, meeting the resident animals and visiting with the owner. We arrived when it was dark- the entrance was majestic and our six year old couldn't wait to get up in the morning to see the surroundings.

Memorial day weekend

Have a great time check out granddaughter. She had a good time with the host dog. The dog stayed with us the whole weekend. The lighting duo of the tim acres looked pretty definitely we'll go again
