About this property
Wow! Right on the Intracoastal Waterway + Boat Dock - Direct Waterfront Property
BEST LOCATION SEBASTIAN HAS TO OFFER DIRECTLY ON THE INDIAN RIVER!!! Improve your outlook on your next vacation! Tired of the hassle of trailing and then launching your boat EVERY TIME you want to go fishing? Then spend a weekend, a week or more at our vacation home and relax! Just walk out to your boat, hop in and take off! We are located directly on the west shore of the Indian River intracoastal waterway across from Sebastian Inlet, a world renown saltwater fishing destination!
In coming to Sebastian, choose wisely. You want to be where the inlet is for quick access to the ocean. Our house is just 2 miles south of the Inlet and 1/8 mile south of the City boat ramp.
No boat? No worries!! There's plenty to do or not do. Just relax in the shade on our dock and do some fishing. Catch snook, redfish, trout, and much more in the grass flats right off the end of the dock!
Not a fisherman? No problem there either! You can sit on our porch or lay in the hammock just steps from the Waterway where you can enjoy the river breeze and observe such wildlife as dolphins, manatees, osprey, bald eagles, cranes, pelicans and much more or just watch the never ending parade of boats go by. Take a trip to Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge. The Sebastian Inlet has some of the best surfing in Florida. Swim, snorkel or sun on our unspoiled natural beaches. No high rises here!
Enjoy a spectacular morning sunrise on the Indian River from the foot of your bed or right on our back porch! From our home, you won't see any roads with traffic, concrete high rises, bridges or other unnatural structures to spoil the view. Just water, wildlife and natural Florida fauna. In addition, make sure your vacation home choice does not have you driving everywhere. All of the river front restaurants and parks are within walking distance. There's a pet park, City park, free kids water park, public boat ramp and 2 City fishing piers just steps outside our front door. The City park hosts arts and crafts shows many weekends throughout the year.
For July 4th, it just doesn't get any better than our location. July 4th festivities include a parade down Indian River Drive (same street the house is on), art and craft show in the Park and fireworks at night on the island DIRECTLY across from our dock! The view is absolutely incredible! People drive for miles to see what is just outside our door.
Want to jog, walk or bike with a view of the water? Then enjoy our 4 mile Riverwalk. This walk takes you along Indian River Drive and the entire river front of the City proper. Riverwalk park also has free Friday night concerts in the park the first six months of the year. We love to grab a lawn chair, head on over and relax with a wonderful evening of music. Of course, there's the Sebastian Inlet with it's unspoiled beaches and State parks which is a short drive or boat ride away. No concrete jungle here, just fabulous Florida as it used to be. So bring the entire family. Pets are welcome too!
The house itself has plenty of amenities. We have 3 large flat screen TV's, DVDs, internet, Sealy mattresses in every room, state of the art kitchen, free laundry room, full array of board games and much more! You won't find a cleaner more comfortable place! We know you will enjoy our home and the City of Sebastian as much as we do. It truly is one of a kind! Reserve your time now!
From Sebastian Chamber of Commerce:
Welcome to the Sebastian River Area, one of Florida's authentic Treasure Coast communities on the Indian River Lagoon and home to America's first National Wildlife Refuge, Pelican Island. The Sebastian River Area is located on the central east coast of Florida and is situated in the northernmost part of Indian River County about 15 miles north of Vero Beach and 20 miles south of Melbourne. The area is well known for the rare antiquities that have washed upon its shores. Treasure hunters continue to search our beaches for gold, jewelry, and other artifacts lost in history. Sebastian Inlet State Park is the premier saltwater fishing spot on Florida's east coast; favored by anglers for catching snook, redfish, bluefish, and Spanish mackerel from its jetties. Surfing is also a popular recreation and several major competitions are held here every year. The Indian River Lagoon National Scenic Byway, a nationally designated byway runs through the Sebastian River Area. The Indian River Lagoon, which is North America's most biologically diverse estuary, the St. Sebastian River, Blue Cypress Lake, and the Stick Marsh are fishing hotspots and a boater's paradise. Sebastian hosts one of the most spectacular skydiving views in the world.

About the host
Hosted by Matt and Meg

Matt & Meg and their three young sons have strong ties to the Sebastian area. Meg grew up in Sebastian and graduated from Sebastian River High School.
Why they chose this property
Although work has brought us far away from Florida over the years. Meg has always wanted a second home in Sebastian to expose our boys to Florida life!
What makes this property unique
This home is such a perfect balance of 'old florida' charm and beauty + perfect location in Sebastian for walking to all the 'hot spots' + updated, convenient home layout and furnishings which are very family friendly. Not to mention... quick drive to the beach, and an easy day trip to the Disney/Universal parks.
