Welcome to North Fork Cabin Rental's Deer Run!

(Cabin will be closed for the winter January 5-March 15, 2026)

We are family owned cabins nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains. our cabins are less than one hour driving distance from attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Crabtree Falls, Montebello Fish Hatchery, Oak Ridge Estate (Infinity Downs/Lockn'), Wintergreen Ski Resort, Rockfish Valley Restaurants, Wineries and Breweries, Walton's Mountain Museum, and the Appalachian Trail. We are also within an hours time of Lexington, Lynchburg, Charlottesville, Staunton, and Waynesboro, Virginia. All cabins are modernly equipped and ready for your stay. Bedrooms: 1 Queen Bed in main bedroom, and 1 Full Futon in living room.1 full bed on lower level. There are spiral stairs to lower level also there is a outside entrance if one would prefer.

We had an amazing stay at this cozy cabin! Nestled in the woods, it offered a great escape. The cabin was impeccably clean. The views from the deck were beautiful. The host was welcoming and easy to contact and communicate with during the booking process and throughout our stay. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway.

This is a gem of a cabin that we really enjoyed on our short family trip. The listing really undersells that great stream that is adjacent to the cabin. Several really nice swimming holes and lots of fun walking up and down the creek looking for critters. It was hard to keep my son on land! A great place that we will visit again!

Exactly as expected and listed. Very cozy and clean. We felt very comfortable with our stay. I couldn’t be happier with how closely this is located to so much excellent hiking. Super close to the Crabtree Falls parking area, the Appalachian Trail intersection with 56, the Blue Ridge Parkway, The Priest Wilderness, Three Ridges Wilderness, and so much more. I’d definitely choose to stay here again when coming back to the area.

My husband and I had stayed at this property last year for our anniversary and it was such a lovely place with a comfortable bed, there was no question about where we would go this year. Fun drive on a curvy, winding, dirt road through scenic surroundings. EXTREMELY clean, VERY quiet, with comfortable furniture, this property even has a full- size washer and dryer. The upstairs had everything we needed so we didn't even explore the downstairs which could be accessed either from the ground floor landing or by the gorgeous wrought-iron spiral staircase that is blocked off on the upper level with a gate so little people stay safe. We're looking forward to staying during the winter if the property is open (I haven't looked into the availability yet) and also for our 40th anniversary next August. HIGHLY recommend treating yourselves to a relaxing stay among beautiful surroundings with a walkwaythat leads to a calming stream. Speaking of calming, be sure to relax on the deck with your morning coffee or evening beverage. Oh, I can't forget about the most comfortable futon that I was able to stretch out on as I read while waiting for my husband to wake up. Go ahead and treat yourself, it's most definitely worth being off the beatn path.

My sister, husband, and I love Deer Run! It is so peaceful and comfortable . Fall is the perfect time to get away to the Crabtree area. The leaves were gorgeous and we enjoyed nightly outdoor fires with our friends at Hawks View.We will definitely be back!

Great Stay!

The cabin was perfect for our family! Our kids loved playing in the river, which is a small walk from the cabin. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived and check in was a breeze.

It was a very clean and comfortable place to stay, in a beautiful setting along the Tyre River. The owners were very helpful and accommodating. Perfect Getaway
