Relax with the whole family at this peaceful cottage nestled in the heart of the blue ridge mountains. Short distance to Wintergreen Ski Resort, Shenandoah National Park, Blue Ridge Parkway, Skyline Drive, and the Appalachian Trail. The cottage is conveniently located in the middle of Rt 151 aka Alcohol Alley. Less than a 5 minute drive to Bold Rock Cider, Devils Backbone Brewing, Three Notch’d Brewing, and Blue Toad Cider as well as numerous other local eateries and breweries.
The space As you pull into the driveway you are welcomed by a stunning front porch where you can soak in the great views. After entering the cottage you will find a laundry room and full bathroom stocked with everything you may need. Across the hall is where the master bedroom is located. Continue down the hallway where the room opens up to the full kitchen. Off of the kitchen the open concept dining room and living room will make you feel right at home. Upstairs in the loft area you will find a queen bed, twin bed, half bath, makeup vanity, and a sitting area to relax in. Finish off your evening with a campfire, making s’mores, staring up at the stars, and taking in the serenity of the mountains.
Guest access Self Check in and you will have access to the entire property.
Other things to note The driveway is paved but is rough and steep in some areas. Would recommend a vehicle that sits a little higher or even an AWD vehicle in the winter.

Beautiful home! Our host had it set up with little treats and everything you would need for a perfect stay. Thank you for being a part of our wonderful weekend!!
The host was extremely nice and kept in touch. The cabin itself was just adorable and had everything we needed to have a great stay. I would definitely like to come back here again and I’ve also recommended it to friends and family.
Absolutely loved our stay at Spruce Creek Retreat! The house was sparkling clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a great few days. We'll definitely be looking to book here again!
Great location! Close to breweries, wineries, and of course Wintergreen. Cabin was very clean and nicely furnished. Views from the front porch were lovely. Felt very secluded. We would definitely stay there again. Host was very communicative.
While I didn’t stay for skiing, I stayed here for proximity to notable hiking trails which were very close to the property, which was also near to Wintergreen. The location was perfect for privacy, with plenty of amenities to stay on site and enjoy ourselves when you return from the hills. This was a clean, cozy space which had a lot of charm. We would gladly re-book the place were we to return to the area.
Beautiful view. Great host! He covers everything to ensure a pleasant stay. We will be back nect year more than likely. Everything was very clean. Nice to have coffee supplied. We enjoyed the visit.John and Mark from Virginia Beach

Thanks Kevin, we are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you come back to stay again!
Nice property and very private. The host provided all of the necessities (bedding, towels, and most toiletries) and some snacks. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck in the mornings and watching the local wildlife. I was a very relaxing and peaceful trip.
Excellent cozy cabin to relax in after a day at Wintergreen. Cabin is very clean and conveniently located to breweries and Wintergreen. We truly enjoyed our stay!
Our stay here was wonderful! The house is just as listed and the beds are so comfortable. We really enjoyed having coffee on the porch every morning listening to the birds and the creek, and we had a few fires in the pit at night. Location is amazing, so close to great hikes and wineries/breweries. Daniel was super responsive and helpful. I highly recommend the stay here!
We had a great stay. The house was cozy and secluded, but still extremely convenient to hiking, shops, wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries. We loved sitting outside by the fire pit.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We are thrilled to hear that you had a great stay and enjoyed the cozy, secluded atmosphere of the house. It’s fantastic to know that you found it convenient to explore the nearby hiking trails, shops, wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries. Sitting outside by the fire pit is one of our favorite features too, and we’re glad you loved it.
We hope to welcome you back for another stay soon!
This was our second stay at Spruce Creek and we had a wonderful weekend! The great aspect of Spruce Creek is that it's remote, and also close to a lot of cool places. We recently discovered the "Merlin" bird call app and were amazed at the wide variety of birds we were hearing! [Cooks Note, I cooked every breakfast and supper there, bring any spice you might need, and bring a vegetable peeler].
My husband and I had such a relaxing stay. It was super clean and comfortable. We enjoyed relaxing by the fire pit and on the back porch during the evening, and visited the breweries during the day. Perfect stay, we will definitely be back for another getaway!

Sheri was a great guest! Left the place very clean and followed all house rules. I would definitely host Sheri again and would recommend her to any other hosts!
This was a great place to stay and enjoy Nelson County! Very clean and well equipped! Only caution is that the stovetop cooks super hot, so keep it much lower than you think you need to.
Daniel was very responsive and the rental process smooth!
