Renovated 2 bedroom/2 bath beach cottage located in Fort Morgan. Beautiful gulf front screened porch runs full length of house. Nature preserve located next door and gives miles of undevelopable beach in that direction. Quiet and secluded spot, perfect for relaxation. The cottage has been completely updated but retains the old world charm of its 1949 build date.
If you are anything like us, you will live on the screened porch. There isn't a better place to unwind!

The house is very nice with all the amenities you need. we spent most of our time on the back porch, which is screened in and very comfortably furnished. The location is very unique. It is inside the nature preserve, and they’re only a few houses nearby. There are not many people around, which was nice. The house is right on the beach, and only about 50 feet from the water, which is very convenient. Our dogs enjoyed walking on the beach and playing in the water. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Exceptional accommodations that made this stay feel like a home away from home! Think Nantucket vibes but on the Alabama gulf coast- AMAZING! From the history of the cottage, location (unobstructed beachfront views), pet-friendly, and well-appointed, clean atmosphere- this was by far the best place we have stayed! Perfect for our family of 4 and one small chiweenie! The host was very responsive and easy to work with! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back in the future!

Location is great, aware from the main touristy areas. There is a public beach access nearby, so there are still folks around, but this house is right on the beach. Communication was good with the owner, and access was quick and easy. If you truly want a place to un-plug and relax away from the hustle and bustle, this is it.

A must stay in the Gulf Shore!

Aunt Patties, quickly became one of our new favorite places! This amazing beach front, is clean, well kept, a great location right on the beach, and so much more! They are thought of all the little details to make this stay a true home away from home. We highly recommend Aunt Patties, thank you for a wonderful stay! We cannot wait to come back again soon!

Perfect Getaway

My family had another amazing stay at Aunt Pattie’s Cottage. From the ease of check-in to the beautiful property and location, there is nothing I can suggest for improvement. My family and I adore the beach house, beach, hosts and all the wonderful touches. It is a wonderful getaway for all ages. Our entire family looks forward to Aunt Pattie’s each summer we’re able to go!

35th Wedding Anniversary

Celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary at this cottage which was amazing. To find a near private cottage right on the beach with these amenities is truly rare and exceptional. We’ll be back for sure!

Perfect relaxing getaway!

I came and stayed with my two dogs for a solo getaway long weekend. It was perfect! Very peaceful secluded area surrounded by a beautiful nature preserve. The cottage is perfect and well-decorated. The screened in porch is perfect for all times of day. Looking forward to my next stay!

Beautiful and comfortable beach cottage situated right on the beach with stunning views onto the gulf - I could have sat on the porch forever listening to the waves wash up onto the beach - so tranquil and peaceful :-)

We didn't want to leave!

This property is extremely special! It feels private and nurturing with the beach directly in front of the property. We enjoyed coffee overlooking the ocean and beautiful walks on the beach. The host is just as exceptional as the property. You can tell that they enjoy sharing this special home with others. We will definitely stay here again!

The beach house was absolutely perfect. We loved the history provided, the rustic and homey decor with a few modern luxuries thrown in. The screened in porch was my favorite part of it. I spent a lot of time out there reading and watching/listening to the waves. The beachfront views are amazing! Loved watching the dolphins and pelicans daily. Its the perfect place to relax and enjoy a lazy beach life. I would give it 10 stars, if I could! I only have one con. And not huge. But be aware the public beach access is right next to the house. The only problem with that is for some reason, fisherman with carts wont come off the walkway and go to the left where there is probably two miles of open beach with no houses. They go to the right and set up fishing camp right in front of this beach house....every day! Yes, we realize that area is open to anyone, but if you have all that open beach area, why pick a house that is probably rented out to set up your fishing camp? We just didn't understand that thought process. Seemed thoughtless. So if you want to utilize the beach right in front of the house you paid good money to rent, we suggest go out before the sun rises and set up your own little camp with your beach chairs, drink holders, etc to claim it. Unfortunately, we didn't think of that until our last morning. Lol!! And maybe this was just a bad week for that happening and doesn't happen all the time. Who knows. GREAT HOUSE THOUGH!! Loved it!! :)

Best Beach House!

We had such a wonderful time! This beach house is so adorable! Think Magnolia meets Gulf Shores. Plus, it is super clean. I’m the kind of weirdo that brings her own sheets to places and wears socks everywhere. Not at this place. I felt right at home. The beach is beautiful and perfect for kids. We found amazing shells, loved walking over to the sand bars, saw dolphins playing, and loved seeing the crabs. This was truly an amazing vacation!

Worth the wait!

We have wanted to vacation here at Aunt Pattie's Cottage for nearly 3 years and finally made the reservation last year for this past April. It was everything we had hoped for and much much more. The owners are certainly experts in hospitality and everything was perfect. The sunrises and sunsets, watching the fishermen, the ability to bring our Golden Retriever with us all made this house like it was our home for the week. Can not wait to book again. Fair exceeded our high expectations.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Aunt Pattie’s Cottage exceeded our expectations! Couldn’t ask for more. The cottage has everything thing you need, just add food, clothing, beach stuff, and yourselves. We spent most of our cottage time on the screened porch, but every room is great! The beach was perfect and at times we had it all to ourselves. If you can find an open date to secure Aunt Pattie’s, get it. You won’t be disappointed! GOD led us to find it and we pray another opportunity opens up again.

Where to begin? The location is unique. My husband and I took a walk every morning through the nature reserve - finishing along the beach to the cottage. So very beautiful and lots to take in. The home is beautifully appointed and cozy, intimate and comfortable. The kitchen. The linens. The toiletries. The gift basket. The porch is unequalled.The host is attentive, responsive and funny. Multiple windows in every room let in light and the views. 10+! There's a reason it is booked many months in advance. Highly recommend and look forward to returning.

Being directly on the most naturally breathtaking beach sets the mood! When you walk into the cottage,it has the ability to affect you both emotionally and intellectually. That is the effect of excellent interior design. This timeless beach house feels much like you are walking into a Rallph Lauren ad! Comfort,style, and beauty abound... I have been fortunate enough to stay here during the last two summers.🙏🏻 The weather has been wonderfully warm, one day of “stormy weather “ for an hour or so,and then back to sunbathing and grilling the best fish from the neighborhood fish monger. Cocktails at sunset and sunrise on the deck with a cup of Java . Life could be a dream...!

Everything about Pattie’s Cottage and the host was perfect! Gantt was so great with work with. We chose the cottage specifically for the location right on the beach and it did not disappoint. The screened in porch was a bonus we didn't know we needed. The sunrises and sunsets are better than any picture you can imagine. The beach, while accessible to the public, felt private because there were few people other than ourselves. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and will definitely make another trip in the future. We would 100% recommend Pattie’s Cottage to anyone looking for a place to truly relax and reset. Thank you Gantt, for allowing us to share your special place.
