The Old Nest has been in our family for over 100 years and we welcome our guests to share in our piece of heaven. When staying at The Old Nest, you have access to several nature trails on a private 9-acre estate as well as the convenience of being close to town and the Kelleys Island Ferry.

Our family had a wonderful stay! The house is beautiful, and everything we needed was provided. Gorgeous lake view! Much of our quality time was spent on the big front porch talking and laughing. Highly recommend!

This was our second year staying at The Old Nest. We ABSOLUTELY LOVE the home: its history, its charm, its location and the stunning water view!!! Amanda is so accommodating and is excellent with communication. There was a very bad storm the day and night before we came and Amanda was very prompt with assuring us that our trip was still a go. She sent messages regarding storm related work on the street and gave us information to re-route us if needed. Our young grandchildren loved having picnics on the porch, water games in the yard, playing duck-duck goose in the grass and making s’mores in the fire pit down by the lake. The adult kids spent every evening in the “parlor” playing games, laughing and enjoying the atmosphere and warmth of the home. The best part of the trip was having Amanda’s father (the owner of the property) drop by to cut the grass on his tractor. (They did ask 1st if it was OK for him to do so!) Such a kind man with a gentle smile and interest in the children. They really enjoyed being able to watch him drive the tractor!!! Getting a peak into the family that owns and lovingly cares the home was a real treat!!! Thanks for another year of allowing us privilege to build memories at The Old Nest

Hello. Thank you for choosing the Old Nest rental. The bed pillows are expensive feather down pillows and the covers are changed each season. The sheets are changed each season as well. We have been doing this for years and are quite aware of the requirements needed to ensure a quality stay.
