About this property
Cool cozy little cabin, with a great view!
Welcome to the Ozarks! The 'Pine Knot' cabin is located between Kyles Landing and Steel Creek- the Buffalo River access points. It overlooks the western bluff of the most popular rock climbing destinations and full service guest ranch in the Midwest- Horseshoe Canyon Ranch. Its proximity to the Ranch and the Buffalo National River make this the perfect place to hike, climb, float, and enjoy all the beauty of Newton County, AR. Jasper and Ponca have Buffalo River concessionaires that rent rafts, canoes and Kayaks. This cabin has all the comforts of home. It sleeps 4 with a queen bed and two twins in the loft. Our cabin is fully furnished with linens, towels, and bedding. A washer and dryer has been added for your convenience. The kitchen has everything you need: refrigerator with ice maker, range and stove, dishwasher, microwave, blender, and coffee pot. The kitchen is equipped- just bring your groceries and an adventuresome attitude. There is a propane grill off the back deck with a great view while grilling. Pine Knot features a dining room table that seats four. For your convenience this cabin also offers Roku, local phone service, and WIFI. Check out the Zip line and adventure packages at Horseshoe or enjoy some other great Newton county excursion and then come back to your cabin, snuggle in, soak in the view and sort out the day.
Jasper is the County seat with a few good places to eat, fuel, and a small supermarket. The Pine Knot cabin is close to the Buffalo National River, the first designated national waterway and thousands of acres of National Forest land. Hiking, canoeing, kayaking, photography, wild-life viewing and leisure activities abound. The Elk center at Ponca and the wildlife museum in Jasper are great rest day activities and something else to see when your legs need a break. Historical sites that tell the story of early settlers to the region are within quick driving range.
Whether you are hiking Indian creek, floating the Buffalo, exploring the beauty of the Ozarks or Rock Climbing and Zip lining at Horseshoe Canyon Ranch, Pine Knot provides clean and comfortable housing for your stay and is centrally located to all the activities Newton County has to offer.
