Well Equipped, Fantastic location
We took our 4 year old to Avoriaz for her first ever snow holiday (and our first in 5 years!). The accomodation is very centrally located. Christian and his wife were very welcoming and prior to our arrival, most helpful via email.
The accomodation is a typically compact apartment, but very well equipped and very cosy. Our party was 3 adults and 1 child and we found the space to be adequate. The balcony looks out over a few pistes and lifts at the rear of the building, with a lovely balcony that got the sun in the late afternoon/early evening. We also saw some lovely sunsets from here. The building is at the top of the main street of restaurants and shops, with less than a 5 minute walk to the supermarket and the middle of the main shopping area. The beds were comfy. I'd maybe have preferred a slightly more comfier sofa, but as this pulls out to a bed, it was what you'd expect.
Avoriaz is a great resort for families, and even though our daughter didn't go to ski school or lessons, we found it easy to alternate slope time and find other activities to do. Aquariaz is great for kids and we found ourselves visitng here twice during our stay. I also thoroughly recommend the takeaway XXL pizzas from the boulangerie. Huge and very tasty! Another tip - if travelling with young children, hire a sledge from Christian's shop when you pick up the keys. It saved little legs from getting tired, and was handy for pulling bags of shopping back up the hill to the apartment.
Already considering booking again for next year.
