Wonderful, peaceful stay on the river. House is very well-equipped, with everything needed for a carefree trip. Kitchen had good supply of cookware, dishes, etc. Area is quiet.
Second time there for my group. I mentioned last year some more light on the deck would be a plus . Very difficult to use the bbq in the dark. Also some television instructions would help. Great spot though , it was great!
What a nice house! Thoughtfully appointed, tastefully decorated. Guests, be aware that this stretch of the river is wild and unimproved, although the view from the house is nice. Enjoy the river at one of the many parks, waysides and boat ramps in the area. Because we arrived early, we met the housekeeping staff who were gracious, friendly and helpful, and the home was spotless. NOTE TO OWNER: The recliner chair was a chief reason we reserved with you, so thank you for making our stay so comfortable.
Beautiful and comfortable. Sitting on the deck is so relaxing. We saw deer everyday. Great fishing close to the house. Check out Griffin Park. Pet friendly. Check-in and out was easy. The host is very friendly.
We had such a wonderful time staying at the River House! It was perfect for our group and was well equipped for everything we needed. It was clean and comfortable, giving us a perfect place to retreat after spending time seeing the sights around Southern Oregon. Sarah and Stephen were great to communicate with, too. Thank you—we would love to stay again!
Beautiful home with everything you need to entertain your whole family. They thought of everything. Very convenient home away from home. Gorgeous property with plenty to keep all ages busy.
The stay was exactly as we envisioned. We were able to relax next to a scenic river or enjoy family time around the campfire. The rooms and amenities met every one of our needs. The family is already discussing a future trip to this property.
This house was so spacious and well laid out and just a fun and memorable place to spend vacation time. The house was incredibly clean and well cared for. We enjoyed the riverfront and some fly-fishing, although didn't catch anything on this trip.
Sarah and Stephen have a wonderful place. They were easy to contact and made checking in and out super easy. The house was well stocked and clean! Can’t wait to go back!
Sarah and Stephen were wonderful host, giving us tips on things to see in the area, always responsive and accommodating. The house and location were outstanding as well. We have never stayed in a vaction rental that was this nicely equipped. We loved the house and location!
Our stay at The River House was so much more than we expected. The house was impeccable and stocked with every amenity possible. One evening we were wanting to BBQ and the propane tanks were empty. We called Sarah and within 20 minutes we had a new propane tank for the BBQ grill. She responded to other inquiries, and we so appreciated her looking out for us. We were concerned about the walk to the river, but Sarah explained how nature made the paths and they could not be changed. I would highly recommend you booking this location - it is about 10 minutes from Merlin and 20 minutes from Grants Pass where there are amazing shopping boutiques and restaurants. Sarah and Stephen, thank you being such considerate hosts.Gary and Tammy V
The stay at the river house is an exceptional experience. We truly loved the views, access to the river, fully stocked kitchen, and the thought hosts have put in to set this place up. The place was extremely clean, and perfectly set up for families with young children. We highly recommend this beautiful place and hope to be back soon!
