Chalet Charbray was completed in 2012 in the family-oriented resort of La Tzoumaz in the heart of the 4 Vallées in Switzerland. This two-story chalet with a mezzanine, large balconies and terrace has stunning views of the alps, and its privileged position next to a forest provides absolute tranquility and privacy. During the winter ski season, Chalet Charbray is a few minutes’ drive from the La Tzoumaz ski lift which is part of the world renowned Verbier ski area. In the summer months, beautiful hiking and mountain biking trails are at your fingertips.

The chalet has 4 bedrooms and comfortably sleeps 10 people. Two bedrooms have luxuriously appointed en suite bathrooms, one room has 2 bunk beds (for a total of 4 people), and the last guest room has a double bed which can be made up as one or as two beds. The bunk bed room and last guest room share a large, well-appointed full bathroom. Direct access to the terrace, featuring a HotSprings Spa hot tub for 5 people, is possible through two of the bedrooms. A sauna with separate shower awaits sports and relaxation enthusiasts alike.

In the middle of the spacious living and dining room area is a 3-sided glass-protected chimney and fireplace which provides an elegant yet cosy ambiance. Large (3-meter/9-foot long) windows and sliding glass doors open onto the wrap-around balcony, providing stunning views from any vantage point. The charming mezzanine with an additional reading, seating and television-viewing area overlooks the living and dining room area and offers a gorgeous view of its own.

The state-of-the-art, fully stocked kitchen overlooks the dining room area, separated by a glass and wood bar with seating. Double refrigerators, two full-size Zug ovens, plate-warming drawer, 5-plate Siemens induction cooking surface and Zug dishwasher make cooking for 10 a pleasure.

The chalet has Wifi, 3 televisions, a ski storage room (with toboggans for your use), washer (10 kg/22 lbs), dryer (8 kg/17.6 lbs), and plenty of cupboards and storage space for your clothes and luggage. We recommend that you arrive by car. Access to the chalet is just a few steps from our private parking spots, for easy loading and unloading of people, luggage and equipment.

Excellent chalet

Excellent chalet. Everything great. Only thing is that the house is some way from the centre so you will need a car. There is a nice walk to the town through the woods though it is quite steep so may not suit all. We kept our ski gear in a locker near the télécabine which I would advise. But overall a great place!

Le chalet est très agréable, extrêmement bien équipé et absolument nickel. Le seul (petit) point noir: être obligé de prendre la voiture pour aller skier, pas très pratique avec beaucoup d’enfants dont certains jeunes et non autonomes.

Magical stay at the beautiful Chalet Charbray!

Each day spent over our two week stay was truly magical; whether it being able to work remotely and enjoy the views on conference calls, cook dinner in the professionally appointed kitchen, simply relax in front of the fireplace, or treat ourselves to a dip in the jacuzzi or sauna. Walking into the chalet, one instantly feels that this is a well cared-for home and the level of detail shown in the interior decoration, finishing of the architectural elements, and thought devoted to the features in the kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms really impressed us. I'll be honest, rarely have I seen such attention and care in a property that also caters to rentals- this is truly a very rare and special find in a fabulous location. Thomas and Lauren are generous hosts and communication between them and the 4 Vallee property management team was excellent! As a result, our stay was incredibly smooth- the chalet manual meant we had all questions clearly answered and referenced at our fingertips. Our stay at Chalet Charbray enabled us to really break away from the daily routine and achieve much needed relaxation! A heartfelt thank you very much for providing such a beautiful home for us to enjoy and making our stay there truly unforgettable. We very much look forward to the opportunity to return and spend more time at Chalet Charbray.

Sehr schönes Chalet in einer TOP Lage!

Das Chalet hat alles Notwendige an Ausstattung! Die Lage ist top! Auch weil das Chalet am Ende einer Straße steht und da kein Durchgangsverkehr da ist! Die Aussicht kratzt an „traumhaft“ lediglich stören paar Bäume, die etwas die Sicht versperren, um den Blick in den Tal voll genießen zu können! Absolute Empfehlung!

Traumhaft schön

Wir waren zwei Familien mit 5 Kindern (15, 14, 13, 10 und 2 Jahre alt). Der Platz war ausreichend. Auch Rückzugsmöglichkeiten vorhanden. Sauna und Jacuzzi waren der absolute Hammer! Die Küche ist wirklich mit allem ausgestattet. Einfach ein Traumchalet. Mit Kindern muss man fast das Auto nehmen um an die Gondelstation zu gelangen. Aber das war für uns total OK (ca. 7 min. mit Auto). Das Skigebiet ist für Familien mit grösseren Kindern (ab 5 Jahren) super schön mit unendlich vielen Pisten und Möglichkeiten. Mit Kleinkindern eher weniger geeignet. Es hat viele Treppen bei der Gondelstation und der Zauberteppich ist für meinen Geschmack etwas abgelegen. Wir hatten jedenfalls grossen Spass und wie schon gesagt, das Chalet ist einfach Traumhaft.

Traumhaftestes Haus

Eines der schönsten Ferienhäuser, in dem wir je waren. Super ausgestattet. Total gemütlich und mit grandiosem Blick auf die verschneite Bergwelt. Durch die Sackgassenlage sehr ruhig gelegen. Nach dem Skilaufen konnten wir Sauna und Jacuzzi genießen. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet. Die Betten sehr bequem. Zur Skigondel kommt man allerdings nur per Auto. Wer morgens etwas später dran ist, hat dann Probleme einen Parkplatz zu finden. Toll war auch die lange Rodelpiste im Ort. Alles in allem ein richtig toller Winterurlaub. Nur die gemütlichen Berghütten haben uns hier etwas gefehlt.

A wonderful chalet with everything you could wish for

From the moment we walked into the chalet we were blown away. Chalet Chabray offers an impressive mix of modern and traditional, built in wood but contemporarily styled. The main living area is spacious but still cosy with a proper fire place, huge sofas, a big dining table, a fantastic kitchen kitted out with every modern appliance and spectacular views. The four bedrooms are beautifuly appointed, each looking out over the valley. There is a hot tub and a sauna which are the perfect antidote to a day on the slopes. The whole place is situated in a peaceful, private location and yet is still close to the town. The skiing is great, with well-groomed pistes. We will definitely be back - hopefully soon! We can imagine that the summer here would be magical too.

A very luxuruous chalet

A very comfortable and highly equipped and finished in decoration chalet that could host 10 people without problems (sofas, table big enough, spacious bedrooms (2 en-suite). Hot tub + sauna a plus for after ski-walks. Area very quiet and still within walking distance to the village (via pedestrian short-cuts). Unfortunately, ski bus passing too far, had to take the car to the cable-car. Had some troubles but they were immediately addressed by the owner and local agency. To be recommended for a super family or friends holidays!

The views from the living room, dining room, and outdoor hot tub are fabulous - especially looking above to the stars! We love to cook, so the kitchen has high quality materials: 2 ovens, 5 induction plates, plate-warming drawer, 2 refrigerators, dishwasher and is fully stocked. We hope you enjoy your stay with us!

Why they chose this property

Our chalet is next to a forest, so we have perfect tranquility and a very private situation. You nonetheless can ski back to the chalet from the telecabin in La Tzoumaz (assuming enough snow!) We love our location because we have access to the 4 vallées (Verbier, Nendaz, etc.) yet we are in a family-oriented resort.
