About this property

'The wart' on the bank of the stream.

The house is situated in an area of ​​outstanding beauty and tranquility, with a beautiful view towards the crown of the Pisan mountains, covered by forests of pine and chestnut trees, but without having the defect isolation. It has a garden on two levels, with separate entrance, equipped with sun loungers, and, on the lower level, grid and table for fourteen people. The garden allows exclusive access to the stream below, where you can also fish.
The entrance to the apartment is independent, with a large terrace with table and chairs from where you can admire our wonderful mountains and Wart, an ancient fortress of Pisa.
Besides the access road, 10 meters and sloping down to the river Zambra, there is the garden in the countryside, equipped with deck chairs and sun, and a very large table with barbecue, great for dinner with friends, and enjoy a bit cool on the creek, after spending a day at sea.
Our major art cities are within a short time: PISA in 15 minutes, 20 minutes LUCCA, FLORENCE in 1 hour. Then there VOLTERRA, SIENA, the Sienese hills, vineyards, with San Gimignano, Vinci and
Montalcino, Tuscany then again so rich in history. In less than 30 minutes you can reach the coast, with the beaches of Tirrenia, Marina di Pisa, Marina di Vecchiano, Viareggio, Forte dei Marmi, where the nightlife is not missing, then the city of Carrara in the Apuan Alps, and its marble. Just 300 meters from the house, there is the Carthusian Monastery, which is one of the largest Carthusian monasteries d 'Italy, and which houses the Museum of Natural Sciences of the University of Pisa.

Both hosts were very friendly and the house was clean. Checking in was a bit dificult because it was done in Italian, and she doesnt speak English. The garden was across the busy road, so not at the house (not practical) and the furniture in the garden was old and not clean and the hammock was moulded. The bbq was so full of rust that you could not use it safely. There is a busy road next to the house and the drivers constantly honk, because its located in a curve of the road. Anoying when this is done as of 6:30 AM....Its located centraly near Luca, Livorno, Pisa and the beach so thats really nice. We had a lovely time in general, but the house itself was a bit disappointing. It also had no air conditioning. The owners were lovely people.

Charmante, gepflegte Wohnung, großzügig geschnitten und sehr gut ausgestattet.

Sehr schöne Wohnung in toller Lage mit allem Komfort, liebevoll und etwas nostalgisch eingerichtet, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Renzo und Elisa sind sehr aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Gastgeber. Das schöne Dorf Calci ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar und hat einige sehr empfehlenswerte Restaurants.

Un soggiorno perfetto

Il signor Renzo e la signora Elisa sono stati gentilissimi! La casa è grande e accogliente e ha tutto il necessario per uno splendido soggiorno. Calci è veramente una chicca, soprattutto per chi vuole fare escursioni. Sicuramente consigliatissimo Forse l'unico difetto è che la casa è direttamente sulla strada, ma gli abitanti del posto sono molto rispettosi, frenano e suonano quando passano per avvertire le persone che escono dal porticatoTutto perfetto grazie

Ferienwohnung Calci

Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich. Der Mann spricht auch Englisch. Er hat mich nach der Ankunft gleich Mal in sein Auto geladen und mir die wichtigsten Plätze von Calci gezeigt (beste Pizzaria, Apotheke, Supermarkt ....). Die Lage des Hauses ist nicht ganz so optimal: es liegt direkt an einer mäßig befahrenen Straße, das Sitzen auf dem Balkon ist dadurch nicht so gemütlich. Die Wohnung ist sauber, es gibt alles, wassn so braucht, insgesamt rustikal italienisch.

agréable mais situé le long d’une route dangereuse pour enfants à traverser pour aller au jardin

Appartement agréable et propriétaires charmants. Espace peu approprié aux jeunes enfants car il faut traverser une route dangereuse pour accéder au jardin infesté de moustiques. 2 SDB dont les mitigeurs n’étaient pas fixés et l’un d’eux est tombé sur le pied d’un adulte heureusement l’eau était tiède mais bon hématome. Réparation effectuée par les propriétaires qui ont remis des vis.

Toller Familienurlaub im sehr heißen Juli

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Urlaub mit der Familie (+ Hund) in diesem Haus in Calci. Die Verständigung mit den freundlichen Vermietern klappte auf Englisch oder mit Hilfe der Übersetzungs-App hervorragend. Sie wohnen in der direkten Nachbarschaft und sind mit Tipps, Rat und Hilfe immer zur Stelle, egal ob es um die Abwehr der Mücken, schöne Strände, gute Restaurants vor Ort oder den richtigen Wein geht. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Das Platzangebot in Schlafzimmern, Wohnraum, Küche und in den Bädern war für unsere Bedürfnisse großzügig. Der große Balkon ist zwar schmal, reichte jedoch für uns, um abends draußen zu sitzen, zu essen oder zu spielen. Der Balkon an der Küche ist klein, liegt dafür aber morgens im Schatten. Der richtige Platz für den ersten Kaffee des Tages. Die Küche ist mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Wir hatten zwar ein paar Kleinigkeiten wie große Schneidbretter oder einen Schneebesen vermisst, aber da kann man sich ja behelfen. Die Straße führt ins Nachbardorf und es fahren regelmäßig Linienbusse, Fahrräder, Autos, Vespas am Haus vorbei. Da die Straße eng ist, wird auch gern mit der Hupe gewarnt. Daran hatten wir uns aber schnell gewöhnt. Im Juli war es sehr heiß – auch unsere Vermieter betonten, dass die Temperaturen für ihre Verhältnisse ungewöhnlich hoch seien – trotzdem blieb es im Haus auch ohne AirCondition kühl, wenn die Fensterläden tagsüber geschlossen blieben. Dann ist es im Haus zwar etwas dunkel. Der Garten mit dem Zugang zum Bach liegt auf der gegenüberliegenden Straßenseite. Er ist hübsch wild-romantisch angelegt und für die Kinder war es ein Vergnügen, dort zu planschen und sich abzukühlen. Leider gab es durch die bereits lang anhaltende Trockenheit in Italien nur eine geringe Strömung im Flusslauf. Das freute die Mücken und hat uns den Aufenthalt im Garten etwas verleidet. Die Lage in der Toskana ist gut: Pisa liegt um die Ecke, Lucca ist nah, der Strand in Marina di Vecchiano gut zu erreichen und auch andere Ziele der Region wie Siena, San Gimignano oder Florenz sind nicht zu weit weg. Calci selbst hat alles, was man braucht: Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Gelateria und Pasticcheria. Das Museum La Certosa in Calci selbst ist unbedingt einen Besuch wert! Es gab auch einige attraktive Wanderziele in der Nähe, die wir aber aufgrund der hohen Temperaturen nicht angesteuert haben. Perfekter Urlaub!

Wir haben zwei wirklich schöne Wochen in Calci verbracht! Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und für bis zu sieben Personen perfekt geeignet. Hinzu kommen noch zwei Schlafmöglichkeiten auf Zustellbetten. Alle in der Beschreibung angegebenen Ausstattungsmerkmale waren vorhanden. Nur das WLAN hat am Anfang nicht funktioniert und war auch nicht immer ganz stabil. Ankunft und Abreise mit Schlüsselübergabe gestalteten sich reibungslos. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich, unkompliziert und hilfsbereit. Sie stehen bei Fragen und Problemen jederzeit schnell zur Verfügung (sie wohnen im gleichen Haus). Auch Parkmöglichkeiten gibt es im Hof um die Ecke. Mit einem Minivan oder einem größeren SUV ist zwar ein bisschen Rangieren notwendig, aber mit ein bisschen Übung haben wir das Ein- und Ausparken dann ganz gut hinbekommen. Wenn wir gerade beim Thema Auto sind: Ja, das Objekt liegt direkt an einer Straße. Auf dieser Straße fahren pro Stunde vielleicht 20 Autos, die auch mal hupen, weil die Platzverhältnisse doch etwas eng sind, man also nicht an allen Stellen so ohne Weiteres aneinander vorbei kommt. Da muss halt den Gegenverkehr vorwarnen. Uns hat das aber überhaupt nicht gestört. Im Ort gibt es einen Supermarkt. Außerdem gibt es mehrere Restaurants, wovon wir zwei ausprobiert haben und sehr zufrieden waren. Nicht zu vergessen ist auch eine Eisdiele, die wirklich leckeres Eis hat. Wir waren da fast schon Dauergäste :-) Pisa ist ca. 20 Minuten entfernt, auch in Lucca und Livorno ist man recht schnell. Für die anderen "größeren" toskanischen muss man dann aber schon mit Fahrtzeiten von einer Stunde und mehr rechnen . Den nächstgelegenen Strand (Tirrenia, Sand) erreicht man bei normalem Verkehr in rund 35 Minuten. Nicht zu vergessen sind auch diverse Wanderrouten in der Umgebung, die wir allerdings nicht selbst getestet haben. Alles in allem also eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, die wir jederzeit gerne wieder buchen würden!

Excellent séjour

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en Toscane. La maison est très agréable, avec une grande authenticité. Elle est bien située, dans un endroit calme et proche de Pise et de Lucca. Renzo et Elisa sont des hôtes discrets et très prévenants. Ils nous ont donné tous les conseils utiles pour notre séjour. Cela a été un vrai plaisir que de faire leur rencontre.

Großartige Gastgeber in einer wunderschönen Atmosphäre

Wir haben uns von Anfang bis Ende unglaublich gut umsorgt, wahnsinnig freundlich aufgenommen und einfach sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung war wunderschön eingerichtet, alles was man brauchen kann war vorhanden, vor allem viel Platz. Verzaubert hat uns der verträumte Garten mit Bachlauf (und Mücken) und die unglaubliche Freundlichkeit von Rezzo und Elisa. Da wir ohne Auto unterwegs waren, wurden wir zum Supermarkt gefahren und abgeholt, für die Kinder wurden Spiele organisiert und wir wurden mit wunderbaren Unternehmungshinweisen versorgt. Wir hoffen unser Bambusboot findet einen schönen Platz und wir werden das hupen vermissen.

Un très bon accueil et très bon séjour

Nous avons été très bien accueillis par Elisa, Renzo et Piero. La propriété est très bien pour deux familles. Couchage suffisant, deux sanitaires et de grandes pièces à vivre agréables. La propriété est très bien située par rapport aux principaux sites à visiter (Pise, Florence, Sienne, Luca, les 5 terres et la plage). De nombreuses ballades sont possibles autour de la propriété et permettent de découvrir Calci, la montagne et de beau paysages. Elisa est très accueillante et a su se rendre disponible et à l'écoute.

Maison rustique spacieuse

Nous avons passé une douzaine de jours dans cette grande maison typique de la région. La maison est très très propre, bien équipée et si on suit les conseils reste assez fraîche malgré la chaleur extérieure. Renzo et Elisa sont des hôtes charmants et à l’écoute de nos besoins. Nous avons été gêné par le fait que le jardin ne soit pas directement accessible et qu’il y ait beaucoup trop de moustiques en raison de la rivière. La route passagère près de la maison et les multiples coups de klaxon du matin au soir sont assez pénibles. Le bourg de Calci offre toutes les commodités nécessaires et l’accès aux routes pour aller visiter est rapide.

So stellen wir uns die Toskana vor

Wir (4 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) durften eine sehr schöne Woche in Calci verbringen. Die Ferienwohnung bot uns für 8 Tage ein fast verwunschenes kleines toskainischies Zuhause. Renzo und Elisa versorgten uns mit den besten Ratschlägen. Nicht nur wie man die Wohnung im August erträglich kühl hält sondern auch welche Sehenswürdigkeiten man am besten mit welchem Verkehrsmittel besichtigt. Zuhören lohnt sich :) die beiden haben die besten Tipps die man nicht in Reiseführern nachlesen kann. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung war gut und es war sehr sauber. Jederzeit gerne wieder :)

Graziosa come la valle

27agosto. 9persone. Soggiorno appena terminato. Casa molto carina e spaziosa,grandi locali e 2bagni accoglienti,cucina attrezzatissima dotata di tutto ed ancor di più. Si può mangiare senza difficoltà in 9 in cucina,o in sala,o sul terrazzino oppure in giardino. Posizione strategica, in 40/60 min. si arriva al mare come alle città di pregio. Compito difficile descrivere i signori proprietari,simpatia,cortesia,disponibilità ed accoglienza di rara sincerità. Sicuramente un valore aggiunto alla loro proposta. Sforzandosi a voler trovare note negative non ne vengono in mente....ai prossimi ospiti l'arduo compito. Se avremo occasione non mancheremo di tornarci. Grazie Elisa,grazie Renzo. Il soggiorno in questa casa con famiglia è durato 6 giorni.....Posto bellissimo e tranquillo...La signora Elisa proprietaria dell'appartamento è una persona gentilissima e cordiale.All'arrivo casa era calda pulita non mancava nulla...A 5 minuti da dove è situata casa si può arrivare tranquillamente a piedi al museo nazionale della Certosa di Calci...Consiglio vivamente il soggiorno in questa casa nel verde e con tutte le comodità che mette a disposizione la gentilissima signora Elisa....

Eine original toskanische Wohnung mit Flair.

Die Wohnung ist sehr geräumig und in typisch toskanischer Styl eingerichtet. Auch ist die Ausstattung vollkommen ausreichend. Die Besitzer sind freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Lage des Objekts ist sehr zentral und alles was man für das tägliche Leben benötigt ist innerhalb von ca. 15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Auch kann man die interessante Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Pisa oder Lucca in kürzester Zeit mit dem Auto besuchen. Leider konnten wir den angegebenen Garten nicht nutzen, da dieser auf der anderen Straßenseite liegt. Da hier auch ein Bach entlang führt wimmelte es gerade zu nur von Stechmücken (auch Autan und Ähnliches war hier nicht hilfreich).Somit waren wir gezwungen den schmalen Balkon zu nutzen. Die Idyllische Ruhe wurde durch die Straße die direkt am Haus vorbei führt gestört (Hupkonzerte sind an der Tagesordnung).

Very nice apartment and helpful owners!

We were a family of 6, and we all enjoyed the 11 days stay here. The apartment was more than big enough for us, and the owners were very helpful and friendly. They live nearby and it was always easy to get in contact with them. It is around 15 km to the city of Pisa, and you will need a car. However, there is a car park for this apartment just outside the door. Very nice walk to village Montemagno, and further up to the medieval Verruca castle ruin on top of the mountain. Fantastic view of the entire Pisa area from there! By car, circa 25 minutes drive to beautiful beaches west of Pisa. Supermarket, a few restaurants and gelaterias in Calci, 10 min walk from the apartment. Highly recommended, and in our opinion, good value for money. Tore Kielland Norway

Heaven on Earth!

It was easy to find. The house is located in a small traditional village few minutes away from Pisa City Center and offers an easy drive to the beach, to Livorno, Florence or wherever might you like! The house is spacious, fresh and charming. You will find everything you need inside and, in working condition. Renzo and Elisa are very kind hosts. Spacious house in a beautifull environment

We had a beautifull vacation in this spacious house. Everything we needed was available. The owners were very friendly and helpfull. There are a lot of things you can do (the museum in Calci, Pisa, Lucca, Livorno, Sienna, Firenze, the sea, visit wine- and oliveyards, etc.). It was great to taste a little from beautifull Tuscany.
