Romantic Lummi Cottage, Secluded in the Trees with Water View & Beach Path

Permit #96CU031 -The Lummi Cottage has a wonderful view of the water and mountains and access to our private beach. It has a full kitchen, full bath and built in queen size European style alcove box bed.
It has a covered porch, high ceilings with a ceiling fan, wood stove, hardwood floors and a Mission style oak couch with a big comfy leather chair in the corner. There is a TV, DVD, radio, and free wireless internet access onsite.
The Lummi Cottage is sited for maximum privacy and seclusion. It is perfect for an individual's retreat or a romantic getaway.
*Please note that the Lummi Cottage is located about 200 feet down a trail from the parking area. It is not suitable for people who are disabled or have limited mobility.

Gorgeous water view, great little cabin

It had everything we needed. Just make sure to bring a sleep mask bc there are many windows but no curtains at all. Also there is only a mini fridge so don’t buy too many groceries.

My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay at Lummi cottage. A stellar view and great amenities made our stay so enjoyable. We're already thinking about coming back!

Spectacular view

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lummi Cottage. It was peaceful and the view was amazing. The cottage was spotless. The kitchen is basic but fine for breakfast and making lunches. We spent the week hiking at Moran State Park, which is minutes from the cottage. It was a pleasure to meet Jim and Betsy. I would not hesitate to return to their Bayside Cottages.

Lovely cabin with a stunning view of Mt. Baker

We had a wonderful time in this well-designed, efficient little cabin. It was sparkling clean and provided everything we needed. Our hosts were very helpful and gracious.

Perfection!

I'm surprised that this is the first review of Lummi Cottage, as the guest book in the cottage is filled with evidence of how much people loved it. My husband and I (from New York), rented the Lummi Cottage for a week while our friends (from California) rented the nearly-twin Cypress Cottage. Each is totally private but within an easy wildflower-path walk from the other. From the first moment we arrived we knew we'd made a great choice. Betsy and Jim are delightful, very helpful without being at all intrusive. The multi-acre property is beautiful, with woods, wildflower meadows and direct access to the beach. Our cottage, tucked into the trees, had a view of the water and snow-covered Mt. Baker. Look at the photos. It is exactly as pictured and meticulously maintained. Comfortable bed and chairs and beautifully designed interior. It is small but very comfortable and well thought out. The kitchen worked well for us, so well that we opted to cook dinners at our own cottages rather than sample the local restaurants. You do have to bring all of your own ingredients for cooking (though there was a roll of paper towels, dish soap, salt and pepper). However, the Island Market in Eastsound is excellent, with a fine selection. We stocked up at Safeway in Anacortes but later found that the Island Market was just as good if not better. The Buck Bay Shellfish Company (nearby) has wonderful clams, mussels, oysters, but bear in mind that they don't open until 11:30. I could go on and on about this place, but basically it is a peaceful retreat in a beautiful part of the world. I'd go back in a heartbeat. p.s. I know I should also list downsides but really I can't think of any!
