This charming, historic, and beautifully appointed beachfront house features two bedrooms (one room with an attached bath has a Queen bed and another room with a single bed) and sleeps three. The cottage is stocked with everything you will need for an easy getaway. Enjoy the large deck overlooking the breathtaking views of Mt. Baker and the Sisters, watch the ferry, the Whatcom Chief, sail back and forth, take a soak in the deep tub, read by the fireplace, put your kayak in the water, and adventure, or go for a bike ride or hike. You will find yourself within walking distance of the local Beach Store Cafe (just across the street but please check the website to see hours of operation as they are limited), and the local grocery store. Conveniently located only a five-minute walk to the ferry and on the picturesque 7-mile loop which is great for walking and bike riding. Despite the proximity to Vancouver BC and Seattle, Lummi Island feels like it is a 'world away'. The Beach House was built in 1933 and has a long history on Lummi Island, and at one time served as the local library. With a complete Sunset Magazine-worthy remodel couldn't be sweeter.

Cute, cozy cottage with great view. Comfortable furniture. Worked well for mobility impaired with a walker, (not appropriate for a wheelchair, however.)
Very cozy beach house for two, and there is a single bed in the other small bedroom. Nicely decorated and the view towards Bellingham and Mt Baker can’t be beat.
A perfect place to stay! We loved the coziness and the views, and it was ideal for lazy mornings and recuperating after hiking. Also great that it was so close to the ferry. It was our first visit to Lummi and we'll definitely be back. Communication was terrific!
This cottage gives you a real cottage experience with beautiful views from the back porch. Watching the ferry go back and forth and listening to the seagulls as you enjoy the backdrop of snow covered Mt Baker. Very relaxing few days.
This is a well-equipped cottage in a beautiful and convenient setting. It was perfect for the three of us plus our two small dogs. It is only a short walk from the ferry and the Island Market. There is a good espresso stand close by (although it is not open all days off-season). Angie was available for help if needed, but we never had any need to call on her.People should be aware that the island is less busy during late Fall to late Spring, and most of the businesses seem to be closed then. However, if you enjoy a slower pace in beautiful surroundings among very friendly people, this may be an ideal destination for you.
Great spot! Clean, cozy, great location, would absolutely stay again

Check was good, loved the view and cabin is well equipped. Nice and clean. Living room rug is a bit too easy to trip on. We loved the cabin and our stay on Lummi.
A cozy, charming cottage with all the comforts of home. We especially loved the generous deck with its morning sun and gorgeous views of the water. The perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. We’ll be back!
I’m generally not a relaxing vacation gal, more of a do it alllll person, but dang if I did not FULLY RELAX at this adorable Lummi Beach House. It’s exactly perfect in every way. Gorgeous views, nice little rocky beach to explore, comfy couch and insanely comfy bed, huge bathtub with a lovely view, great little kitchen if you want to cook at home, fantastic little deck, walkable to ferry, market and Beach Store Cafe annnnd dog friendly!! We’d love to come back.
This was the perfect location on the island for attending a local wedding. Check-in was easy and the cottage was clean and perfect for the weekend.

Colleen McCrory and Angie Dixon, long-term residents of Lummi Island, and friends, became the proud new owners of the Beach House in December of 2014. This delightful home with its up-close water views, location, place in the island's history and unique style was a particular joy and opportunity for them, as well as their families. They look forward to sharing the Beach House and this wonderful community and island with you. The peace, abundance of nature and outdoor adventures here on Lummi Island are unbeatable.
Why they chose this property
We both love living here and being a part of the island and were excited to be able to invest in such a beautiful property.
What makes this property unique
This property has the best of both convenience to island locations like the Beach Store Cafe, the library, store, school and ferry and privacy and stunning views, and waterfront.
