The "Low Plain ****" is a very pleasant and personalized house, built with natural and authentic materials. It has been designed to leave you with unforgettable holiday memories. Well thought out, easy to maintain, you do not miss anything! During the hot season, we live outside on the covered terrace, from which we have a panoramic view of the beautiful rolling countryside around Lauzerte. Surrounded by a garden with a large lawn, you will feel at home! The rooms are well furnished with good beds. On our large property in organic farming, there is also a lake to bathe in pure water (sources) and natural (without chlorine) of 2 ha. There is a large wooden pontoon and a boat especially for you. Well insulated, the house stays cool in summer and can be comfortably heated in winter (underfloor heating), so ideal for a stay out of season. There is the internet, to stay in touch ...
Let yourself be tempted to spend your holidays at the Low Plain! Rates are 'all inclusive'. And to enjoy the summer again and if you do not have to take your vacation in August, why not book in September or even in October? Spring is also a wonderful time to go for walks and visit the area. In addition, the rates are lower, and it's even more quiet!

Lovely home, beautiful lake!

We had a great stay with our two children (5 & 11) and would thoroughly recommend Marjan's house. It is much better in person and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The supermarket wasn't very far away and we visited several pools that were close by, to cool off when it was 40 degrees! The lake is lovely too. The rural location suited us - the peace and quiet was just what we needed.

A hidden gem!

La Plaine Basse is very special. Every detail has been tastefully and carefully considered by its owners. The furnishings are of the highest quality; the building's decor of rustic style. You arrive at this lovely property, and need nothing but food – good local wine is available to buy on-site. Then there's the location, which simultaneously offers expansive country views and total privacy. The owner's lake is also something to savour: it's clear, warm and secluded. The pretty, medieval town of Lauzerte is easily accessible for shopping, and Cahors – with its wonderful covered and outdoor markets – is just over 30 minutes away. La Plaine Basse occupies a priviledged position in a very unspoilt part of France. And its owners have done their best to ensure their guests make the most of it. I almost hesitate to write this review, for the simple fact that I'd prefer this property to remain a hidden gem... We'll be returning, I know.

Wunderschönes Haus in malerischer Landschaft mit einem großartigen See in unmittelbarer Nähe, an dem wir viel Zeit verbracht haben. Das Haus verfügt über sehr großzügige Räume, eine exzellent ausgestattete Küche, sowie alle Annehmlichkeiten, um es sich gut gehen zu lassen. Hervorzuheben ist auch die angenehme Abgeschiedenheit des Anwesens, man ist vollkommen für sich. Alle Absprachen mit den Vermietern liefen unkompliziert und angenehm. Insgesamt verbrachten wir eine wirklich schöne Woche hier, vielen Dank!

Ruhige Ferienhaus in toller Lage

Das Haus liegt perfekt für Menschen, die Ruhe suchen. Dazu kommt ein wunderbarer Weitblick von der Terasse über tolle Landschaft. Die Einrichtung ist mehr als vollständig und alles prima in Schuss. Der See ist 15 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt und toll zum Schwimmen - wir waren fast immer alleine dort. Tom

Heerlijk huis met grote tuin in een mooie en rustige omgeving. Het huis is echt van alle gemakken voorzien; zelfs een espresso apparaat en zowaar speciaal voor ons Nederlandse TV! We hebben twee keer lekker in het meer gezwommen. Het meer ligt “verstopt” op 1,5 km van het huis. Het huis is lekker koel en heeft een fijn terras. Wij voelden ons er echt thuis.

Un écrin de sérénité en campagne lauzertoise

Excellent séjour passé en campagne au Gîte La Plaine Basse chez Marjan et son mari. Nous avons été très bien accueillis et avons passé d'agréables moments sur la terrasse à contempler le paysage et avons pu profiter du lac qui se trouve à 2 minutes de la maison en voiture ... un vrai bonheur pour les enfants, surtout en période de canicule ! La maison est spacieuse et décorée avec beaucoup de goût. Elle est complètement équipée et permet de préparer de bons petits plats. Possibilité de se restaurer sur Lauzerte (8 minutes en voiture) ... nous avons mangé de succulentes pizzas au restaurant l'Etna et avons été très bien accueillis. Merci à Marjan et son mari pour les pastèques ... un régal ! Nous recommandons vivement !

Logement de très belle qualité, aménagé avec goût et très fonctionnel. Idéal pour se mettre au vert et se reposer. Cerise sur le gâteau, un petit lac privé permet de se rafraîchir, faire un barbecue, se reposer à l'ombre des chênes et les enfants s'éclatent ! Madame et Monsieur Den Bakker sont très sympathiques et accueillants, ils produisent de succulentes pastèques. Nous recommandons.

Een fijne week

Wij hebben een hele fijne vakantie week met z’n vieren gehad! Het huis was van alle gemakken voorzien. We zijn door dit huis goed in de vakantie stemming gekomen. Hier kom je voor je rust. Er is weinig in de buurt te beleven. Het ecologisch meer, wat het gunstigst met de auto te bereiken is, geeft vertier. Veel dank!

Roland et Marjan Den Bakker sont des hôtes tres professionnels, qui prennent grand soin de la maison qu'ils ont bâti de leurs propres mains. Ils sont aussi fort sympathiques, et ont fait tout leur possible pour rendre notre séjour agréable. Noue recherchions un lieu tres calme pour nous retrouver en famille et nous relaxer. Je tiens tout d abord a remercier les propriétaires qui ont été d’une gentillesse incroyable, bienveillant et toujours disponible. De plus, ils ont aussi accueilli à bras ouvert mon jeune chien qui aimait aller les voir tout les jours et s’installer autour de la table. Je recommande vivement cette location. Très belle maison très bien équipée. Nous avons apprécié le calme, le cadre, les vues et les petits plus comme la machine à café et les hamacs…. Bien situé à quelques minutes en voiture du charmant village de Lauzerte. Propriétaires discrets mais sympathiques . Le lac est magnifique mais situé à une vingtaine de minutes à pied et accessible en voiture en 5-10 min par des chemins agricoles.

Un séjour parfait!

Quelle merveilleuse découverte au coeur du Tarn et Garonne! Lauzerte est une charmante cité médiévale dynamique avec une vue sublime sur une région vallonnée point de départ de nombreux chemins de randonnées ainsi que de multiples visites culturelles tout autour. Quant à la maison de Marjan et Roland, elle nous a offert tout ce que nous espérions trouver pour nous ressourcer: Confort et fonctionnalité à l'intérieur, une vue sublime (les levers de soleil sont à tomber par terre), des hamacs dans le jardin pour observer le ciel étoilé à la tombée de la nuit, une terrasse plus que confortable, un calme absolu, et cerise sur le gâteau le petit lac qui offre un point de baignade unique. Nos hôtes ont un sens de l'hospitalité qui nous a énormément touché, (nous pensons encore avec gourmandises aux délicieuses pastèques et tomates du jardin) nous ne pouvons que recommander vivement cette location. Nous gardons précieusement l'adresse, Marjan et Roland, vous n'êtes pas à l'abri de nous nous revoir ;-)

Nous avons passé d’excellentes vacances dans cette maison très calme. La vue est magnifique. La maison est très fonctionnelle, très bien agencée et équipée. Elle est fraîche en été, on peut prendre ses repas dehors à l’ombre sur la terrasse. Le lac est splendide, nous y avons passé plusieurs heures chaque jour. Les environs sont magnifiques. Nos hôtes sont très accueillants et disponibles. Un immense merci.

Trés belles vacances

La maison était impeccable dans un endroit très calme. L'accueil des propriétaire a été très chaleureux et nous avons été ravis de partager leur univers ( agriculture et construction biologique). Gîte de très haute qualité au style d'autrefois et très bien équipé. Terrasse pour prendre les repas au milieu des champs et possibilité d'utiliser un lac privatif pour nager - inédit.
