About this property

Posh 2 bed 1 bath, parquet floor, Kensington W8 Home to Prince and Princess

Beautiful 2 bedroom and one small computer room, parquet flooring, nicely decorated to high standard, nice living room and fully equipped kitchen, 5-7 minutes High Street Kensington, 5-7 minutes Earls Court and 1 minute Cromwell Road & Cromwell hospital.Flat is super convenient to Knightsbridge, Soho, and all the sights and a direct link to and from Heathrow (NO CHANGE) on Piccadilly line.
Kensington & Chelsea is one of the most attractive areas of London. It is the home to several major museums such as Natural History museum and Science museum.

The famous department stores Harrods, Peter Jones and Harvey Nichols are also located in Kensington. Hyde Park is a short walk away, and if you walk through the park you will reach Oxford Street, the most famous shopping street in London. Most attractions of London are within easy reach, such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace and Piccadilly Circus.

There are plenty of bars, and especially King's Road is known for its many bars, restaurants and clubs. Notting Hill is only a short journey away where you can enjoy lots of small shops, trendy cafés and bars and the exciting Portobello Market.

There are plenty of tube stations in the area that will take you wherever you want to go in London. If you want to enjoy the extensive night life London has to offer, there are also plenty of buses and night buses running 24/7 from all directions in London.
My apartment is located in the heart of Kensington, one of the finest areas of London, and is minutes from Knightsbridge (renowned for Natural History, Science, and Victoria & Albert Museums ), as well as the exclusive shopping areas of High Street Kensington, Kings Road and Knightsbridge, comprising both boutiques and the internationally famous department store, Harrods
Both the underground (District and Piccadilly lines) and London's famous red buses (C1, 328 and 74) give easy access to the theatres and nightlife of London's West End.
London is one of the greenest cities in the world and some of the most beautiful parks in Europe are on our doorstep including Hyde Park, Holland Park, and Kensington Gardens where Kensington Palace is located.
Music lovers should not miss a chance to visit the Royal Albert Hall, also in Kensington, for world class classical music, opera and performances.
For the antique collectors among you, the internationally famous Portobello Road is a short bus ride away.
Business travellers will be within walking distance of Olympia conference centres and the apartment is close to the A4 for direct access to Heathrow airport.
Whatever your reason for visiting London, whether for business or pleasure, apartment is perfectly placed.

London is one of the most exciting cities in the world. A big, vibrant, ever changing place, renowned for its history, pageantry and architecture, along with its famous restaurants, theatres, clubs and nightlife.

London Heathrow Airport is 14 miles (22km) from the apartment and there are several transport options to choose from. A Taxi or Uber is an easy option to reach the apartment, however, taking the Tube from the airport is just as easy. Take the Piccadilly Line directly to Earls Court Tube Station, exit via the Earls Court Road exit, turn left out of the station, walk straight, cross the main Cromwell Road, continue straight ahead and the next street on your right where the apartment is situated (It is 8 minutes walk). If you decide to travel by Heathrow Express, you will need to take a District line underground to Earls Court tube station from Paddington station. It will take you around 40 minutes to 1 hour to reach the apartment.

London Gatwick Airport is 30 miles (47km) from the apartment and is easily reached by different means of transport. You can take the Gatwick Express that goes to Victoria Station and from there take the District Line to Earls Court tube station. The Gatwick Express takes approximately 35 minutes to Victoria Station. The cheapest option is to pre-book an EasyBus shuttle, which will take 65-80 minutes to Victoria Station. Should you decide to take a taxi/uber, it will take approximately one hour and 15 minutes dependent on traffic.

London City Airport is 14 miles (23km) from the apartment. The easiest way to reach the apartment is to take a taxi/uber which will take around an hour and a half. Should you decide to use DLR services and then the underground, take DLR from London City Airport station to Tower Hill and change for the District Line to Earls Court tube station.

London Stansted Airport is 43 miles (69 km) from the apartment. The train is the fastest and most convenient way from Stansted Airport to central London (London Liverpool Street) with an average journey time of 45 minutes. The Stansted Express shuttle bus now operates early morning and late at night. The shuttle can be pre-booked and will take you from the airport to the Victoria Station. It takes around 75 minutes. Obviously there is always the option for a taxi/uber!

London Luton Airport is 36 miles (57 km) from the apartment. Regular rail services to central London take as little as 25 minutes. You can catch the Luton Airport shuttle bus from outside the terminal. This will take you to Luton Airport Parkway station in around 10 minutes where you can catch a train southbound into London St. Pancras (25 minutes) and from there the Piccadilly line to Earls Court tube station. Green Line provides an express coach link between London Luton Airport and Central London and the nearest stop to the apartment is Victoria Green Line. From there you need to walk to Victoria tube station and then take the District line to Earls Court tube station. Pre-booked EasyBus shuttle is another option - it offers a high frequency, low cost express bus service between Central London and Luton Airport. EasyBus coaches run 24-hours a day between the airport and Central London. The closest stop to the apartment is London Victoria. Another option is a taxi/uber!

By Road: All major roads and motorways towards London intersect with the M25 London orbital motorway. The easiest routes are to join the M25 east or westbound, as appropriate, to reach the M4 intersection. Come off the M25 onto the M4 and head towards London. The apartment is off the Cromwell Road, which is the A4 and a continuation of the M4. Take the next left after the junction for Earl's Court, which will be Marloes Road, then turn left.

By underground: Earls Court is the closest underground station to the apartment. It is on the Piccadilly and District Lines. At Earls Court, exit via the Earls Court Road exit and turn left, walk straight, cross over Cromwell Road and continue straight, we are the first turning on the right. It is approximately 8 minutes walk. High Street Kensington Tube 9 minutes, Gloucester Road Tube 10 minutes.

perfect apartment in great location

The apartment exceeded our expectations - the photos do not lie and it's a lot larger than I imagined. Patris the owner went out of his way to provide information and on arrival there was a lovely bowl of fruit and milk and water in the fridge. Even a coffee machine and pods supplied. Really clean, and comfortable and given the appalling weather it was great to arrive to a warm and cosy home from home. Highly recommended and will stay here again next time we visit London. Thank you Patris

Smart flat, great host, convenient location

First: the pics do not lie, this is a smart, sharp, sparkling flat. Modern, very clean, comfortable, all conveniences. Kitchen well stocked with utensils & equipment. Two real bedrooms, nice bathroom with plenty of hot water. Great location between Earls Court and High Street Kensington with good shopping & supplies nearby. Real standout though is the owner who worked to ensure that we were able to get in and out at convenient times. Patris is a pro and takes good care of his guests. Highly recommend and would happily stay at this flat or with this host again.

Super convenient location

Lovely property within reasonable walking distance to three underground stations. Comfortable furnishings, though there is not a dining table. Restaurants, pubs, and a grocery store all nearby. Patris responds quickly to all inquiries.

Great location

Our host, Patris, was welcoming and available to assist with any questions. The place offered plenty of room for our party of three. We will definitely stay again the next time we visit London. Do recommend using the Earls Court tube station. Lots of restaurants to chose from there and back and the walk gives you a great flavor of the neighborhood.

Kensington 2 bedroom flat.

The flat was a great representation of the photos posted. I wished Patris was a little more communicative before our arrival when i asked questions. We had neighbors upstairs that were loud with music etc from 12-3am which made for poor night sleep.

Girls Vacation

My two grown granddaughters and I spent a terrific week exploring London. This flat was in a perfect area for walking, catching trains, buses and the underground. Safe for walking at night. The flat itself was exactly what we needed. Lots of room for us to hang out or find a little spot for quiet time when grandma was exhausted from a day of sightseeing. It was the first time my granddaughters had been to London and having such a nice home away from home was a bonus. I would definitely recommend this flat especially for first time London visitors as the location made it easy for us to find our way around this wonderful city.

Perfect location for a London visit

Very clean, well appointed, and tastefully decorated flat in Kensington. Was very convenient to both Earl's Court and High Street Kensington Underground stations. Excellent breakfast and dinner locations right around the corner too. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Kensington

My wife, sister and I stayed at Patris' beautifully furnished apartment early in October, and it delivered just what was promised: handy to two Tube stations (Gloucester Rd and Earls Court), two supermarkets (Sainsbury's and Waitrose) and bus stops. Two bathrooms with showers was very welcome. Patris was a most charming host and helpful with any problems we had. There was even fresh fruit waiting for us when we arrived. The apartment is extremely comfortable and, while there is no particular designated dining area, we managed very well, having two cooked meals in the apartment (kitchen is adequately equipped) and the remaining four nights eating out either locally in Kensington or nearby Mayfair. Would highly recommend Patris' apartment to anyone who is visiting London.

Great location

The owner is very welcoming and obliging. The flat is exactly as pictured. The master bedroom is very tight and difficult to walk around the bed on one side and, in the kitchen, there are 3 steps down to the refrigerator and the top step is in the small kitchen and I found it a little hazardous. If we had stayed longer,, we would have gotten used to it but never spent enough time in the flat to adjust and I am a 70 year old. The bathroom sink is too large and the location of the faucet on it helped the water to flow over the back of it instead of down the drain so I had to be cautious. The living room and bedroom had lovely comfortable furniture and great televisions. The whole flat was beautifully decorated and more than adequately supplied. The location is superb and the owner could not have been nicer.

Wonderful flat for 4 travellers to London

Two couples spent 4 days in London and enjoyed this very convenient flat in the Kensington area. The owner had fresh fruit, flowers and croissants awaking us when we arrived. The fridge was also stocked with bottled water, milk, fresh eggs and butter. We had a wonderful and comfortable stay during our special and first time visit to London. Thank you, Patris, for your warm welcome to 4 Americans. We hope to return for another London experience.

Good location

We had a nice stay at this garden apartment in Kensington. Good location to catch the tube, short walk to Kensington Palace and Gardens, close to several museums as well. We felt very safe and enjoyed the kitchen quite a bit. The bathroom has everything you need but was a little small (compared to US) and the bed in the main bedroom was a little uncomfortable. We attempted to use the washer/dryer but had a slight issue getting our clothes to dry properly - despite following the directions. We also had an unfortunate water outage late one morning - believe it was due to the construction in the area. No matter, I would recommend this spot.
