Fabulous property, stunning views, old Spanish feel to the property, perfect
Wonderful property with great views and loads of space. Had everything we needed. Short but steep walk to loads of places to eat. Large garage but driving in Arcos “interesting”.
Magnificent house with spectacular point of view. The region is also gorgeous. We would like to return!
A wonderful home in Arcos de la Frontera
We had a wonderful holiday in Avelina's beautiful home in Arcos. The house is perched on the North edge of the City with spectacular views over the reservoir and beyond. There are several terraces from which to peacefully enjoy the view and watch the wild life fly around you.
The house was immaculately clean and it was lovely that the basics were already provided (soap, toilet paper, bin bags, olive oil, salt etc.).
As well as a small swimming pool (which our kids seemed to enjoy as much as any larger pool we have rented in previous holidays), there is also a very pleasant 'beach' on the reservoir, which is only 10 mins drive away.
The kitchen is well equipped and the entire house is furnished very tastefully.
A key feature is that there is a garage very close to the house. This is important as parking near the top of the town is hair-raising to say the least. Knowing we had somewhere to park every day made the stay even more comfortable.
Thank you Avelina, for letting us stay in your beautiful home.
Excellent property in a great location.
Great space and lovely terrace with fabulous views.
Quirky little house with amazing views
We stayed at this house to go to the local MotoGP near Jerez. It is the perfect location for this, easy access in and out of the town and a 20/25 min drive to the track. Every evening it was a joy to be returning, although the last part where you are allowed to go a one way street against traffic (as a resident) did terrify me at first. We quickly learned hoot the horn and drive on through, it’s only about 50 meters or so. The views from the terrace over the valley are stunning and although it loses the sun around 5ish, it is still very nice to sit outside and enjoy dinner and drinks well into twilight. On arrival Avelina had bread and coffee and tea and some lovely sherry waiting for us. She was very helpful giving us information on how to get to the track and where to shop and what to check out if we got the time. She is a lovely friendly lady. I loved the house and it’s quirkiness, a little room here, a couch there, it was very nicely done and felt very comfortable and homely from the start. As I said though my favorite was the terrace and that view, I had to be dragged away when leaving. The pool is small and not heated, more of a dipping pool. The temperatures weren’t quite high enough to enjoy for too long but I imagine in the middle of summer, this would be a godsend. Please be careful getting out as the stone steps become quite slippy when wet. Arcos itself is a series of winding tiny little streets. You never knew what you will wander upon around the next bend. It is rather steep so not for the faint of heart.
All in all a lovely little holiday, we would definitely stay again to explore the local area.
Very offer of TAPAS BARS
