The property, whilst quite rustic, was perfect as a base for a week of skiing with my family. The property was clean and as described in the advert. The host representative was friendly and helpful with advice.

Cute little chalet about 15 minutes walk from the main area of Alpe d'Huez (shops, restaurants, bars, etc.) Fantastic views. Was able to heat the entire chalet with one heater in the main room distributing heat throughout (in fact, we slept with windows open it was warm enough). 5 minute walk to the slopes, though needed to trudge up a snow bank to get to them. There is no ski locker, but we had a car so left the skis in the car. We didn't find the Huez lift busy (as others have said), but we were there early March (not during school holidays) so perhaps less people around.Linens and towels not included, so that is an extra cost. Deposit required, and expectation to clean the chalet, so take that into account. We weren't expecting that, and so had to adjust the last day schedule to do a general clean of the flat (this wasn't made clear when booking).Dishwasher for dishes, and lots of pots and pans for cooking.Beds are small, but comfortable. No Wifi (who doesn't have Wifi nowadays?). I got good coverage with my mobile (EE in UK), but others struggled and I had to hotspot them so they had some data.

Fijne plek, prachtig uitzicht.

We hebben een week heerlijk genoten in dit chalet. Elke ochtend wakker worden met zo'n uitzicht is geweldig. We werden fijn en flexibel ontvangen door de host. Er was een probleem met het water, dit is echter gelijk gefixt. Kortom, zeker waard om terug te keren.

Correct pour un chalet de ski

Le chalet n'est pas trop loin des pistes mais le trajet jusqu'au front de neige est long surtout avec le télécabine en bas de la station qui est assez lent. Le chaffage et l'isolation du chalet ne sont pas optimale pour les plus frileux. Les lits sont courts, les grands dorment avec les pieds dans le vide Sinon le reste est correct

Merci de ce commentaire. 3 réponses : -l'isolation, prévue depuis 3 ans, reste dépendante de la disponibilité des artisans. Mais il était possible de monter les 5 radiateurs à fond ( électricité comprise dans le prix), et surtout de me demander un radiateur supplémentaire. Je suis absolument désolée que certaines personnes puissent avoir froid. -A prévoir dans le futur, des lits de 2m à la place de 1,90m. - la remontée mécanique concernée, accessible à partir d'une piste située à 50m du chalet ( effectivement vieille de 30 ans ) sera remplacée pour l'hiver 2022-2023, ( retardée d'1 an , à cause de la pandémie ) . Mais, sachant cela, si la question est posée, je ne dis jamais que le chalet est situé au pied des pistes, mais à 15-20 minutes à pied, ou 5 minutes en voiture.

Prima locatie voor Alpe d’Huez

We zaten hier met een vriendengroep met z’n 8en. Dat was helemaal prima, maar ik zou er niet met 10 man in gaan. 10-15 minuten lopen naar de supermarkt. Uitgaan in Alpe d’Huez is op 15 min lopen, gelukkig kan je vanaf de apres ski via de piste terug skiën naar het chalet. Piste is op 100 meter afstand.

Nice chalet on edge of Alpe D'Huez town

Nice, comfortable chalet, about 15 mins walk to the centre of Alpe d'Huez (there is a shuttle bus, once per hour too). No Wi-Fi, but we didn't mind that. Amazing views and close enough to a slope that we could ski down to the next village and catch a cable car up to the main slopes (and ski back to near the chalet ) Would definitely stay again

Great chalet, exactly as described and both Christine the owner and Maryse who looks after the apartment couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend and when going back to Alpe d’Huez we’ll definitely be back here!

Un chalet atypique au panorama grandiose

Le chalet est situé dans une zone calme et résidentielle de la station, mais bénéficie néanmoins de nombreuses commodités à proximité : Boulangerie, location de skis, pistes, office de tourisme, supermarché... Il est tout à fait aisé de jouer le dépaysement jusqu'au bout, et de ne pas toucher à la voiture de la semaine. Le chalet propose tout le confort nécessaire pour passer un bon séjour. Il nécessiterait peut être une meilleure isolation acoustique. Mais au vu du panorama proposé, ainsi que de son charme, le jeu en vaut la chandelle, même pour un groupe de 10. A venir expérimenter

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour dans ce joli chalet qui offre une magnifique vue sur la vallée. + : chalet indépendant spacieux, vue sur vallée, balcon, nombre de couchages disponibles, proximité des pistes - : accès chambre du bas par l'extérieur, chambre du bas à rafraîchir, chauffage à améliorer, pas de wifi.

Accueil super, chalet très bien même si pas très propre à l'arrivée. Chalet chauffé à l'arrivée et personne de contact très aimable et disponible en cas de problème. Description tout à fait conforme, cuisine full équipée (même l'appareil à raclette est à disposition). Le seul point négatif est le chauffage aux radiateurs électriques: difficile de contrôler la chaleur et légère odeur de brûlé désagréable. Mais pas rébarbatif pour autant. On y retournerait sans hésiter...

Séjour très agréable malgrè le fait que l'accès au chalet n'était pas du tout déneigé. Nous avons ensuite pu profiter de tout le confort. Seul bémol le sous sol dont l'accès extérieur est un peu contraignant (vu les conditions météo) et les équipements de cette pièce étant en retrait par rapport au reste du chalet. Chalet à proximité des navettes gratuites et des pistes de skis pour retour et départ à skis.

"A clean, well equiped chalet which was a great place for a ski holiday. In a quiet location with access on and off the slopes either by bus to the main lift area or a ski run down to another lift. Beautiful views across the valley to the mountains.Easy parking right by the chalet.Owners and key-holder were helpful and friendly. I would recommend this chalet"

"We stayed in the Chalet ...

"We stayed in the Chalet for 3 weeks during Xmas and new year. As a party of 10 (6 adults, 4 teenagers) we had plenty of room with all the kids staying in the basement room. The chalet is very well equiped and clean. The location is in the old town on bend 20, during good snow conditions you can ski to bend 20 down the Huez ski run, otherwise you can easily use the slope that runs through the middle of the old town from the Signal and walk 10 minutes down hill. In the mornings there is a bus at the end of the road that stops at Les Bergers and the DMC. The view is spectacular, looking down the mountain to Bourg with views of Signal de L'Homme and Maronne. The old town has excellent night life, with the Yeti for Apres ski, the Igloo and Smithy's for late entertainment. Edelweiss is superb for food and our favourite Le Sporting just 15 minutes walk away - near the Ice rink. There is parking directly opposite the chalet and the road is cleared after heavy snow falls. I would definitley recommend this chalet for the ski season and for anyone interested in cycling as it is perfectly located to watch an ascent of the 21 bends !!!"
