The rental was everything it was advertised to be and more.Large enough for family to spread out but also cozy. The lake was perfect, not too busy and lots to do.Good to relax or talk or play on the water.
This lovely home on Thompson lake easily accommodated our 3 generation family reunion with 13 folks from 16 months to 79 years. The house was fully furnished with everything we might need, and beyond—bikes canoes kayaks etc., fully stocked kitchen etc. The owners were helpful in all respects. A great stay!
Great spot, everything was great. The neighbor dog duke is great and everybody loved him. If you want to meet him just fire up the grill, he will show up. Overall great vacation.
This is the ideal lake house! Sleeps large groups comfortably, plenty of room inside, and all amenities are new. Incredible view of the lake from the dock. This place has everything you will need. Kevin was communicative and helpful with the booking. Very enjoyable stay and I highly recommend to anyone looking for a getaway!
Was looking for a house on a lake for a weekend with friends and stumbled upon this gem. Pictures don’t do this place justice as this property was perfect. And to top it off the owners were very responsive, polite and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Such a well appointed house. Everything that we could possible need was there - and all high quality furnishings and fittings. Beatuiful lake, quiet and serene surroundings. This one is way better than the pictures! Great communications with host - this just made ofr a perfect family vacation.
Our extended family recently vacationed at this house and it was oh so wonderful!
The house was clean and well stocked with tons of extras for fun!
Thank you!
Absolutely perfect stay! Spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained lodge with quality furnishings, great A/C and Wi-Fi, and an effortless layout. The lakefront is outstanding — quiet, peaceful, and ideal for hours of watching and listening to the loons. Rain or shine, it’s a fantastic retreat. We’ve stayed all over Maine, NH, and beyond, and this is hands-down our favorite. Kevin was great to work with and made everything easy. Only disappointment? We didn’t get to meet the neighbors’ dogs! Already looking forward to coming back.
This home is very well appointed. The kitchen has great cookware, sharp knives, and a good variety of spices,( all uncommon in vacation rentals, so a lovely surprise). The beds are comfy, and we had comfy pillows as well. Multiple bathrooms is so nice when you have a crowd. There’s plenty to do inside in the evenings, and the layout is great for people with different interests, there’re places to sit quietly and
Great space for a large group. Lots of indoor and outdoor activities. Nice upgraded kitchen and appliances along with a nice outdoor grill. Plenty of room for all 15 people. We really enjoyed the company of the next door neighbors dogs. Very friendly. The owner was easy to work with and responsive. Highly recommend!!
Our group had a fantastic time in this great house. Lots of room to spread out and a great big dining room table for our meals. The lake is stupendous and we spent most of our 2 weeks in or on the lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you could possible want. The dock was amazing and the chairs come with a cup holder for our morning coffee. High end appliances and a top notch house. Can't wait to return to Lake Thompson.

Nice Property, not really lakefront
The booking, check in and check out process were seemless. This house is far up on a hill (~100 yards from the lake) and much of the view from the house is obscured by a dense tree line. The house is well appointed with almost too many things to keep track of. The lake is beutiful and the house fit our 14 guests well. If you are looking for a remote adventure and don't care about the perfect lakefront view, this is a good option.

Thanks for the review. Saying it's not really lakefront isn't really accurate. There is a clear view of the lake, dock and swimming area from the house and it's less than 200 feet to the lake to the top of the walkway. There are rules to taking down trees within 200 feet of the lake that we need to follow. We are having the trees trimmed this off season to widen the view to the right of the dock as much as allowed. Thanks so much for staying at our cabin. Come back anytime!
Everything was as described. We enjoyed our stay. Rented a boat and dock was great. House and cabin perfect for larger groups / families. Loved the visits from neighbors dogs. Because we had a rental of a pontoon boat we had a ladder for ease of access into and out of lake. That would be only suggestion / add a ladder to dock area so that the over 50 year old crew can get in and out of lake better. 😎
Home was well maintained and both owners and property management company were very responsive. Thank you so much for helping our family to make great memories.
Book as soon as you can as this lake house has everything. Smooth experience all around with booking, checking in, and checking out. Clean cool lake that is great for all water activities. Will be back!
We had a fabulous stay on Thompson Lake! The house came stocked with all the necessities. We enjoyed cooking in the well-equipped kitchen and playing games on the large dining room table. There were plenty of beds for our large extended family and the lake was gorgeous! We took advantage of the provided kayaks and spent many hours swimming, fishing and kayaking. Overall, a great experience!
We had an amazing stay. This is a huge, beautiful cabin. The separate bunkhouse is also amazing. We had a few unavoidable issues that were dealt with promptly by the owner. Highly recommended and plan to return in the future!
We have rented lake houses in the past for our family reunions but this house and this lake were by far the best. Our hosts were helpful and welcoming and the house had every comfort and amenity we could want to entertain adults, teenagers and one 7 year old. With the addition of a boat that we rented at the nearby marina, we were busy all week, swimming, tubing, water skiing, making s'mores and playing games around the huge table at night. A highlight: The kids loved the friendly neighbor's dogs and she kindly invited them over to see the many animals she keeps.
Our family fully enjoyed the Haley Cabin.
It offered plenty of space for multiple activities inside and out.
The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, spices and supplies.
The number of water craft and life vests was outstanding as we had 9 adults including a couple of fisherman. We appreciated the tube and tow line when we rented a boat.
We also enjoyed the fire pit in the evening.
Great spot!
I can't say enough good things about this property. It had everything you could need and then some. Thank you to the Haley's for such a well kept, comfortable, and exciting place to stay.
