Sandpiper is getting an upgrade for 2026! We have moved Sandpiper East of Eagle's nest up higher with even better views. A new 16x32 covered deck! Hot tub and grill, dining relaxing chairs are all up on the deck. Getting close to some interium pictures on how it will look and the views! It's really amazing, you'll love it this year.

Beautiful view over hot brook canyon.

King size master, bunk room with double and single beds. Sofa bed in living room for 1. Sleeps 6 total.

Brand new deck just added, for the hot tub and nice place to sit and relax.

Let us know if you would like the 4 person hot tub during your visit.

Nice large bathroom and shower, fireplace, 39in popup tv with prime streaming, dinning table inside and outside under the 20ft awning.

Lots of big windows to enjoy the canyon views throughout your entire stay.

Ac, stove, frig, WiFi... All the comforts of home. Coffee pot is a combo Keurig / drip.

Enjoy everything from beautiful sunrises to amazing sunsets.

Rv is parked in a secluded area in the trees close to the cliff, but still easy to get to with a car or motorcycle and well hidden from the main house.

Please remember this is a RV/Camping experience, the RV does have AC, but in the hot summer months we can not guarantee the RV will be as cool as your home. The nights typically drop down in the 50's/60s even in the summer, so with open windows, it usually is very comfortable sleeping.

Nice place if you understand that RV living is cramped. Road up from town is a negative. Relaxing surroundings and view are great. Hot Springs is a little outside the most touristy area but has the necessary restaurants and sopping.

Evan's Cliff is simply AMAZING! Patricia and Wayde are wonderful hosts and have thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. The view, hot tub, fire pit, grill, beautiful deck, comfortable beds and the well stocked camper all make for our favorite place to visit. Not to mention Hot Springs has become our home away from home. A wonderful little town with lots to do. This was our 4th visit to the cliff with many more to come!

We had an amazing time for our 2nd trip to South Dakota and the property is absolutely beautiful as always. So happy we could spend a few days with our daughter on this trip before moving her back to college.. she absolutely loves visiting south dakota. Wade and Patricia you are the best!! Amazing view! We spent our first day just enjoying the hot tub and sitting on the deck. The drive up to the trailer, up a dirt road, at first was a little interesting, but Wade and Pat sent a very informative video with directions to and about it. We were lucky that our GPS took us right there.The trailer is very well equipped, with everything needed. An extra plus, the coffee maker is a dual-brew, can use either grounds or pods for your favorite coffee.Had a wonderful stay. Being there is so relaxing, making the whole rat-race world seem far away! We highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great getaway!

The place was perfect and was even great to allow dogs to stay. Saw so much wildlife around the property and the view was gorgeous. Even watched a thunderstorm rolling in over the mountains. There was no problem with checking in or out. There are other buildings close by but still felt like you were in your own little piece of heaven.

We had a wonderful time at Evan’s Cliff. Our RV was perfect for our needs, very clean and comfortable. The view was amazing and the hot tub was the icing on the cake! This was a wonderful experience. We loved the private space and accommodations to explore the area. The area was beautiful, with a nice deck and seats to overlook the nearby cliff, see all the beautiful scenery, and enjoy the stars. We stayed a week and weren't ready to leave.

The RV provides enough space for family of 4. The Bathroom was spacious, and hot tub on deck was a plus. The kitchen had all you needed to make and serve meals. We loved the privacy and the view of the surrounding land. The night sky is the best view of all.

Great stay!

It was a fantastic place to stay! Well appointed and very comfortable. The views were amazing and the outdoor space is perfect to hang out on all day. The only issue we had was the shower didnt have any water pressure so we resorted to wash cloths for bathing.

We are a product of on online dating. Patricia moved from MN to the Northern Hills in 1979. Wade was born in Spearfish, but was living in Colorado, counting days until the next time he could get back the 'The Hills'.

Why they chose this property

When we found the property online, we fell in love with the house... and Wade the shop. But after we came to see it in person and walked to the cliff... well, it was just amazing. You have to see it in person to understand. Everyday, we tell our 3 dogs and 3 cats, 'we are going to the cliff' and we all take a hike together, stopping just to sit and look. Seems like every hike, we see something new, we never noticed before.

So nice here, we had our wedding at the cliff edge in 2012. We have a hard time figuring out where to 'go' for a vacation... we feel we are living in our perfect vacation spot and now we have discovered that we really enjoy sharing our favorite spot and the chance to meet new friends in the process.

What makes this property unique

We want every guest to feel right at home and provide everything you could ever need. We treat our guests as family... that traveled from across the country and have what they need to relax and prepare for the best vacation possible. We know most families only get 1 or 2 vacations a year, we are very honored to be a part of that experience.
