This was one of the most amazing houses! It was so well appointed, clean, had everything we needed and the views were endless! Kim was an excellent host and I appreciated all her communication and kindness! I will recommend this place to everything I know with large groups and cannot wait to return!

This house was perfect for our family gathering. The sunsets looking over the water were breathtaking, and our dogs had the best time on the beach. It was so roomy and cozy, with super thoughtful elements throughout. The kitchen is truly fully stocked, we were able to cook meals for the whole family each night. Amenities were plentiful, the pool table and various sitting areas made it so that everyone had a place to feel comfortable. And the location! Not only is Manzanita beautiful, but you’re only a short drive from Canon Beach, or our favorite, the Tillamook Factory! We will definitely be coming back!

An older home with well done upgrades without destroying the character of the home. Very well appointed and supplied kitchen. Great view. Nice quiet beach. Very roomy with lots of space to hang out. Great place for a larger group.

Reed House Stay

We stayed 5 days, enjoyed cooking, family meals walks to the beach, fabulous view, pingpong, pool (billiards), beautiful spaces and rooms. Nearby small town was great.

Fantastic home

Perfect beach house for a large group

A long family weekend went perfectly at this lovely waterfront house. Lots of space and different areas in the house to enjoy. Teens loved the pool table and adults loved the kitchen! Super successful rental experience.

An Amazing Coastal Escape

I booked this house for my husband‘s 40th birthday and had an amazing time, there’s so much space for people to enjoy. The views from the living room can’t be beat and the access to the beach was a huge plus. Kim was a fantastic communicator and gave me all the information necessary prior to my arrival and check-in and check out an easy affair.

Manzanita sunshine!

We love this property! Plenty of space for everyone to relax in their own way AND spaces that accommodate large groups together. The house has everything you need to cook and relax onsite. The beach is gorgeous and the surrounding atmosphere of a small town refreshing!

We loved our stay at this beautiful historic property. The location and view is amazing! Love the generous outdoor spaces and the warm and romantic interior space. Great kitchen and fantastic place to enjoy all that Neahkahnie has to offer. Loved it!

My wife’s 50th birthday party

It was a beautiful old house that has had a very thoughtful and warm and inviting remodel. All of us were super pleased with the place and location. Very comfortable and fun and relaxing. Will definitely keep it on the short list for future beach gatherings.

Wonderful Week

Our entire extended family (15) stayed at the Reed home this last week. House was well located next to the beach. Also, in easy driving distance to Tillamook (Ice Cream), Seaside, Cannon Beach and Astoria. Experienced multiple great hikes. Had some southern California hikers and they were impressed. Would recommend this property. Two of our group were architects and they were very interested in the redo of this historic home.

The photos don't do it justice!

This house pretty much has it all! Great layout and amenities- the open concept kitchen was so fun to cook in. The mix of vintage and modern is really fun. It was fantastic for a larger group and would even be good for corporate gatherings. The bunk rooms look perfect for kids but less so for an all adult crew (which we were). The neighborhood is lovely but it's a bit of a walk to town. And a hot tub would make it perfect! Highly recommend! But be on the look out for undisclosed fees from VRBO!

Amazing beach front house!

Going into this house with nearly 20 people to accommodate, I was sure it would get cramped really quickly, but I was wrong! This house is so spacious, comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms were huge and roomy for a family to bathe multiple children. Beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was amazing, with plenty of counter space, appliances, and storage. We really didn't find we needed anything that wasn't supplied. We had children of all ages in the house, and felt it was pretty child proof (minus the stairs, but what stairs are). On day 5, I did not want to leave! I can't wait to go back, soon hopefully!

Thanks! It’s wonderful to hear your family loved it. As I mentioned, I grew up coming to Manzanita when my parents built our vacation house. They were the best memories of my childhood. Eric and I had hoped to pass that on to other families, and it makes us feel great when that happens. Our hope is that when families return regularly to spend vacations at our oceanside Manzanita beach houses, they feel like the houses are their very own vacation homes!

wonderful place for a big group

The house was fantastic - plenty of room for a big family group and all very comfortable. Pool, ping pong table, big room and screen for video watching, fire pit - all fantastic. Beach access amazing and star gazing on the big deck was excellent. Comfie areas to hang out and big dining table that fit everyone. My only issue was that after reading all the information and then signing a multi-page rental agreement, it was not until the day before our arrival that I received notice that we could only have 1 dog stay at the house. It was just lucky that the two other dogs that I thought were going to be with us stayed at home that weekend. Kind of late notice to impart that kind of information for a house advertised as "dog friendly." But other than the potential dog issue, it was a great weekend.

Regarding the dog issue, the guest inputs how many pets one wishes to bring during the VBRO booking process on the VRBO website. The information is then sent to us. When we send the email the information check-in packet, we reiterate how many pets a guest has indicated they are bringing. If the number that was specified during the booking process has changed or is incorrect, it is an easy fix, as mentioned in your case. We respond properly to messages and are here to answer any questions you might have. Otherwise, I am happy you had a fun vacation, and hope you took home lots of wonderful memories!

A wonderful home for a family reunion

We had a family reunion celebrating my folks 90th birthdays and everyone had a wonderful time. There were 20 of us of all ages. The home was very clean, plenty of room and met most all our needs. The kitchen is well stocked, furniture and beds comfy. The major problem was the shower on the lower floor which we could not get any cold water. Also both sinks in that bathroom were slow to drain. The landscapers had left a pile of debris in the parking area, making it difficult to park. The upper door is definitely hard to lock and unlock, which was in the welcome packet. But all in all, we loved the home, and recommend it.

Thanks Patti! We're so pleased you wrote a glowing note to let us know what a great time everyone had, and that you and your family couldn't imagine a better house to gather in! As I mentioned at that time, we had no idea the new Hansgrohe thermostatic rain shower had temperature control issues, and most importantly we are available to our guests around the clock to help with any issues. If contacted during your stay we could have rectified the situation. The shower is getting cold water - just not enough in the case of someone wanting a cool shower. But don't worry, a replacement was ordered as soon as we heard of the issue from you. The sinks are vintage, and that's the way they work, even with new plumbing and faucets. Those Andersen wood doors do have unique locking mechanisms, which is why we offer instructions to our guests as you mentioned. Lastly, now sure where the 2' x 4' stack of tree limbs to the north of the driveway came from, but luckily there was still plenty of room to fit nine cars in the driveway. Incredible House!!!

Great large family vacation home! Absolutely gorgeous views, and perfect location. The incredible beach is just across the street. A very easy walk. Great deck space with lots of chairs outside to enjoy the view and the incredible sunsets The kitchen rocks! Extremely well stocked. We have never seen such well stocked rental kitchen. Which was amazing, since we had most of our meals at home.The two dishwashers were key!Very comfortable beds & linens. Comfy furniture. This house was well suited to our extended family of eight adults and four young children. Five bathrooms next to all bedrooms, nice kitchen with two dishwashers and large dining table with room for all. Our stay at Reed House was fantastic!  The house is welcoming, so well stocked, easy beach access with incredible views.  We made many family memories during our visit and hope to rebook in the future.  With kids and pets in our entourage, a latch gate at the top of the deck would be a nice addition.  Five stars!!

My family and friends gathered for my 60th birthday. We had a magical time. The kitchen provides more amenities than one could possibly hope for. Everyone had their own space to be, the beds and linens are very comfortable, the dining table seated all of us beautifully, the large wrap around deck provides a nook for everyone. The views and beach access are to die for. We loved the big fireplace, the fire pit, pool table and ping pong table! I couldn’t have asked for a better home with a better vibe to celebrate. Thank you.
