Master BR with king-sized bed and large ensuite bathroom with glass-walled shower; two more spacious bedrooms, each with queen-sized bed; and one bedroom with twin bed. All BRs are on second floor. The three smaller BRs share a full bath. Propane fireplace; air conditioning; heating system. Expansive lawns and colorful gardens. Large deck with magical views of mountains and meadows; propane grill, outdoor glass-topped table with eight chairs, four easy chairs, and coffee tables.. Open floor plan with views and southern light in every room: fully equipped cook's kitchen overlooking dining room, which flows into living room, which opens into sunroom with 55" television, couch, and two marvelous easy chairs. 1st floor lavatory. Wi-fi. Outdoor hot and cold shower. Built 1991; renovated 2012. 2500 square feet. Towels, linens included.

John is a retired Middlebury College professor, business owner [founder of Vermont Bicycle Touring, aka VBT], and Vermont state legislator. Kathryn, formerly a banker, is a message therapist and yoga instructor. We have two wonderful, adult sons, who now live elsewhere.
Why they chose this property
You will love this home -- indoors and out -- because it is beautifully furnished, quiet, comfortable, and overlooks flower gardens, hay fields, and the Green Mountains. It's a gorgeous home in every season. A perfect place to read and relax -- indoors or on the panoramic deck. Safe and excellent walking, running, bicycling, and cross country skiing right out our the door. Tennis, golf, pickleball, downhill skiing, and sailing nearby. Four and a half miles to Middlebury College and charming Middlebury village with restaurants, shops, theaters, museums, excellent public library, historic architecture, and special events.
