Very quiet place without being isolated. Friendly neighbourhood, convenience nearby, food stores, farm with fresh local products, doctors, hospital, reach in cultural visits. Very easy to move around thanks to public transport and the pick-me application.
Breakfast is provided every morning and included in the price. The house is spacious and very well lit, pleasant to live with its many relaxation corners. The temperate climate of Kandy and the house with its high ceilings does not require air conditioning, we have favored fans in each room to preserve the environment. Well equipped for cooking, daily maintenance, wifi is available for 50 GB.
If you have children they will love to cool off in the sunny swimming pool maintained by a professional.
Sakunthala who lives downstairs is always ready to do a favor and even to prepare some meal at your request and according to your taste.

The place is like a paradise, especially for someone who loves nature. Gorgeous views from house and big terrace as well. The decent size of the pool is really refreshing after long tours. The pool is like infinitypool. So close to the edge with fantastic hill view. Unique furniture and historical decor that attracts us by it own charm. The temperature inside the house is perfect due to the high ceiling. No AC need at all. The house is huge with tons of rooms, bedrooms, bathrooms, showers, sitting areas, and humangous dining room. Nights can be a bit tricky/ noisy due to chickens and hen. Still, i believe that it is a very charming and embarrassing uniqueness of the place. My rate is 10 out of 10

Long séjour de 5 semaines, entre 5 amis, chacun notre chambre! Très spacieux!!! Facilités pour rejoindre Kandy Ville! Bus pickme etc… Service taxi avec leurs recommendations. Puis sans oubliés, Sakun et soriya, tout le temps près de nous! Nous étions une magnifique famille au milieu du Sri Lanka! Merci à Ariyam et Aude de nous en faire profiter

Amazing property

We had a very enjoyable stay in this property - there were six adults, a baby and a toddler of 3 yrs and we had plenty of room! Sakunthala was an excellent cook and we particularly enjoyed her wonderful curries. She also helped us with ordering taxis and gave very valuable advice about travelling in the local area. Thank you Saku and Ariyam for answering our many questions.

Beautiful house with great views

Very nice, spacious house in a great location on the Mahaweli river. We really enjoyed the view from the various terraces on the river and the mountains. The house is well looked after and on site Sakunthala is an excellent host and cook. If we return to Kandy, we will definitely book this house again.

A wonderful property for visiting Kandy. The house was clean and spacious and the pool an added bonus. The housekeeper was superb and provided lovely breakfasts and was friendly and welcoming. The only earring is the access road is steep and normal vehicles may have difficulty getting back up it. This shouldn’t detract from the property however and was only a minor issue.

House made and decorated with taste. Full confort. No airco and that’ s ok. Sakundala, who welcomes you in the house, make your rental alive (and cooks very well). Easy connections to Kandy (25 minutes of bus or touktouk)

wer etwas ruhe in der hektischen stadt kandy sucht, ist hier genau richtig. den ganzen tag bestens umsorgt von einer netten haushälterin. für sri lanka - verhältnisse eine tolle unterkunft. der telefonisch erreichbare "boss" steht immer mit rat und tat und vermittlung zur seite

un séjour très agréable

Nous avons particulièrement aimé ces 8 jours passés dans une très jolie et vaste maison décorée avec beaucoup de bon goût, extrêmement confortable. Nous avons pû rejoindre Kandy ou même le jardin botanique par le bus qui passe non loin de la maison et tres régulièrement pour un prix défiant toute concurrence. La cerise sur le gâteau c'est la présence et la gentillesse de Soukoutoula qui nous a préparés des petits déjeuners et dîners fantastiques. Nous n'oublierons jamais cet endroit magique surtout quand il fait beau

Superbe maison avec panorama sur les montagnes

Sommes restés 18 jours à Kandy dans cette maison vaste et fonctionnelle..en plus, au calme puisque éloignée de quelques kilometres de Kandy, ville bruyante et polluée. Bien entendu, un moyen de transport est necessaire pour visiter la ville et ses monuments mais surtout les environs superbes..Il s' 'avere que le proprietaire de la villa s' est attaché les services d'un driver de Tuk tuk aussi sur que bon guide...Dans ces conditions, et lebeau temps aidant, le séjour ne nous a jamais paru long... En résumé, une adresse à recommander

Aux petits soins dans une ambiance familiale

Charmante maison aux dimensions généreuses qui nous a fait passer quelques jours dans un cadre verdoyant avec une superbe vue sur les collines environnantes. La maison est à quelques kilomètres de Kandy, un emplacement idéal quand on souhaite un peu de repos après le tumulte de la ville. Nous avons largement utilisé le bus pour nous rendre à Kandy (15-25 roupies), ce qui permet de discuter tes facilement avec les habitants du coin. Le nec plus ultra reste la possibilité de manger sur place. La personne qui garde la maison, outre le fait d'être super accueillante, nous a concocté des petits plats locaux qui vous titillent les papilles ! On en redemande !!!

Séjour très agréable dans cette grande maison. L'espace est un vrai luxe !

Le confort de cette maison, loin des nuisances de la ville en font un vrai havre de paix avec une belle vue sur la rivière et les montagnes. Le petit déjeuner offert avec la location est copieux et délicieux.

Excellente adresse

La maison est très grande et fort agréable, avec un jardin arboré, loin du tumulte de la ville. La vue est très belle , sur les hauteurs de Kandy. Sakuntala, la dame qui s'occupe de la maison est d'une grande gentillesse et a été bienveillante à notre égard. Ses petits déjeuners étaient délicieux et elle nous a mitonné de bons petits plats le soir. Très bon emplacement pour visiter le triangle culturel Les propriétaires ont été à l'écoute et d'une aide efficace.Nous les en remercions Nous recommandons vivement cette maison. Excellent rapport qualité prix

Oasis of calm just outside Kandy

Huge, peaceful villa directly overlooking the river, with stunning views. The house is easily big enough for two families and we have spent many pleasant mornings and afternoon sitting on the verandah watching tropical birds, the monkeys and the local mongoose. The house has four floors. In the two weeks we've been here, the vast upper deck has become our reading and painting area and the spacious light-filled lower room our yoga studio. The bedrooms are airy and comfortable and there is TV and wifi in the common living area. Saku our cook and housekeeper cooks fabulous breakfasts and vegetarian curries and was happy to give us a cooking lesson. Jerome the driver is jovial and obliging - arranging trips by tuk tuk into Kandy and surrounds, or by van to Sygiria, Pollunaruwa or Haputale. Altogether a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning!

Bonne base pour Kandy

Maison très vaste et agréable avec des propriétaires accessibles et réactifs en réponse à nos questions. Les photos parlent d'Éole mêmes sur la qualité des lieux et du paysage aux alentours. Nuit calme. Le grand intérêt de la maison c'est Sakuntala qui s'occupe des repas, son fils a été adorable avec nos enfants. Et surtout Jérôme grâce à qui nous avons fais de très belles excursions, loin des foules, selon nos envies. Disponible, à l'écoute nous avons beaucoup échangé sur le pays, les métiers... gens. Il a de très bonnes qualités et une grande sensibilité pour faire le job de guide/chauffeur/accompagnateur. Vraiment à recommander, très bon contact.

Maggnifique semaine de découverte de Kandy !

Un enchantement! Beauté et fonctionnalité de la maison, qualité de l'accueil, situation, vue, gentillesse du service, tout a concouru a faire de notre séjour un merveilleux moment de détente et de plaisir. Transportés pendant toute la durée de notre séjour en tuk-tuk par Jérôme (en quelque sorte le collaborateur attitré des propriétaires) et son complice (nous étions 5 adultes, donc 2 engins), nous avons effectué la totalité des trajets à Kandy et alentours avec ce chauffeur et guide exceptionnel et attentif à nos moindres souhaits, y compris le défi de trouver un gâteau d'anniversaire et les bougies et autres accessoires fantaisistes... Renoncez à la voiture et ne ratez pas l'occasion de vous déplacer de cette façon. Même si cela peut s'avérer fatiguant sur les (très) longs trajets, les conseils et les astuces de Jérôme sont incontournables pour réussir chaque excursion et découvrir quelques joyaux hors des sentiers battus. Précision: Le trajet de la maison au centre de Kandy prend une dizaine de minutes en tuk-tuk, c'est le moyen le plus pratique. La maison, spacieuse, bien tenue, grande, offre de nombreuses possibilités de se détendre. En terrasse pour le plein soleil direct, dans les petits salons de lecture, dont un face au paysage grandiose de la vallée du Mahaweli, dans le salon principal face au mur de rocher où sont peintes de fidèles copies des princesses du rocher du lion de Sigyryia. Le service (à la demande) est assuré avec discrétion et efficacité par Sakunthala, qui cuisine parfaitement toute spécialité et ne se départit jamais de sa gentillesse et de sa disponibilité. Il n'y a quasiment pas de moustiques, quelques rares singes (fermer les fenêtres en cas d'absence), en résumé, une semaine idéale et le projet de renouveler notre séjour sur place dès que possible. Un plus important: les propriétaires sont toujours disponibles pour prodiguer de bons conseils et nous ont aidé à préparer notre voyage grâce à quelques conseils avisés. Une location à recommander sans hésiter.

séjour trés agréable

Nous avons passé 2 jours dans cette magnifique maison qui malheureusement d après nous manque un peu d entretien. Fuite dans salle de bain, mauvais fonctionnement chasse d eau. Dommage car très bel endroit qui mérite d être connu, proche du temple de la dent. Belle vue. Nous avons même profité de la piscine de l hôtel. La dame qui s occupe de la maison est discrète mais toujours là pour rendre service et vous concocte de bons petits plats. Aucun bruit la nuit appréciable.

"Nous apportons un soin très particulier à l'entretien de notre maison et sommes très exigeants et attentifs à chaque détail. Le système du WC qui venait juste d'être cassé était en cours de réparation et la pièce avait été commandée. Ce WC sera donc réparé dans les plus brefs délais."
