Vacation Stay

Our group of four was in Cascais for four nights. The stay was lovely. Clean, easy check in/out, and great location for restaurants and beaches that are all within easy walking distances!

Charming appt

Great appt , tastefully decorated. Centrally located to restos, bars ,and beach. Would rent again. Henrique was a pleasure to deal with and also accomodating.

The apartment was clean, well-stocked, and in an amazing central location (walkable to beaches and restaurants and stores). The beds were very comfortable and we appreciated having two pillows each. Henrique checked us in himself, and he was very welcoming and helpful.

Friend’s Trip

This apartment is the perfect location to stroll the streets of Cascais. There are plenty of shops and restaurants right there. Henrique even helped set up an airport transfer and also private transportation to the Sintra palaces for the day. Thank you!

Wonderful apartment!

The apartment looks like it does in the listing photos and is in a great location, you can walk to a ton of restaurants, museums and the beach. Henrique is a wonderful host and easy to communicate with. Our family would stay here again if we are ever lucky enough to come back to the area.

This was a taste of luxury. The apartment is very comfortable, central and well equipped. We enjoyed staying in a historic property and the owner has made every effort to maintain the feel of this apartment. The four of us really enjoyed staying here.

Great Location

We enjoyed Henrique's property even if it is a little dated. New A/C is coming and that will really help. The location is central to everything; lots of great restaurants, the beach, the train station, and a number of really nice nature walks.

The flat is better than the pictures depict. The flat is 1 block to everything and still quiet. Henrique is a great host…responsive and very informative. I am also a short term rental owner and I learned many good tips from Henrique to be a better host

Charming Cascais

Generous and helpful host. Location was more than we hoped for. Few minutes to the beach area, train station and shops. An added surprise was the lively Jardim Visconde da Luz across the street with antique market and merry-go-round. A wonderful way to discover Cascais.

Great apartment in super, central location.

This apartment was easily within walking distance to restaurants, shops, the ocean, and sights. We had plenty of room for our family of three, good sized bedrooms, large kitchen, and lovely living/dining area. Henrique was a great host, very professional and thorough. Thanks for everything!

Wonderful!

Loved our stay at Casa da Fonte! Great location. Clean, very quiet and comfortable apartment. Had everything you need. Beds very comfortable. Bathroom was fine for us but some guests might find it a little on the cosy side. Henrique and Filipa were very welcoming and super responsive to questions we had during our stay. Had a wonderful stay in Cascais and would rent this property again!

Location Perfect downtown Cascais

Just wanted a relaxing base for a friend and to wander to beach and to the local restaurants. This was perfect. I used to live in Cascais soo know it well and the location was ideal for everything. Very clean, had all we needed including Netflix! It’s overlooking the children’s carousel in the centre of the main street and virtually next door to a great Padaria for breakfast. They even left a welcome package with milk, wine and some paste-is de nata ( how lovely!) . On my list of places to return to.

Beyond Charming

My stay (6weeks) was more than I could have dreamed. Casa da Fonte-Jardim felt like home. It’s perfectly located in Cascais with restaurants, grocery stores, language schools, banks/ATMs, the beach and so much more located not far from the apartment, which meant a lot to me as I was recovering from back surgery and walking long distances just wore me out. I especially appreciated the thoughtfulness that Sr Silva took in arranging the apartment with appliances, products, conveniences and even fresh flowers to insure every guest’s needs were met. I highly recommend Casa da Fonte, for any length of stay.

A Beautiful Gem

Charming Historical Portuguese home but with modern conveniences. Beautifully decorated with many details so it was like being in someone’s home, rather than a spartan rental. The location is the best—next to the charming Jardem Visconti de Luz, the train station and many shops and restaurants. An easy walk to a number of Cascais beaches and just about a mile walk or short train ride to Estoril. Filipa was very helpful and accommodating with regard to check out and check in. She also made a special trip on Sunday evening to fix the internet which she was able to do!

We were happy with the apt although it was noisy at night

Enrique was very friendly and helpful and very concerned about our noise complaints ( which he had heard from others also). The apt was charming, clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable and the bed pillows were great! Very spacious and well decorated apt which was close to everything. Even though there was no air conditioning the apt was cool as long as you could keep the windows open at night. We did suggest to Enrique that it was time to update the bathroom!

Great Location

Very nice place in center of town. Very old building, so pleasantly surprised there was air conditioning in the bedrooms. Bathroom very small. I had to turn my body to use the toilet. Beds were on the soft side for my tastes.
