Between Avignon, Mont Ventoux, the Luberon and Alpilles, Pernes is a small bustling town. Within 30 to 40 km you can admire some Provencal villages (Gordes, Roussillon, Venasque, Bedoin ...), the island sur la Sorgue (renamed by its Provencal market on Sunday and antique shops), the Alpilles ( leases and St Remy de Provence), the Fountain of Vaucluse, Avignon and its festival in July. Wine lovers can browse the wine route of the Rhone valley (Chateauneuf du pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Cairanne ...) and the dimensions of the Ventoux.
