Forget all the troubles in this beautiful antique winery transformed into house and surrounded by green lands cultivated in vineyard and fruit groves.

The house has been reconstructed using organic materials so that the air you breathe inside this house is healthy while the garden has been organic since times immemorial.

Truly calm and relaxing place, away from traffic but only minutes from the biggest attractions like the sea, Etna or Taormina. The surface of the house is 100 m2 and most of it is an almost open space so the house is best suited for a family or a small group of close friends.

This pink house is all built of lava stone which lets it be naturally cool in the summer and warm in winter. This rustic was used for squeezing the juice from the grapes, here the fruit was taken during the ‘vendemia’.

Animals and children are always welcome and accepted.

Beautiful, calm place. Lost paradise

We really enjoyed stay in this beautiful house. Owner was very helpful during all our stay. Everything you need is in short distance by car. (Car is absolutely necessary). We booked the tour over the crators near Etna with the owner and it was perfect - i recommend it. Owner knows so much and was able to answer even the trickiest questions of my kids 😉 thank you.

A tranquil Etna hideaway

We loved our week staying at this charming property on the lower slopes of Mt Etna. This was a return visit for myself and my wife who stayed at the Old Winery 5 years ago, but this time we enjoyed the space and relaxed atmosphere with our twin boys who loved exploring the huge garden in particular. The house is a delightful blend of character and history, but with a contemporary open plan feel. It's very well equipped and has good wifi. Thick stone walls keep things feeling cool in the heat of the day This is a great base to explore Etna, Taormina and the beautiful hill top villages in the rugged north east of the island, and we had no problems in reaching Enna, Syracusa and Ragusa too

Lovely getaway in the countryside

We travel with 2 children and one labrador dog and we always look for quiet and authentic places away from crowds and mass tourism. The house is lovely, in a beautiful environment. It is a countryside house, old building, authentic and has its own personality. No TV which is perfect. Everything you need is in the house. Natalie is a perfect host, she is very available, provides useful information for visits and she even told us when Etna was going to erupt. We will certainly come back for a new visit as we have not yet finished exploring the area !!!

Romantic place close to Etna

A romantic, cosy and lived-in marvel - a place not only used to rent off to tourists, but evidently also lived in - with books, movies, even video games, and a garden in which fruit (wine) is grown. Built from a former winery, resulting in a large room with different levels, open to a kitchen and a chamber that leads into the bathroom, which is extended by an outdoor shower. The terrace directly in front of the house is for the afternoons, and for breakfast, there is a table under the shade of a large tree. When we arrived Etna had just spat its dust, which was on the roads everywhere, and in the garden the chairs sank into the fresh layer of lava sand when you sat on them. A supermarket is about 1 km away, and there are several smaller produce vendours - it feels like you can live off produce alone. The Fiumefreddo beach is about 15 minutes to drive, and it is less than 30 minutes to Taormina. Especially the Etna Nord point is close, but also the drive to Etna Sud is easy. It seemed as if, at the end of July, there were weddings all around, giving the churches a special festive look. Communications with the host were excellent.

Schönes Haus mit großem pflegebedürftigen Garten

Es ist ein wirklich sehr charmantes Haus mit einem tollen Bezug zu der Region um den Ätna, wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Es bleibt dennoch einiges zu tun (feststehender Fensterladen / Außenlampe)Was wir jedoch vermisst haben, dass sind funktionierende Sitzgelegenheiten im Außenbereich und ein bisschen mehr Schatten auf der Terrasse. Wir haben viel unter einem der vielen Bäume gesessen, was auch sehr schön war - nur nicht auf den vorhanden Metallstühlen. Der neue Schirm hat uns leider nicht genügend Schatten geboten, die Liege an der Seite des wirklich großen und tollen Grundstücks ist vollkommen unbrauchbar und auch die Sitzgruppe aus Holz müsste dringend ausgetauscht werden. Wir waren froh unsere Camping Möbel dabei gehabt zu haben, auf denen wir länger entspannt sitzen konnten. Wenn ein Grill zur Ausstattung gehört, sollte dieser nicht durchrostet sein.Das der Garten etwas unaufgeräumt war und auch drinnen einiges nicht richtig sauber war (Gläser und Töpfe) ist sicherlich der kurzfristigen Buchung geschuldet, nur wussten wir das nicht und können dieses bei unserer Wahrnehmung nicht unberücksichtigt lassen.Mit ein weinig Aufwand lässt sich das Haus auch im Außenbereich zu einem wirklichen Erlebnis machen.

Freundliches Landhaus mit Garten und Umgebung

Der Aufenthalt war sehr schön, das Haus ist freundlich und ordentlich, nach dem Geschmack der Vermieterin eingerichtet. Anfang April kann es evtl. noch kühl sein im Haus, auch wenn bei uns das Wetter gut und warm war. Es gibt ein großes Zimmer, dass in die Küche übergeht und noch ein kleines Zimmer und ein schönes Bad. Der Garten ist groß und entspannend, die Umgebung mit Ätna, Catania, Syrakus und Taormina schön und gut erreichbar. Wir würden wieder hier übernachten.

Wir verstehen die guten Bewertungen nicht

Wir haben uns auf Grund der guten Bewertungen für dieses Haus entschieden und dies leider bereut. Nathalie ist eine sehr nette Gastgeberin, aber das Haus war leider ein totaler Flop für uns. Als wir ankamen ist uns erstmal aufgefallen wie dreckig es im Haus und auch vermüllt im Garten war, weshalb wir erstmal das Bad und die Küche gereinigt und den Rest des Hauses gesaugt und gewischt. Nach den ersten mal wischen in der Küche war das Wasser fast schwarz. Nathalie tat dies auch sehr leid und auf Nachfrage haben wir etwas Geld für unsere Unannehmlichkeiten erstattet bekommen. Auch sind die Matratzen nicht nur sehr dünn gewesen, sondern benötigen auch dringends eine Reinigung, es war einfach nur ekelig. Leider hat es hier für uns nicht aufgehört, denn auch die Umgebung hat uns persönlich nicht zugesagt, weshalb wir nach wenigen Tagen und für eine neue Unterkunft in einem anderen Teil Siziliens entschieden haben und nicht enttäuscht wurden. Ich hoffe, dass diese Erfahrung zukünftig nicht mehr geteilt wird und das Haus ordentlich auf Vordermann gebracht wird.

Wir können uns den vorigen sehr guten Bewertungen vollends anschließen! Wir hatten als Familie mit zwei Kindern einen herrlichen Urlaub in diesem geräumigen Haus mit dem riesigen Garten. Dieser Urlaubsort bringt die ersehnte Erholung. Gemütlich eingerichtet mit voll ausgestatteter Küche, einer Waschmaschine, Badewanne, Draußendusche, Wäscheständer und Vielem mehr, gibt es alles, was man im Urlaub mit Kindern braucht. Natalie ist eine großartige Gastgeberin! Sie ist sehr sympathisch und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Guter Ausgangspunkt für die Ostküste und Etna Nord; 25min zum Strand in Fiumefreddo; 1 Stunde nach Catania. Taormina und Syrakus gut zu erreichen. Sehr hilfreiche und ausgesprochen nette Gastgeberin. Für uns als Familie mit 3 Kindern war es perfekt. Keine Angst sollte man vor Hunden (die kommen einem auf dem Grundstück besuchen) und Serpentinen (nur für gute Autofahrer :)) haben.

Ein kleines Paradies

Wir fanden das Haus und den Garten auf Anhieb wunderschön. Wir können uns eigentlich nicht vorstellen wie man seinen Urlaub besser verbringen soll als dort. Deswegen waren wir auch zwei Wochen dort. Die Lage ist toll! Linguaglossa ist ein wunderbares Dorf in dem man ganz fantastisch essen kaufen und essen gehen kann. Alle sind freundlich und wir fanden das man sehr wenig Geld ausgibt für sehr hohe Qualität. Natalie ist wahnsinnig nett! Und sie ist Touristenführerin und Sommelier. Sie hat uns den Etna gezeigt, was unvergesslich war, außerdem hat sie uns sehr viele tolle Tipps gegeben. Wenn man ans Meer will fährt man 17 min nach Fiumefreddo wo es sehr viel tollen Strand gibt. Strand, Palmen und dahinter der ausbrechende Etna…!!! Außerdem ist der Ort auch ein wunderbarer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Catania oder Taormina. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dorthin fahren!

La casa, anzi il palmento, è in campagna ed è molto bella, con ampi spazi esterni ed un giardino spettacolare. Durante il soggiorno purtroppo abbiamo avuto brutto tempo e non lo abbiamo potuto godere appieno. Si trova a Piedimonte Etneo e quindi centrale per visitare sia la costa est della Sicilia (abbiamo facilmente raggiunto Taormina, Aci Trezza ed Aci Casrello, Catania e Siracusa) sia tutta la zona Etnea che è bellissima. La padrona di casa (guida turistica e sommelier) ci ha accompagnato in una spettacolare escursione sul vulcano ed è stata prodiga di consigli e suggerimenti anche sulle cantine e sui vini. Bravissima, preparatissima e gentilissima. In buona sostanza la struttura la consiglierei certamente per la comodità della casa, per la bellezza e centralità del luogo a patto di saper accettare le condizioni di una casa di campagna.

Altes Natursteinhaus mit riesigem Garten - Familienurlaub

Wir waren mit vier Personen, zwei Kinder (2 und 10) und zwei Erwachsenen zu Gast. Das Haus selbst und vor allem der zugehörige Garten sind wunderschön. Man findet Maulbeeren, Zwetschgen, und jede Menge Trauben. Das Haus selbst ist für 4 Personen sehr gut geeignet (mit sechs Personen wird es sehr kuschelig). Wir saßen abends lange draußen und haben das schöne abendliche Wetter genossen. Durch das Natursteinhaus kann man auch nachts bei tagsüber bis 35° gut ohne Klimaanlage (die trotzdem vorhanden ist) schlafen. Nathalie, die Vermieterin, ist großartig und bietet auch Touren auf den Etna an, sehr empfehlenswert. Im Nachbarort Linguaglossa gibt es ein paar sehr gute Restaurants. Ab und zu kommen streunende Hunde zu Besuch in den Garten, aber das ist generell ein sizilianische Problem, die Insel ist nichts für Hundephobiker. Toll sind Touren in das Inland zum Beispiel nach Castiglione oder Randazzo. In Fiumefreddo und Naxos gibt es ordentliche Strände (wobei die öffentlichen wie überall in Sizilien recht schmutzig sind. Zusammengefasst handelt es sich um eine tolle Familien kompatible Unterkunft l.

Wunderschönes Haus mit großem Garten am Ätna

Das Haus ist wunderschön und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, sodass wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben. Es ist alles da, was man benötigt und die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet - es gibt sogar eine Spülmaschine. Der große Garten ist sehr einladend und wir haben viele schöne Stunden auf der Terrasse verbracht. Den Ort Piedimonte Etneo fanden wir als Ausgangspunkt perfekt, mit dem Auto ist man von hier aus sehr flexibel. Man kann tolle Wanderungen am Ätna machen, ist aber auch schnell am Meer. In den umliegenden Orten gibt es alles, was man braucht. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Drei Wochen Erholung pur

Wir konnten zu viert (50, 46, 14, 12) in diesem Sommer drei Wochen Sizilien genießen. Das Wetter war fantastisch, stabil um die 33 Grad. Die Insel ist ein Traum. Es gibt viel zu erleben und zu sehen. Sizilien hat eine sehr lange und interessante Geschichte. Der Ätna ist einfach beeindruckend und während unseres Aufenthalts auch ausgebrochen. Und dann war diese Unterkunft. Der Ort Piedimonte ist nichts besonderes. Das Haus liegt auch etwas außerhalb. Es ist wohl ein altes umgebautes Weinlager, ist aber sehr praktisch aufgeteilt. Es gibt eine große Küche, einen Schlafraum und einen extra Schlafraum für die Kinder. Dazu ein großes Bad. Das Haus ist einfach eingerichtet, es ist aber alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Selbst WLAN für die Kinder :-) Einen Blick auf den Ätna hat man leider nicht. Aber wir haben hier ein Zuhause für unseren Urlaub gefunden. Wir hatten hier den idealen Startpunkt für unsere Unternehmungen. Das fing mit der Tagesplanung auf der Schaukelliege an und ging beim ausgedehnten Frühstück unter dem Pflaumenbaum weiter. Das Grundstück ist recht groß und beherbergt einiges an Obst. Die Pflaumen waren sehr lecker, Maulbeeren sind nicht so unser Geschmack und der Wein war noch nicht reif. Aber der Garten ist unheimlich entspannend. Am Abend saßen wir oft noch bei einem Glas Amaro oder Rotwein bis tief in die Nacht auf der Terrasse und genossen die Stille und den Blick in die Sterne. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Sie hat sich auch ein paar mal erkundigt, ob wir etwas benötigen, dies aber nie aufdringlich. Sie arbeitet als Führerin auf den Ätna. Da wir aber selbst auf den Ätna gewandert sind, haben wir dies nicht in Anspruch genommen. Alles in allem war dies ein sehr erlebnisreicher und schöner Urlaub in einer - für unsere Ansprüche - dafür perfekt geeigneten Unterkunft. Die Unterkunft bietet Ruhe und Entspannung, der Urlaub hier steht für Wandern, Geschichte, Tagesausflüge in schöne Städte und natürlich gutes Essen und Trinken. Klar waren wir auch baden und tauchen, aber ein Badeurlaub am Sandstrand sieht sicher anders aus.

Quiet getaway

The house is awesome. It has a big yard with a nice view of the hills. Technically you have neighbors, their garden is 2 meters lower than yours, but we haven't seen or heard anyone there. Even if they would be there, you'd still have all the privacy you need. The kids can play around in the backyard. The only reason it is not a 5 star review is that the garden does have some areas that could potentially be unsafe for the kids, including the DIY swing, a beehive and and a hole covered by a plank. The inside of the house is pleasant. It doesn't have a living room area though. What would be the living room has a double bed in it and a desk. The spacious kitchen also holds a kitchen table, which we barely used since we had all of our meals outside. The nearest market is a 3 minute drive away. You can find all your essentials there. It'approx 25 minutes (if I remember correctly) to drive up the Northside of the Etna. Taormina is also around 20 minutes away. The 2 towns around the property ate not of much interest and quite sleepy the times we were there.

La casa e il giardino sono molto affascinanti. E' situata in ottima posizione per visitare la costa (Taormina, Catania e Siracusa) e per salire sull'Etna, ma anche per trascorrere un tranquillo pomeriggio nel magnifico e profumato giardino, dotato anche di giochi per bambini. Piedimonte e' molto carino, e fornito di vari negozi e ristoranti. Da non perdere la sagra del maccherone a Vena! Un bellissimo soggiorno!!

Vous aimez les resorts, la foule, le bruit ... alors passez votre chemin. Par contre si vous cherchez un endroit authentique qui en quelques heures vous fait oublier votre quotidien personnel et vous permet de vous intégrer au milieu des siciliens de cette charmante petite ville accrochée aux premières pentes de l'Etna, loin des turbulences et des trépidations de nos vies de citadins pressés, alors vous avez trouvez. Cette cave réhabilitée n'est pas luxueuse mais très confortable, originale avec une liaison wifi gratuite qui fonctionne. Stéphanie l'a habitée avec ses enfants. On a l'impression qu'elle était encore là la veille. Son aménagement convient parfaitement pour un couple avec deux enfants. De là vous n'êtes qu'à quelques minutes de l'autoroute et pouvez facilement accéder aux différents centres d'intérêt de la côte Est de Messine à Syracuse. Vous pouvez aussi achetez vos billets à la gare de Linguaglossa et prendre l'autorail de CircumEtna pour rejoindre Randazzo, une ville médiévale à ne pas manquer. Un reproche malgré tout à Nathalie. Elle n'indique nulle part qu'elle fait partie des guides officiels de l'Etna. Bien sur elle ne parle pas français mais, et nous l'avons su trop tard, elle peut vous mettre en contact avec l'un de ses amis d'origine suisse lui-même guide. Elle s'est rattrapée en nous faisant rencontrer un vigneron qui nous a fait déguster sa production. Un vin d'excellente facture dont nous avons ramené quelques bouteilles ... Pour résumer : 15 jours agréables qui nous laissent d'excellents souvenirs.

Ein eigenes Reich

Natalies Haus, eine umgebaute, alte, sphärvolle Weinmacherei mit einem riesigen Garten liegt ganz ruhig in den Hügeln. Man hat hier völlig sein eigenes Reich und kann denken der einzige Tourist in ganz Sizilien zu sein.Es ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und in der Küche ist alles vorhanden .Natalie ist sehr hilfsbereit, kann viele Tips geben und ist vor allem Geologin und Bergführerin auf dem Ätna! Das Haus ist eine gute Ausfallsbasis um den Ätna und die umliegenden Orte zu erkunden.Wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt!

La maison de Natalie est ...

La maison de Natalie est plus belle encore que sur les photos, à l'intérieur comme à l'extérieur! nous y avons séjourné 1 semaine mais une semaine de plus à "farnienter" dans le hamac en regardant le soleil se coucher sur la colline (en sirotant un bon verre de vin sicilien) n'aurait pas été de trop! Piedimonte est un point de départ idéal pour de multiples excursions dont évidemment l'Etna par le versant nord (moins touristique et plus verdoyant). Toute la campagne alentour est splendide. bref, une location top!
