The house is large and allows to accommodate 21 people, having two lounges, a dining room, a games room, 6 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, 4 bathroom with shower, an outside toilet and 2 kitchens.

On the first floor is the entrance hall, lounge / dining room, a suite with shower, 2 twin extra long bedrooms, a bathroom with shower, a fully equipped kitchen and another suite with shower.

At level 0, which is a continuation of the garden and pool area, we have a suite with a full bathroom, a second kitchen to support the barbecue and a games room with snooker, table tennis, darts and other social games for adults and children.

The exterior features a pergola with garden furniture, barbecue area with table and chairs for 16 people and a swimming pool (10 x 5 m), surrounded by wooden deck and lawn, with coverage for child protection. There is also a court for basketball, volleyball, badminton and mini-tennis, a sandy area for football, volleyball and Turnball, and a sandbox for children.

Finally, a loft with natural light and very colorful, which has four single beds, one double sofa bed and can accomodate other beds if needed. There is a corner for the little ones (with a small table and chairs, toys, etc.).

The Yellow House is ideal for families with play areas for everyone, allowing to enjoy both the beach and the mountains (both 2.5 km away).

Great for a large group

We were a group of 22, mostly teenagers, and the accommodation was great. Paulo and Elena were most helpful and accommodating. The backyard with the pool, the games room and living room provided plenty of space for the group together and in smaller groups.

Happy family!

We had a great vacation in The Yellow House. Elena gave us a warm welcome. We could contact her and Paulo if it was necessary. The house was clean and had everything we needed. We had a great time in the garden and swimmingpool and the children enjoyed the playhouse and the playground.

Great for a large family of varied ages

Our family of 16, eight adults and eight children (17mths-11 years), enjoyed time at the Yellow House. The setting was beautiful & pleasant throughout the day. The wide variety of activities available for young and old kept everyone entertained and happy. The proximity of the house to the many wonders of Sintra and the beach was perfect for our purposes and some of us walked or ran to the beach on the nice foot/bike path directly across the street. We paid the steep price of €245 to heat the pool thinking it would make it more enjoyable during the unseasonably cool days of our stay and it did. We were surprised to learn upon arriving that the pool has no “coverage with child protection” as the listing states. The covered outdoor eating area for 20+ was one of the things we enjoyed the most. Having two kitchens and a third refrigerator outdoors was very helpful for keeping the hungry masses fed and refreshed with beverages. The dish & utensil supplies were adequate for our numbers. Both stoves were small and challenging to use which slowed meal preparation. The many bedrooms and bathrooms were ideal for our family, including the attic loft. The sleeping areas had been thoughtfully arranged for the demographics of our group. If you have a large group which enjoys the outdoors and/or a group with varied ages, such as ours, I think you, too, will enjoy this house.

Great break with loads of space

We had a fantastic break at this property for a 40th birthday. Accomodation was spacious with hoards of activities to keep us entertained. Hosts were fantastic with a warm welcome offering advice on the area and responded quickly to any queries.

Un week-end en famille réussie !

La maison est conforme aux photos, très bien située pour de belles visites à Lisbonne mais aussi Sintra et bien d autres belle villes autour. Un grand merci à Paolo mais une mention spéciale pour Helena et son professionnalisme sans faille : Quel accueil chaleureux, et ce repas portugais concocté à la dernière minute....Nous nous sommes régalés. Big group for event

We had a lovely time at the house. We were a big group of different nationalities. Brazilians and croatians. The house was spotless, everything was working and it had all amenities we needed. We had a birthday party at the house and it went very well. There are restaurants and a shop walking distance from the house so there was nothing we needed we couldn't get. Paulo was lovely and approachable so we were very happy with our stay. We recommend it completely.

Eine Woche Seele baumeln lassen

Das gelbe Haus liegt in einem kleinen Örtchen. Ein toll ausgestatteter Supermarkt ist keine 5 Minuten entfernt und bietet wirklich alles was man braucht. Zur nächsten größeren Stadt oder zum Strand ist man aber eine Weile unterwegs (vor allem, wenn man ohne Auto hier ist). Die Fotos des Inserates treffen zu 100 % zu - das Objekt aus den 40er Jahren ist schön hergerichtet, der große Garten mit Pool und tollem Kinderspielplatz ist ein echter Traum. Wir haben unsere Woche also ohne Probleme am Pool verbringen können. Der Check in könnte noch etwas optimiert werden, denn die Verantwortliche konnte leider nur Portugiesisch sprechen, was ab und zu die Kommunikation erschwert und für Missverständnisse gesorgt hat. Die Kommunikation mit Paulo hingegen war reibungslos und perfekt. Er hat den Urlaub für uns zu einem unvergesslichen und sorgenfreien Erlebnis werden lassen. Für all unsere Wünsche war er jederzeit erreichbar und hat uns sogar auch sehr kurzfristig helfen können. Alle Transfers und Ausflüge hat er wunderbar organisiert (unbedingte Empfehlung: Der Bootsausflug in Lissabon). Die Weinprobe im Haus war ebenfalls ein echte Highlight. Ein wunderbarer Abend mit ausgiebigem Essen und interessanten Informationen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist nicht zu toppen. Mücken waren im Haus unser nächtlicher Begleiter, also unbedingt Mückenschutz einpacken. Aber auch das konnte die tollen Erinnerungen und den wunderbaren Urlaub nicht schmälern. Vielen Dank Paulo es war herrlich bei dir!

Family hols in colares.

Was a lovely big house and fab pool. However needs to be clearer about pool charge. Was not aware that it would be extra 200 euro's to heat the pool. Also some broken sun beds and an old washing machine left in the garden. Could do with some newer furniture in games room. Lady who checked us in and out and cleaned was lovely and very helpful. Very pleasant area and enjoyed our stay.

Très bon séjour

Très belle maison fidèle à la description donnée, située dans une belle région et près de Lisbonne. Il y a de grands espaces, nous étions 17 pers (4 couples avec des enfants de 8 à 20 ans) et tout le monde a été satisfait de cette location pratique, fonctionnelle, très propre. Les équipements proposés, piscine, terrasse couverte avec barbecue, les chambres, salles de bains, cuisines, espaces de jeux sont appréciables. Vraiment rien à redire, nous y avons passé tous de bons moments. Paulo, le propriétaire est très aimable et est toujours disponible pour donner des informations aussi bien sur la maison que sur les visites et restaurants, et bien d'autres choses et très à l'écoute. Hélèna, la personne qui s'occupe de l'entretien de la maison est très gentille, serviable et discrète également attentive à notre bien être. Nous recommandons sans hésitation cette location et espérons nous y retrouver bientôt.

An amazing week in a beautiful house

We stayed at the Yellow house in Colares for a week and we couldn't wish for a better house. When you swap through the photos you might believe that it can not be like shown but it actually is as beautiful. We arrived at the house and after a quick Check-In, which was absolutely sufficient, we had a look at the house and were stoked. A beautiful garden with everything you might need for a relaxed stay for families but also for a young group like us (20 ppl between 17-18 years old). A badminton field, a basketball hoop, a table tennis plate and and and. One can find many bathrooms, two dishwasher, two kitchens. So there are no space problems. The house was clean and neat. About the surroundings: In a distance of 200m you get to a small supermarket but there is not that much else in Colares. But it just takes around 15 minutes to get to Sintra. And like 40 minutes to walk to the beach where we took a surf course which was organized by Paulo ( the house owner). Additionally I have to say that I haven't come across a home owner, that put so much effort in providing a good customer service. He helped us a lot during our stay, always responded to a question after minutes and organized stuff such as a surf course, a shuttle service, taxis and so much more. To sum up I (we) strongly recommend the stay at the yellow house.

Prestations personnalisées et professionnelles

Nous avons loué la villa de Paulo dans le cadre d'un séminaire d'entreprise pour héberger une équipe de 11 salariés, la moyenne d'age est de 30 ans. La maison est beaucoup plus spacieuse qu'elle ne le paraît. Elle est aménagée et décorée avec goût. Nous avons apprécié ses nombreux équipements: jardin avec terrain de basket, salon de jeu avec billard et baby foot. Paulo a organisé pour nous des prestations spécifiques telles qu'un cooking show avec un Chef, préparation de breakfasts et de panier snacks pour le goûter. Sur notre demande, il a aussi fait chauffer la piscine En mars. Quel qu'ait été notre besoin, Paulo a toujours proposé des solutions adaptées. Toutes les prestations ont été professionnelles et satisfaisantes. Paulo a été particulièrement aidant lorsque nous avions oublié les clés: il a immédiatement envoyé Helena, l'intendante chargée de la maison, pour nous ouvrir la porte, et ce un vendredi soir. Comme Helena habite à proximité nous n'avions pas eu a attendre longtemps. Elle est par ailleurs remarquablement gentille et compétente. Nous recommandons chaleureusement donc la villa, les services apportés par Paulo et Helena, dans le cadre de séjour professionnel pour des petites équipes, en précisant bien que les salles de bain et chambres devront être partagées (demandez auparavant le plan des chambres et salles de bain).

Perfect!

The house is very comfortable, clean, well organised and agreeable. While the size is suitable for big groups or families, it is still cozy. Fully equipped with all it is required and some nice extras - the fireplaces and games room lend a nice touch. Best part for us though, was the outside. The garden was well kept and protected from wind, with places to play basket, volleyball and ping-pong. The heated pool allows to be bathing comfortably even during the night. On the whole a great house. We left with the will to come back soon for another great vacations.

The perfect holiday villa

We had the most perfect holiday and were so happy that we picked the Yellow House. It can be a little daunting deciding where to stay, but we couldn't have been any luckier with our choice. Paulo was the most amazing host and the house keeper Helena was brilliant. We went to Portugal with our whole family celebrating a birthday. We later decided to get married, and The Yellow House was where we had our reception with a laid back bbq. The facilities in the villa are excellent; we played table tennis, basketball, darts, badminton and pool and then we had the swimming pool on top. The rooms are absolutely beautiful. The photos do not do them justice at all. The ceilings are really high! The house is great for entertaining and during our stay we had lots of meals outside on the dining table as a large group. The beds were comfy and the rooms are spacious. The location is quiet and peaceful with only a short taxi ride to anything you could want. We would love to visit this property again and would recommend it to anyone. We were blown away with the kindness we were shown.
