Perfect address in the perfect village!

The apartment was all that it was said to be on the website, so pleased with my final decision to stay here. A lovely building, positioned between the railway station and bus station and on the verge of the old village section. Easy walking distance to all the attractions that Menton has to offer. Many people have advised on the apartment and in particular the balcony, I agree! As a person that uses public transport to get around, Menton was a really good choice. The local buses and the trains accommodated the list of places and interests that I wanted to see. So nice to stay in a beautiful town that is not crowded, however provides all facilities required for a very happy stay. Many thanks Marcel and Josee, hope to return before long.

Lovely place in lovely area

The terrace is fantastic! It faces south, the view is onto beautiful older French buildings and the table is wonderful for breakfast or any other time outside. The location is also perfect: great supermarket across the street (even the baguette there is excellent), 5 minutes to the ocean front promenade, and another 5 minutes different direction to old town and the pedestrian area. The kitchen is tight but has everything you need. Bathroom is brand new. The building has an elevator. We would stay there again.

Fantastic

The property is very comfortable,in a fabulous location and neighbourhood. Everything we needed was in the property,close to shops,beach,bars and restaurants.Marcel and Josee are wonderful hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them.We`re already planning our next trip.

Menton

Marcel and Josee answered all my questions promptly and were very easy to keep in touch with. The location is excellent right in the old village. Buses and trains are frequent & make all the routes to other old villages along the coast very accessible. Nice is only 40 mins by train. The veranda is wonderful. Work surfaces in the kitchen are limited but sufficient for making breakfast and snacks. Some beach towels would be a good addition particularly for those arriving by plane. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was a good one and all electrical appliances worked very well. The door is double bolted making you feel very safe and secure within the apartment. Vertrouwen

Toen we een jaar op voorhand het appartement boekten, heb ik mij vooral gebaseerd op de foto’s van de ligbedden (confortabele ergonomische met dikke kussens) op het terras. Als rugpatient is dit voor mij heel belangrijk, daar ik niet altijd in de mogelijkheid ben om naar het strand te gaan op een voor mijnrug slechte dag. Het interieur is ondergeschikt, omdat wij toch altijd buiten zitten. Bij aankomst bleek dat ons geboekte appartement niet beschikbaar was en dat er als “verrassing” een ander appartement voor ons voorzien was. Het was zeker een mooi appartement, maar na een lange zware autoreis zit men niet op een verrassing te wachten en heb ik misschien nogal heftig gereageerd, maar begrip kreeg ik in geen geval toen ik probeerde uit te leggen de reden i.v.m. de ligbedden. Deze van het “Verrassingsappartent” waren plat op de grond waar men zelfs als gezonde mens niet uitraakt. Dit heb ik aangekaart. Toen werd er heftig gereageerd dat hij als politieagent bij interpol werkte en dat we dan maar moesten vertrekken en we ons geld terugkregen. begin augustus volledig hoogseizoen is dit natuurlijk geen optie. We zijn dus gebleven en hebben er het beste van gemaakt en zijn zelf ligstoelen gaan kopen. (Wat natuurlijk niet echt de bedoeling was) We hebben een goed verlof gehad. Ook nog dit :de garage is niet in hetzelfde gebouw, is op minus 3 en klein. Men moet door 2 vergrendelde deuren om buiten te geraken. De staanplaats waarvan sprake is niet voor huurders. Door het drukke hoogseizoen niet echt gemakkelijk om de auto kwijt te raken om boodschappen uit te laden.
