This is a GREAT vacation rental! Our 2 story with stairs unit is very up-to-date, remodeled with a gorgeous kitchen, sizable outdoor patio and balcony area to relax in. Also it is just steps from the beach! Each bedroom is nicely furnished for your comfort. 1 California King in the Master, 1 Queen in secondary bedroom, and 2 single beds that can sleep 2 in another room. Enjoy the amenities that SEASCAPE SUR has to offer including 2 heated pools, a spa/Jacuzzi, sauna, adult lounge and tennis courts. BBQ Grill on patio, and if tank is empty we will reimburse you to fill it. Whether you are vacationing from out of town or selecting this as your 'stay-cation' destination, making this choice will guarantee an AMAZING time!

We enjoyed our week just north of San Diego. Down several stair flights to one of the two the pool/hot tubs, a few more to the beach to watch the surfers. 10 mins walk to the Fletcher Beach playground, brew pubs, and wine tasting. 10 mins drive to LegoLand, Costco, 20 mins to Seaworld and the Zoo. The accommodation was updated, clean and comfortable. The kids loved the loft area for reading and playing with their LEGO. The complex heated pool and hot tub (overlooking the tennis courts) were also a hit and the kids met a few new play friends! This rental was a good value. Regards, Jesse. - Vancouver, Canada

Well maintained condo, well stocked. Condo complex is on the beach, and this unit is in the middle, not directly on the beach, nor on the back end facing the road. Therefore, quiet, and 1-2 minutes to beach. Lots of boogie boards, chairs, etc. My only criticism: There are 3 bedrooms, easily sleeping 6. There is a loft, but a vertical ladder to reach it, and no bed.. Thus, not sure it really sleeps 7 easily. However, overall: a great place!

Superb in every way!!!

My family and I have been coming to Solana Beach for several years now and this was our first stay at this particular property. We were so impressed! The property is spacious, clean, and updated. It's stocked with just about everything - whether it was for cooking dinner in (fully equipped kitchen) or for a day at the beach (lots of chairs, toys, boogie boards, etc.), we had what we needed. The property's parking garage was easily accessible and provided plenty of parking (2 connected spaces) for our large SUV. Bonus: the walk from the parking garage to the unit was quite short. Warren was very pleasant to work with. He went out of his way to ensure we were well taken care of and that the property met our needs and expectations (it did!). I fully recommend this property. Thank you Warren for helping make our family vacation a success! We look forward to coming back for many years to come (as long as you'll have us :) ...

Quiet beach rental

We stayed here for six nights during our fall break in October and we were surprised how quiet and residential this area was. As in the other reviews, it was only steps from the cliffs of the Pacific with beautiful views. You have to take a short walk down the steps to get to the beach. The condo had three bedrooms. The main bedroom had a lofted area where someone could sleep on an air mattress. However, I wouldn't recommend it because it is very high and the ladder can be a bit tricky to negotiate. The loft area wasn't clean either. The condo had no air conditioning but the home cooled nicely in the evenings for our return. The division had two pools and two hot tubs. Only one of the pools was heated but it was more than adequate. There are some nice shops and restaurants within walking distance as is a CVS which was very handy for convenience items. Larger grocery chains and restaurants are within a 10 minute drive. Downtown San Diego and Mission Beach/La Jolla are roughly 30 minutes away and Anaheim (Disney) is about 1:15 minutes away depending on traffic. The kitchen area was adequate and the living space was great for relaxing and watching the Cubs beat the Dodgers. The only surprise is that the actual beach disappeared during high tide. Unfortunately, during our stay, high tide usually coincided with the warmest and sunniest parts of the day. Therefore, we didn't always have a beach to go to. Fortunately, we had other activities planned such as the zoo, Disney, Mission Beach, Cabrillo tide pools, etc... You may want to look at the tide charts prior to booking on Solana Beach.

Great family stay for our trail race

The community was nice and have no complaints overall. The first day we were there it was hot day and the upstairs was warm when we checked in. We were surprised there wasn't any AC. We opened windows and it was cool by bedtime and wasn't an issue for the rest of the stay.

Overall a good stay. Great neighborhood. The unit is not on the beach nor does it have an ocean view, but it is easily accessible. Lots of beach toys and chairs etc to use. Beds were really nice and comfortable and kitchen was fully stocked. The property itself could use a little updating, it wasn't overly nice but good for kids.

Central location, practical layout. Close to shops and restaurants. If you have kids who get excited about the room with the loft playroom - the loft is not available to use, so manage expectations ahead of arriving. Otherwise a nice property and we will visit again

Mix bag of feelings

First of all I think its important to DISCLOSE this property is not OCEAN FRONT. Its a condo and the condo project is oceanfront but there is no view or sound of the ocean from this unit. You have a long walk through the complex to see the ocean and then 130 steps down to the sand. You will want to bring your stuff down to the beach in the morning and leave most if you plan on coming up for lunch or naps and then back down to the beach. The unit was very well stocked. It had beach chairs, umbrellas and toys for us to enjoy. The parking was one of the best attributes, you have two spaces and they are super close to the unit. The coffee pot was leaking every time we brewed and we couldn't figure out why until the hairline fracture on the pot finally cracked completely spilling coffee everywhere. Warren delivered a new pot to us that same day which was very nice of him. The floorplan is a bit awkward upstairs. The flooring is all a light colored laminate and there is a random step running down the center of the room. It is hard to see due to the fact its the same color flooring and our 2 and 4 year old each took a tumble on it the first day. This is dangerous for small kids and elder adults. Overall we enjoyed our time in the unit. We were disappointed by location as we thought it was ocean front as described in the listing. We did book a few days before arriving so we were lucky to find it but I dont think we would return.

Not the best stay in Solana

The location is great and the master bed was wonderfully comfortable. The TV's & internet were super. Unfortunately, there is a mildew/mold issue on the lower level which made it difficult for us to sleep & spend any amount of time down there. I had to constantly spray Lysol, open all windows & put the fans on high everyday. In order to sleep, I had to open all windows & put the space heaters on plus medicate myself. The Manager, Warren, tried to address it by cleaning out the front loader washer ( which had mold all around the gasket) which helped a little with the odor but, the issue remained. I could not keep any of our clothes or luggage downstairs & had to launder everything & clean all luggage with bleach when I got home because of the order. The patio faces north so don't expect any sun there. The view was not very nice as there was a big blue tarp on the adjacent roof and another deck undergoing repair. We asked Warren for some sort of partial refund but, he has not responded yet. The property is lovely & we really enjoyed the pools/spas. The unit was very quite. I could not consider this unit for myself again. Thank you, Dawn

I am sorry this person feels the way she does. When she told me about the smell, I immediately went over to condo and didnt smell anything. I cleaned and deodorized the washing machine. She said she sprayed so smell was gone. As for the view with tarps on roofs. We had some rain and people had some leaks and were fixing them. I dont know what to say except, not sure what you want from that. Only bad complaint we have had with this condo. Please disregard the complaint.....

We had a most enjoyable time, accessing both Encinidas and San Diego easily from this location. Beach access was easy with a fantastic sand beach. The property was well maintained, with great pools, quiet grounds, and the Condo was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. We would love to come back with the kids and would recommend it to our friends. Management and VRBO were very Professional, and quick to assist us with all our needs.

Great location!

We stayed at this Solana Beach Property for five days with our two children. The location is great offering a close walk to the beach, children's play place at Fletcher's cove (also offers spectacular views of the sunset!) The townhouse is spacious and offers all that you could want. Large bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a large living/dining area with open plan kitchen and a balcony. We especially liked the fact that it's a gated community with an underground parking lot just steps away from the house. Also the community offers two swimming pools/spas and direct access to the beach. Furthermore the location is just steps from restaurants and is a nice and quiet . If you're looking for a nice place, in a quiet location this is the place you should be choosing.

Absolutely loved our stay at this cozy townhome in Solana Beach! Unit was clean, well maintained, up to date appliances, and the beds were extremely comfortable! Garage program is very convenient and includes 2 spots (though we only had 1 car). There was also a closet full of everything you need for a day at the beach; cooler, umbrella, beach chairs etc. Owners clearly thought of everything, all you have to do is show up and enjoy! The development has a nice pool with hot tub and a walkway that overlooks the ocean with a couple benches that were great for morning coffee and watching sunsets. Location was great, easy walk to the local cafes and public beach access points. Warren was very accommodating and even allowed us to get into the unit early because it happened to be empty when we arrived! We will definitely stay here again!

Well maintained property but a little inconvenient sleeping arrangements for (4) adults and two children. The third bedroom is really meant to be a den (with a trundle bed). The children loved the beach!

As beautiul as the pics!!!

This is by far the most beautiful and accommodating rental we have stayed in. It is equiped with everything a chef would need, plus some extras. It was spacious and so comfortable. The mornings were a little chilly outdoors, so staying inside a bit was completely fine with the kids. Loved our stay, what a beauty!!!
