Our house is an accommodation from 12 to 18 persons.
Anyway we can just have 2-3 rooms? Absolutely no problem, please contact us!
Do you like to stay in the countryside, in the middle of the nature, completely surrounded by greenery?
Our house was an ancient share cropping farm of 1600, totally renovated in 2005.
Today it comprises 25 magnificent acres of land and woods.

Locanda del Papa is located in the ancient Commune of Carpena, on the hills behind the Cinque Terre (Riomaggiore), a few feet from the Foce Pass, from where the view extends to La Spezia and the area contained between Portovenere and Lerici called the Gulf of Poets.

There is no problem with parking, since the property is totally enclosed and the access road is Entered through a gate.

There are six available rooms with queen-sized beds. In the three largest rooms extra beds may be added.
All rooms have private bath, TV and wi fi internet connection (in the room)
In winter the rooms are heated from a central furnace assuring the maximum comfort and in the largest rooms Also there are wood stoves with visible flames.
In the summer there is no need of air conditioning. Nature Provides it with its cool evening breeze.

That I know many of you wish to visit the Cinque Terre. Well, this is a good place. We are 6 km from the La Spezia RR Station and the train is the best means of reaching the Cinque Terre (it takes 8 minutes to Riomaggiore and the Via dell'Amore (Lovers Lane).
Also we are 7 km from the embarkation point of the passenger boats That in the summer visit to the towns along the Gulf of Poets and the Cinque Terre.

By car you can reach many places. We are 15 km from Monterosso and 20 km from Riomaggiore in the Cinque Terre. La Spezia is very close with its famous naval museum and civic museum Amedeo Lia. Portovenere, designated by UNESCO in 1997 a World Heritage Site, is only 16 km away from our House. Lerici, with its enchanted bay and its beaches certified "Blue Flag" (Blue Flag) For Their cleanliness is only 12 km away.
Tellaro, designated one of the 100 most beautiful small towns of Italy is 4 km from Lerici.

Are you a fan of hiking? Path no. 501 of the Cinque Terre begins at our door, you can reach Riomaggiore, first of Cinque Terre .... in around 2.5 hours. The city bus stop is just 1500 feet from our House and the La Spezia RR Station only 15 minutes away (busses run every 45-50 minutes).
No problem for the parking, our property is 10 hectares !! :-)

If you are traveling without a car no problem, but please, let me know this in advance, During the booking process, would be a pleasure to pick you up at La Spezia Central Train Station and I can help you with suggestion, tips and much more ... but I absolutely need to know this in advance.
Unfortunately we are not incendio offer a full / daily shuttle service, but do not worry, there is a very good bus service That conect my house with the city, busses run around every hour and the city is just 15 min away.

Are you hungry?
Absolutely no problem, near our house, just 1500 feet away, easy Reached by walk in few minutes there are 2 local trattoria and pizzeria 1.
Anyway, if you prefer, you can use our fully equipped kitchen: crockery and cutlery, oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, etc. ..
