In Porto Martins Bay Apartments we strive to offer a fantastic stay experience for those visiting the island of Terceira. We offer great accommodations at an exceptional place that will make you feel at home and make your holiday unforgettable.
Located by the sea in the beautiful village of Porto Martins, these local accommodation units surrounded by an exotic garden offer comfort, convenience and a pleasant and relaxing view where you and the sea are only separated by a few steps. Even in front of the apartments there is little access to the sea that makes the wonders of those who like to take a relaxing bath away from the crowds. There are other nearby bathing areas as the famous natural pools of Porto Martins.

The apartments are situated just a mere 15 minutes from the airport. The facilities consist of two 2 bedroom apartments fully equipped twins, each with an area of ​​100 square meters. The apartments are located right in the center of Porto Martins, near the Church. Both apartments have a balcony, living room, 2 bedrooms, kitchen and a bathroom.
Around the apartments is an exotic garden piously embellished by the owners. In this garden you can find some of the most typical of the Azores landscape of flowers.
Well equipped, with ample space and a cool environment, our accommodations provide one of the best stay experiences in the Third, with everything you need to make you feel like in your home.

We are always available to help our guests in order to provide a great stay. Not only help in matters related to the stay in the apartments, we also help in marking of tourist services, give information about places to visit and activities to try. The apartment was absolutely wonderful. A cup of coffee as the sun comes up, watching the tide come on. We found the location to be perfect for all of our adventures. There were clear directions given by the contact, and drawer full of instruction manuals for the appliances, that was very helpful.The apartment was very clean, its open layout means you have sun all day long. Will absolutely book the apartment again on future visits to the island.

Wonderful place!

The airport was very close and so was the grocery. We had lots of space, the view was extra, the natural pool juste in front was inviting. We even went snorkeling and saw an octopus and many fish. The owner lived under us and was very kind and gave us a lot of information on the island. The only bother we had was that the neighbors dogs barked quite a lot…

Spectacular setting on Terceira in Porto Martins

I am already recommending you apartments I loved awaking daily to the sunrise watching the sea at my feet. The Porto Martins bathing pool is just a short walk. I snorkled in winter with a wet suit, so many fishes!!! Both the Vista Grille and Buzius are great restaurants. There are bus stops at the church and at the recycle station. We did not rent a car, used buses, taxi and tours for the 30 days we were there. Daily walks along the paved trail were a favorite of mine. Make sure you visit local restaurants in villages too The Paulo Gomes and his parents went above and beyond for me. I can not thank them enough!

We had a very pleasant stay at the apartment and found everything as expected according to the online information. Paulo was waiting for us and explained everything. He and his parents, who live downstairs, are very nice and were always available for help if needed. The view - and the large terrace! - are a real asset and absolutely delightful. We could not have wished more (but less wind!) for a very enjoyable stay. We can definitely recommend this place to everyone.

My name is Paulo Gomes, I am on the right side of the profile photo. I am a native of Terceira Island, I was born in 1982 and I'm an environmental engineer, working on waste management in municipalities of Praia da Vitória.
I am passionate about nature and particularly by sea, I love to surf and sail on my boat.
I am also passionate about music, I started playing guitar at age 14 and never stopped. I Currently play in 3 groups.
I also love traveling, I have had the privilege of visiting almost half of Europe and to visit countries such as Brazil and the United States of America.
Like almost all natives of Terceira island, I like to treat well those who visit us and show the best of what this land has to offer.

In the photograph on the left side is my father, Ilídio Gomes 75 years. Together we manage Porto Martins Bay Apartments with the goal of providing our guests an unforgettable experience.
Ilídio is also a lover of the sea and nature, loves to fish and sail. He also loves playing music and was one of the founders of the oldest band of the Azores and one of the oldest in Portugal and perhaps the world - Os Sombras.
Ilídio also has a talent for the fine arts, he's a painter. All paintings that decorate our apartments were painted by him. His painting atelier is located below the apartments on the ground floor of the building where he also lives.
